Sharon is a lovely host and Grockle Nook is a perfect holiday accommodation for families. It is exceptionally clean, very comfortable and it was spacious enough for the 4 of us. It felt like home from the very first moment of our arrival. Its location is great as there are so many things to see and do in that area, the town centre is accessible by foot, and the Bus 12 is very convenient if you would like to go to Paignton or Torquay.

The Kitchen/diner was fully equipped
The apartment was a descent size however the leather sofa was too large and very badly scratched to the point the leather was coming off. The Bed, wooden slates were broken, and the mattress had started to slip through my husband had to sleep on the bottom bunk bed the first night till I could speak to Sharon, who was upmost apologetic and had no idea and arranged a new base to be delivered while we were out, which she did and also offered a £50.00 re-imbursement for the inconvenience, which we are still awaiting.

A very well equipped apartment and located well for access to the harbour, local shop and bus stop. Sharon ensured we had a comfortable stay and we were left an extensive Welcome pack. Very good value for money.
It wasn't a problem for us but the road outside the apartment is reached via a steep hill which may be unsuitable for some.

.The area was lovely, with loads to do! The housing was lovely and just right for what was needed. The fish and chips are always a win. And the pasties from Brixham were amazing! Apart from the thieving seagulls... There's no complaints from us.
Seagulls.. Would also warn those who enjoy walking, the hills are big.

Grockle Nook was a lovely place to stay, and a fantastic base for our wider adventures in the Torbay area.
The main bed was soft and comfy and the kitchen was more than big enough and equipped enough to cook meals for breakfast and the evening.
The bus stop was just a short walk down the hill and would take you straight into Brixham in one direction and right up to Paignton and Torquay in the other.
We couldn't recommend staying here enough!

What an absolute find! Great location, lovely host and the apartment was spotless. Bed very comfortable and there was a great "Welcome" Pack complete with milk, bread, sweets, wine and even a proper cream tea - very nice after a long drive. The location is good - approximately 20 minutes walk into Brixham and the apartment also has a small garden to sit in, although the weather was not good enough for us to do so.
There are some excellent places to visit nearby - Greenway (Agatha Christie's house) is lovely, run by the National Trust, but definitely worth a visit.
Cannot recommend this apartment enough.
Nothing - the weather was a bit hit and miss, but it didn't stop us from doing anything we wanted.

Kitchen/dining area good.
Layout of lounge not good with bed in the middle of the room. Too cramped with bunk beds in room too.

The apartment was clean and welcoming. It is clear whoever keeps it in order wants it to be how they would like to find it.
Having to leave!!

Good apartment, need to rewrite description as it is a studio. Television in wrong place, needs to be on wall across from sofa so all can see

Location on Lindthorpe Way is excellent for exploring Brixham. Can walk to the harbour easily - the scenic way is to turn right from the apartment, up past Battery Park then down the cliff roads. Battery Park is nice as the sun goes down on a calm evening and we spotted seals from there. The other way is to turn left down Lindthorpe Way then left onto New Road. There is only one apartment so the parking area is all yours, you do not have to park expecting more cars to arrive; there will be no other vehicles. Just bear in mind that Grockle Nook is on a very steep part of the road if you have any disabilities. We like walking so everything great for us. Sharon, the owner, provides so many extras - tea, coffee, milk, bread, wine, cream tea, biscuits, sweets - the list goes on and on! You will never find so many extras in a holiday apartment.
Not complaining but maybe better ventilation in the bathroom. There is an extract fan but it did not appear to be working.

The most quiet, well equipped place we have ever stayed. All needs catered for. Sharon on hand if required. Private parking.
On a steep hill. As most of Brixham is. Far too many pluses for this property for it to be a negative. Will highly recommend to friends and family.

This is the best-equipped small apartment we have ever stayed in and the extra touches (food supplies and wine, bathrobes and slippers) were very thoughtful. The owner lives in the house adjacent and was very kind and helpful.
The bedroom has a bunk bed in it which is not shown in the photos and it takes up a lot of space as well as changing the ambience. The room has a stale smell which we couldn’t shift by leaving doors and windows open
