About this apartment rental
The 3 rules of real estate are, “Location, location, location”. Welcome to our traveler’s oasis located in the heart of St. Louis’ Historic Shaw Neighborhood. We’ve spared no expense in providing our guests with premium accommodations that include all of the conveniences of modern living, without neglecting the charm and elegance of our neighborhood’s historic past. Come, be our guest, enjoy this private dwelling alone or with up to two companions.
PLEASE NOTE: Our home is for up to 3-guests ONLY, and we have a NO PARTY and NO INTERIOR SMOKING policy for the home. Also due to the new imposed social distancing laws currently in St. Louis, only a maximum of 3-guests are allowed. NO VISITORS ARE ALLOWED. Our home is prepared to accommodate ONLY the guests on the reservation. Each additional unauthorized guest will accrue a $100 fine and will be considered trespassing, even if “just dropping by”. If your family and friends live locally, go to their residences for visitation. NO PARTIES, GATHERINGS, or EVENTS!!!
These policies are STRICTLY enforced for your safety and that of our home. If any of these policies are violated, this will be grounds for immediate eviction without payment refund.
The Space
Your 1,100 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2nd Flr apartment is located in a duplex comprised of one additional 1st Flr residential apartment. Your apartment features a cozy layout with tall ceilings, modern decor, stainless steel appliances, and a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Also for your safety, the apartment is equipped with an active Monitored Security System for your safety and that of our home. The Security System also includes cameras at each entrance into the home.
FREE Off-Street Parking is provided directly behind the building for 1-car only. Ample free public street parking is also available in front of the building (just be mindful of the posted public street cleaning signs when parking out front). The apartment has a dedicated office space for business travelers. Also, the kitchen has a new gas range, and all the amenities needed to have a stay-cation while cooking at home.
This amazing property is close to EVERYTHING the city has to offer. Anchored by the nation's oldest botanical garden, this historic Shaw Neighborhood is dotted with a wide array of local shops, cafes and international restaurants. The property is 3-block walking distance to the internationally acclaimed Tower Grove Park. Also the property is a 3-minute Uber ride to the Missouri Botanical Garden. Only 5-10 minute Uber ride to city attractions such as the Arch, Soulard, the Hill, Forest Park, Zoo, Museums, St. Louis University and Washington University.
As shown, the apartment is equipped with 3-flat screen Smart TVs with basic cable and use of our FREE Netflix Streaming Service while you lodge with us.
It also includes central air-conditioning, Wi-Fi wireless internet, complete kitchen essentials, 1-set of bedding for each bed, and 4-sets of towels and protected bed mattresses.
No excessively loud noise or music during your stay, that may disturb our immediate neighbors.
The apartment has not been "child-proofed". Therefore, if you are traveling with a child, you may be required to sign a waiver.
A mandatory weekly cleaning fee of $55 will be charged for guests who stay beyond seven (7) calendar days, or six (6) consecutive nights, in an effort to insure the apartment continues to meet our highest standards of quality and comfort. The housekeeping service will enter the home during this period(s) to perform necessary cleaning services. This fee will be Invoiced separately through AirBnB after your extended stay booking is confirmed. And the fee must pre-paid through VRBO prior to your scheduled Checkin date.
If there is damage to any of the appliances, furniture, and overall home decor during you stay, there will be a fee assessed to repair and/or replace all items damaged at their full replacement cost.
If there is evidence of smoking in the home, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $150 assessed to provide smoke removal services from the home.
If the carpets and area rugs are stained or damaged during your stay, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $300 assessed to provide carpet cleaning services.

We had a great time staying in the Shaw neighborhood. Would definitely recommend walking to the Gallery Bar on Thurman for pizza and Ices for ice cream. Area felt very safe and welcoming

In heart of Shaw/Tower Grove Park neighborhood, this apartment provided a quiet, comfortable place for my recent stay in St. Louis. The designated office area was convenient for work; local eateries within walking distance; pleasant neighborhood for strolling. The owner was very attentive - checked in multiple times to see if I had any needs or questions. Highly recommend.

Our stay was overnight which was much too short! We found so many fun restaurants and shops to try, but not enough time. The apartment was lovely and had all we needed and more. We will return

The house was very cozy, nice, and looked just like the pictures. My girls enjoyed their room and the spacious kitchen. It was exactly what we needed. The landlord was very helpful and gave us immediate help with the questions we had. Everything was great and would definitely stay there again.

My sister and brother-in-law and I climbed the steep stairs to the 2nd floor and immediately fell in love with the high ceilings and gorgeous woodwork and pocketdoors and floors.
Exceptionally clean, gorgeously placed plants and wall decorations. It couldn’t have been done better and the decos were far superior to wall hangings in many fancy hotel rooms.
Kevie is the host with the most. I texted him 3x and each time, he responded.
If you have climbing issues, perhaps this is not a good fit. But for all others, awesome!!!!

Great visit to St Louis with wife and daughter - daily visits to zoo, city museum, etc followed by relaxing stays here each night. Comfortable, homey - everything as described. Looking forward to staying again on a future visit!

There was lots of room and it was very clean. We were attending a concert at the Dome and loved how close it was to so many things. Felt very safe even though it was so close to downtown. Lots of people walking in the neighborhood.

My son and I enjoyed our short stay in the Shaw neighborhood. The property was clean and everything was as promised. We were a short Uber ride from downtown, and we also enjoyed the nearby park.

Pros-We stayed here one night, and it was in a convenient location and was comfy.
Cons- Since we had not received a check-in code on the day we were arriving, I contacted the host and was told at 1 pm that we couldn’t check in at 3 (the stated check-in time) and that it would be “4:30-5:30” so the cleaner could get the place ready. I asked if we could have extra time the next day and he said no, and that we wouldn’t be getting a discount. This was not stated with an apology, and we were shocked after having received emails and a video of all their rules that the host doesn’t think rules apply to them.
We were told around 3:30 that the place was ready, but we be using VRBO anymore- there is no reason a place shouldn’t respect their renters, or at the very least change their check-in time so people can plan accordingly, and (!) apologize for not having the place ready on time. A simple apology and not acting like you’re a robot would go a long way.

Absolute perfect location for gardening enthusiasts! Easy walk to the botanical garden, through the lovely Shaw district. We felt very safe walking the neighborhood, even late in the evening. The parking behind the house is tight, as others have mentioned, but once we parked, we walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the home gardens in the neighborhood. Highly recommend the Chihuly Nights experience.

What a great location if you are interested in visiting the Missouri Botanical Gardens; it's literally just a few blocks away. Plus Tower Park is within walking distance, a couple of blocks, and we could easily get to the places we like to hang when in St.Louis: Venice Cafe, Cherokee St., local restaurants, the Hill, and of course, the Botanical Gardens.
Kevie was great at problem solving the couple issues we had with the TV. Was just a tech problem that could have happened anywhere. No big deal.
I never did get the hang of the alarm system, I'm just not used to dealing with those systems.
The place was immaculate and had everything we needed.
There are stairs to walk up to get to apartment, but that was a known element. There is parking behind the house, it's pretty tight quarters back there, but again, I don't live in an urban scene, so it's really nothing unusual.

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was lovely and exactly as advertised. Was perfect for our family of three with plenty of space. Off-street parking was easy and convenient. The neighborhood is great — easy walk to Fiddlehead Fern for coffee in the morning or to explore Tower Grove Park and/or the Botanical Gardens. Can’t beat the location—it is a quick drive to downtown, the Arch, City Museum, Forest Park, the Hill, and (of course) Ted Drewes! Wish we had more time to explore the great restaurants on S. Grand. Kevie and Rebecca were very attentive hosts and were responsive to any questions we had. Thank you for a great vacation back to my (former) home town!

It’s a great property centrally located to many tourist destinations in the city. The Shaw neighborhood is beautiful and we wish we had a reason to move there permanently.
Our hosts were very quick with responding to us and making sure we were comfortable.
I highly recommend booking here(just don’t choose dates when we want to go back🤣).

We really enjoyed our stay, the home was very clean and cozy and the neighborhood had wonderful breakfast spot called SweetArt, and Fancy’s and Plain ice cream parlor just a block away was great as well. Thank you Kevin and Rebecca for making you home so inviting on my first St. Louis trip.

Great stay in a beautiful part of St Louis. The apartment was beautiful and wonderfully clean. Very easy access to the botanic gardens, which are a must see and a few nice neighborhood bars and restaurants too.
Hosts were very responsive to questions. Would like to have access to spare blankets for use in the living space, while you watch a movie or tv, or sit there to read. Also think the check in time needs clarification on the ad. I do appreciate that the hosts were able to get us in shortly after 3 but it does seem guests should be prepared for entry as late as 4:30-5:30. Personally, I’d encourage the hosts to move check out time earlier in order to guarantee 3pm check ins but they clearly have a successful business so maybe this works for more people.

We found everything exactly as described. We are a couple of nature nerds so we really enjoyed being just 3 blocks from Tower Grove Park and spent much of our time exploring the park.

We stayed one night in this property and were impressed with how well appointed it was and how very CLEAN it was. The kitchen was stocked with waters and coffee. The bathroom included necessary toiletries. Communication with the owners was comprehensive regarding check-in and out. Would definitely recommend.

The perfect STL place to stay
This is a sweet property in a quiet STL neighborhood of kind people who look out for one another. The house itself was lovely and I slept so well, the first morning I thought I was at home. Staying in this house, in this neighborhood, was one of the highlights of our trip.
