Location
The whole resort is looking very run down, the outdoor courts and indoor are in a poor state. The food and bar well overpriced. Rooms not particularly clean, seems to be a lack of towels. No usual tea and coffee welcome pack. Staff didn’t seem bothered about anything. Roads filled with huge potholes.

Lovely apartment..
Very nice place to stay... recommended

Lovely little lodge, cozy. And the pool was amazing so warm like getting into a warm bath, the kids would spend all day in there if they could.
A few things in the lodge could be fixed. Just little things like mould on bathroom blind which I'm sure could be easily fixed by just replacing it. And a few other things (beds weren't very comfortable )but nothing that would stop us going back.

We have stayed in the Hotel previously, so we were unsure about the self catering resort, especially after reading some reviews, but we were very happy with our stay. Easy check-in and friendly welcome at reception. Apartment clean, spacious and warm. Staff had kindly switched on the heating in the hallway for our arrival. Beds were comfortable. Shower over bath was lovely and hot with good pressure. Well equipped e.g. Henry Hoover, iron, kitchen crockery, good hairdryer etc. Nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room with friendly staff (the jacuzzi was out of order). Games hall for rainy days. Good, quiet location. The town is only a short drive away with plenty of shops and places to eat. Good value for money. Would be happy to return.
Nothing bad enough to complain about - we enjoyed our stay 👍
Just a suggestion: the Resort sign on the main road should be illuminated. We arrived when it was already dark and could not see the sign.
A few other observations: The Steakhouse was only open at the weekend. We stayed midweek, so were unable to try it out.
The front door was locked on arrival, as expected, but the patio door had been left unlocked.
A few marks on walls and carpets, some had been cleaned and had left patches on the carpet but overall the apartment was clean to a good standard.
Large bags of dirty laundry left right in front of the door on arrival. Could easily be placed to the side awaiting pickup instead of at the door.

Very easy to check in and find the lodge.
Lodge was clean and comfortable.
There was a porch which needed a key which we didn't have. One window was locked shut and again we didn't have a key.

Fabulous place, good location for everything that we wanted to do.
Would have used the Spa facilities but jacuzzi not working.

Nothing
Apartment was dirty inside, carpet full of stains, furniture outdated and needed upholstery, sink shower dirty, dirty smell

Great location spacious bedrooms 1 with on suite great little sauna large kitchen living area

Location was great. Not far from town and the lodge area was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Lots to do nearby for families. Could have spent another week here.
The double bed felt more like a 3/4 bed so rolling over in your sleep is not recommended!

Great location. Goes downhill from there.
The room was old, worn, smelly and in a poor state.
Carpets were stained, marked and worn.
Walls stained and marked.
Kitchen cupboards didn't open/close properly and had peeling coating. Large gaps to dirty underneath area.
Conservatory furniture old, faded and coming apart, could have been dangerous to sit on.
Broken lampshades
Room smelled, I had to buy air fresheners
No Hot & Cold labels on taps, with worn/peeled chrome
Shower rail very loose on wall, I expected it to fall down
Loo roll holder also very loose
Different types of electric heaters with no instructions how to use. Included storage heaters [from the 70's?]
I felt the whole room should have been gutted and updated many years ago

Lovely clean apartment with everything we needed.
Great little conservatory & enjoyed swimming pool.
Stopped serving meals at 8pm, why so early?
Quite a long walk into centre of Aviemore

Nothing, place needs a complete overhaul. The Villa was the same as it was 20yrs ago, except everything so worn, stained, ripped and tatty
Everything. At £140 per night you would expect to be able to sit and enjoy the view, oh no, every seat either had a stain, looked like sweat stains where other had sat over the years, or ripped. Mould in the bathrooms, hairs in the bedding. We have stayed at Dalfaber at least once a year for the past 20yrs, this is the first time we returned home the same night. No staff to contact after 8pm. We checked in at 6.40pm (cairngorm villa no 5) then popped into Aviemore for food, returned, went to make a cuppa and have a seat, when we noticed how bad the seats in the patio, we were going to take a couple of the dining chairs through to use, but every single one was stained. Contacted Nicola and Michael the managers, they were going to check the Villa and call me back, let's just say I'm still waiting 8 days on. Have contacted booking.com and they have emailed the company........ Still waiting for a reply.

The apartment was perfect. But unfortunately it was not clean. Used soap in the bathroom, and the sink and mirror were full of toothpaste. The kitchen floor was filthy, and there seemed to be something like cat litter on the carpet.

Fantastic location. 9 hole golf course free so hubby was very happy.
The chalet didn't look like it had been cleaned. The front entrance way had not been hoovered. There were sets of towels for 2 and there were 3 of us. The fridge had bits of tomato heads in it si hadn't been cleaned. The bin lid was also dirty. Aparr from these things we were very happy.

Tired.

We stayed in a two bed chalet. It was lovely and warm on our arrival. It was also really clean and well equipped.
It was quite tired particularly in the bathroom. Water and wood don’t last well.
The pool changing rooms were dirty and one toilet was out of use hence the other was filthy. The floor was covered in mud, water and ??. There was only one changing room.
3.8
nice location
slightly dated and could do with a refurb
3.8
location was excellent, good access to local attractions
a little run down, but generally ok.
3.8
good location in town and a nice pool for the kids.
our first room / chalet was completely filthy. Definitely had not been cleaned, and because their check in was strictly no earlier than 5pm they couldn’t send a cleaner. we eventually called and paid to upgrade to another property because the standard was so poor.
the restaurant was closed each time due to staffing issues which was also annoying

good location , very clean an tidy everything you need for family , except for the bed situation ,
great pet friendly place. an most of staff were nice enough an helpful especially lad we met on check in ,
The sofa bed was so bad got no sleep the 1st night and 2nd night slept in chair an on floor , as was more comfortable for me and my partner, , no quilt or bedding was provided for the sofa bed only thin sheet , we were not informed we needed to bring this staff said would be brought round but it never came, heating is quite hit an miss took some working out how to use an still went very cold before it came back on

Our second visit. We love coming here. The chalet is perfect for us. The pool was fun.
Some of the decor is looking tired. The sofa bed mattress is rather uncomfortable.
3.8
Chalets provided everything we needed. swimming pool was lovely.
Was not as clean as it should have been and smelled of dogs.
Check in was chaotic. Told check in would be 5pm - they stuck rigidly to this. We arrived at 4.50pm and had to wait 10 minutes . As others had been told to come back at 5pm for check in this then resulted in a queue of people all waiting at same time. Staff then appeared harassed.

Good access to Speyside way. Nice to have a sauna and steam
Confusing payment confirmation, I paid via bookings and got their receipt and checked with reception when I checked out who said I was paid up. I then got a further receipt from the hotel group a few days after check out which made it seem like I had paid twice, apparently this is standard. Not easy to clarify this as the hotel itself doesn't process payment so spoke to an external admin team. I will check my credit card statement when it arrives as two payment receipts is unclear, unnecessary and confusing.

The lodge we stayed at was situated in a beautiful area which was very quiet and relaxing.
The inside of the lodge was just right for us, and had a very cosy feel - a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
Unfortunately our mattress wasn't the best in terms of comfort. My partner had a dip in the middle of the mattress on his side which meant he didn't get the best night's rest, however I believe we were just unlucky, and it didn't ruin our overall stay at all.
The free WiFi was unfortunately quite weak, and I had to rely on my own mobile data to use as a personal hot-spot in order to use our devices. I did expect the WiFi to be weak however just because of the location, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for us.

Breakfast not applicable: location was ideal
We are timeshare owners at this resort and have stayed in these lodges previously. Our Morlich lodge was disappointing in that there was barely any covering left on any of the dining chairs. There was pieces of children’s toys in the sofa, the tiles on the top half of the en suite bathroom wall were filthy and on the last day my husband cut his toe on a broken tile in said bathroom. The chalet we’d also booked for other family members was also a let down with various lights not working and also not the cleanest. It’s really disappointing as we suggested this as our base for my sons 30th birthday celebrations but would be reluctant to use booking.com in the future due to the condition of the units. Although it was an ok price it still wasn’t cheap for a 3 night getaway especially with the state of the accommodation.

clean and spacious
a little dated, not really a problem though
3.8
the location and they are nice apartments with lovely views and the centre is a really good facility to have for swimming and eating etc.
it’s far too dated. it needs some new upholstery and some cleaning up. the restaurant could be great but there was no beer, no ice and a shortage of staff. the pool is great but needed and clean and not having towels is ridiculous. one woman had to actually use other peoples dirty towels to dry her kids off after waiting over an hour for towels to be delivered. otherwise we do love the pool at this resort. I just think there’s so much potential and it’s a shame there is no investment in the resort.
3.8
location and nice open spaces to walk
carpets/ chairs desperately need to be replaced.
