Phenomenal hotel. Will come here often

Lovely, renovated building with a Victorian/French theme. We stayed 1 night. The king bed was comfortable. The room was elegant showcasing beautiful woodwork and relaxing furniture from the era. Host was very accommodating. Would stay again.

I booked this hotel as a surprise to my husband for our anniversary and was super excited by the online listing. Looked nice in pics and was right around the corner from the Fox. We arrived and were greeted by a very nice man who got us checked in quickly.
First impressions were it was nice, with cool architecture, clearly a renovated early 1900s house. We were directed to the top (3rd) floor then learned there is no elevator. Not a big deal for us but for an older person I could see it as an issue.
Now here’s where it gets interesting. Trip from 1st to 2nd floor, no big deal. Trip from 2nd to 3rd I was concerned because THE STAIRS MOVED! And not just a little, I felt like I was on a swaybridge. Very disconcerting.
We then got to our room to discover it was nothing like the listing online and I could tell my husband was not happy but trying to be polite because it was a gift.
We left for dinner and this time I let him go down the stairs first and watched the them literally bow under his feet as he walked down. On the way to dinner he finally divulged his uneasiness and I immediately booked a different hotel. We later went back, got our things, and left the keys without even spending the night.
Honestly they are advertising themselves as a hotel but this is a Bed and Breakfast at best. Furthermore we expected boutique, not antique. Old beds, incomplete renovation work and those stairs are a lawsuit waiting to happen

This was such a cute place to stay while in St Louis. We really enjoyed our stay.

Only two blocks from performing arts and restaurants!

Real cool place in very artsy area with lots of music places.

Loved this place! Walking distance to the Fox . Decorated beautifully and bed was very comfortable! Would love to stay again! We stayed in room 2. We left my husbands air pods and they were kind enough to search room and get them back to us …thank you!

Wonderful stay. Loved the place. This will be our new “go to” when visiting St Louis.

This was a horrible experience - in fact my wife and I did not complete our stay here. First of all, my wife has a disability and the only entrance to the facility has at least 7 stairs to the main door. This was not clearly stated in the Expedia description of this facility nor on the facility's website. To top it off, the host was extremely rude and indicated that I blamed him for this issue. He and his partner were very defensive, brazen and rude. They even indicated that they did not want my wife and I to stay at their facility, so we didn't even complete the check-in process. I will be pursuing Expedia for a complete refund (I did have trip insurance for this reservation). This was one of the most horrendous and bizarre hotel experiences I have encountered. Prospective renters please take note!

A very comfortable room. The building is a uniquely renovated gem. It was a little tough to carry out suitcases up to the third floor.

The pictures online do not do justice to this beautiful gem. My room was amazing. The decor was spot on, the bed was heavenly, and shower was hot….i couldn’t ask for more.

My stay was amazing!! The room was absolutely beautiful & the bed was SOOOOO comfy! We will be stating again when we have an event to go to downtown.

Our room (#2) was fabulous. Very clean and quiet. Perfect location to enjoy a show at the Fox Theatre.

Super cool restoration of this old beauty...and owner was very polite.

This is a beautiful property for one who enjoys Victorian restoration. The room and public areas are tastefully decorated. I felt I was spending the night in 1885. The Grand Center Inn is strategically located in the arts district. While I was in St. Louis on business, I would definitely return to stay here after attending a play or a concert at one of the nearby venues.
Additionally to tasteful surroundings the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is very attentive to guests' needs as well.

This was such a great property! By far the best shower I’ve ever had traveling. A 1888 mansion, who could ask for more? So quaint, the owner was so nice and super convenient to get to the Fox. If I am ever in that area again, I will stay here!!
4.6
Very quaint historic building. Huge rooms and very comfortable. Will stay here again our next trip to the area.

Charming house with a lot of character. We wished there were two nights to stay but one night was booked, which we understand why. We will be back!

We came to town for a show at the Fox Theater. We wanted to stay near enough that we wouldnt have to qorry about parking for the show. The Inn is close enough to walk & very well lit route back after the show too! The Inn is lovely! I believe its a old building that has been restored. The manager was pleasant, and our room was clean & quiet. If I had to point out a negative it would be that our room was on the third floor so lots of stairs. We did know ahead of time that there was no elevator but didnt know the room we chose was on the third floor. :) Overall it was a very nice placw & I would happily book it again!

This is a unique property. So close to the Fox.

Very quiet, neat area. Staff stays out of the way but are accessible if needed.

No frills and was the perfect room to get in a pinch when my other reservation at another hotel fell through. Nice and quiet
4.6
This is not a hotel, but a guest house. No night staff. Doors lock at night. Limited check in times that are not clearly communicated. We arrived too late for check in and the doors were locked. No answer when we tried to call. We had to get a different hotel. Then the company refused to refund us. There is no signage on the building and you park on an unlit street. It does not appear safe.

What a lovely historic Inn. The Inn is in the middle of the arts area of St. Louis: theatre, street art, and music venues especially jazz. The restaurants in the neighborhood are decent or outstanding. We particularly enjoyed Turn. It is black owned and he is the chef extraordinaire.
4.6
It seems that the property has great history. You can feel it. The property is well kept.

It was wonderful! Very relaxing and quiet.
