I can recommend Hotel Franz for business trip, good staff and very comfortable rest.

Nice room, quiet and comfortable. Very good staff. Nice value for money.

A bit more variety on the Breakfast would be nice. It was nice but I would expect something more from 4* hotel.

Excellent if you have to be in Essen for a short, working stay.

Big room with all necessary amenities. Quiet and clean. Good parking space, very close to the hotel

Parking fee of € 15,- seems too much Hotel has no restaurant and during my visit on banking holiday, all restaurants in the direct vicinity were also closed.

Friendly staff and nice and big rooms.

Bit far from the city centre and you have to pay for the parking if you want to use the hotel parking.

there are nice staff here including the restaurant staff. i could enjoyed the breackfas (large selection) and also enjoyed beer & wine at the bar.

location is not much for me. it was difficult to find the restaurant around this hotel, we had to go to Essen central station.

Nice Hotel , very clean and comfortable beds

the room is big , no carpet on the floor

I had a bathroom for a person in a wheelchair, it’s good that the Hotel has a room like this to offer , but I would prefer to have a ‘standard’ bathroom . I don’t like the quality of the towels . I prefer white fluffy towels

Pretty good, decent breakfast, friendly staff. 8/10

It was clean and inviting. The staff were super friendly and helped tremendously with any questions we had, whether about transport or restaurants.

It was a little far out for us, but the tram down the road made getting into Essen really easy. Think it took around 10-15 minutes.

It is a clean hotel with a very friendly staff for a short stay, but don't book the breakfast

The staff at the reception was very friendly. Check in and check out was very smooth. The room was a good standard room, nothing exceptional but everything you need is there.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The choice was very limited. But the most disappointing thing was that there was no refill when anything was finished. I only asked for some slices of cucumber but even this was denied...

fantastic

the manager of the restaurant (breakfast) was adorable! she is very kind and very reasonable. Thank you for having a great breakfast. the receptionist from the evening and night on May 27th were also very kind and help-full. Staff is awesome.

unfortunately there were no bath tubes available in the room but the showers were also good!

Fully recommended!

I can fully recommend this hotel. The place was clean, comfortable; breakfasts very good. The service absolutely helpful and amazing. I really liked the hotel and hopefully come back next year!
