Family-friendly B&B on a citrus farm next to Addo

Very family-friendly place, conveniently located to explore Addo. Lo-Mari was a great and friendly host. The kids enjoyed the pool and the playground. The best thing in the end was to leave with a clean car.

There is not much to mention here. Mattress was alright but could be more comfy. Bathroom could be modernized.

Wie bereits in vorheriger Buchung in 2023 wieder alles sehr gut, Familienfreundlich. Bydand liegt etwas abseits der Hauptstraße, daher sehr ruhig, aber trotzdem zentral. Frühstück auch sehr gut

Perfect little gem just a short drive from the Addo main gate. Loved every moment here, from the pool to the comfortable

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Perfectly appointed facilities in the room, and a well-tended garden, pool and kiddies play area. Loved it!

Lovely Stay ♡

Lovely place to stay, I wish we had more time to explore and take a walk in the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you Lo-Mari we enjoyed your hospitality and facilities.

I had ana amazing experience staying at Bydand. The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. And all of this

I loved the fact that each room has its own alarm system so you know that your belongings are secure even when you’re not there.

The prompt response with the guest house. Explained everything at check-in. Friendly owner and staff. Excellent English breakfast plus variety and fresh fruit.

Good location just outside the park

The place was lovely and communication with the hosts went smooth. We would have a dip in the pool before breakfast, which was very nice. The host is super friendly and has some very cute dogs. The Addo Elephant entrance gate is only a 15 min drive away. Would highly recommend this place!

The place was so nice amongst the citrus trees. Owner was super nice and caring with us. Room was large, clean and spacious. Great place to start your Addo safari from! Also, breakfast was 👌👌👌

Beautiful setting with accommodating hosts. Rooms are lovely and big. Breakfast was delicious. Great location for easy access to the park.

the beautiful view and sunset good breakfast the location ( perfect to be in Addo national park the next morning ) very friendly owner the swimming pool with sunset the terraces

the pipe of the shower a bit to short to be used behind the water protection (the bathroom gets a bit wet) ;) nothing else

Nice property and comfortable room close to the pool, but beware the local security!

Nice big bedroom, 2 verandas, close to the pool and nice breakfast, with friendly hosts.

We were concerned to hear of local robberies of tourist traffic in the close local area, and in fact were advised by our hosts not to leave the property on foot for security reasons. In addition, another guest arriving by car just after us was stopped by locals and although unharmed, he was very shocked. We did feel safe in our room, however, and there was an alarm which we set when we locked ourselves in for the night.

The place was really nice and the hosts were super friendly. We were able to relax at the pool before we went out for a game drive at Addo. In the morning we had to leave quit early and could not make it for breakfast, within minutes they had prepared a breakfast to-go, which we enjoying during our drive through the park. Very thoughtful! Would definitely recommend the stay.

cozy stay at a farm

We checked in very late, at 7 pm, and had no problem to check in. The staff is very kind and nice, we felt very cozy. We had a nice breakfast too. Everything very clean and neat.

WFriendly and helpful staff. My daughter enjoyed the jungle gym and swing....nice touch when travelling with children. The duplex rooms are very comfortable and as described. Loadshedding: a generator is available should the need arise for power. Lovely cooked breakfast. When packing my car, I realised it had been washed and ready for our next adventure... a lovely touch which was very much appreciated. Thank you LoMarie for a wonderful stay.

Heads-up: those who have wondering toddlers or children who cant swim, there is an irrigation dam close to the property which may cause some stress on parents. Although it does create a beautiful environment.
