Location was great. we stored our skis at the mountain which made walking back and forth easy.
Property does need some work/updating. Doorknob missing on upstairs bedroom door. 1st floor bathroom doorknob was about to fall off but we fixed that.
Bring everything you might need. 1st place we’ve ever stayed that had no games, puzzles, etc. No miscellaneous leftovers from previous guests like foil, plastic wrap, sugar, salt, pepper, etc.
Overall it was satisfactory and property management group was great to work with and very responsive.

The property was outdated which is not a big issue, but the internet did not work and there were exposed wores everywhere. Also, the beds were not made, we had to make our own beds. The cleanliness was questionable as we had trash from the lrevious rental left over and we were left responsible to unload the dishwasher and put everything away from the previous stay.

We loved how close the home was to the slopes! It seems like it had been updated recently and was very clean and well kept! We will definitely stay here again in the future!

It was walking distance to the ski resort but the condo is very old and full of dust. Everybody got sick needs to be renovated.

On the plus side, the kitchen was well-equipped & worked out great for Thanksgiving food prep & other large family meals. Very convenient location for long & short hikes & a day trip to Asheville.
On the negative side, the property was neither dusted nor vacuumed when we arrived after 4 pm (although clean sheets were on & clean towels were out). Internet needed to be reset & directions to do so & name of the network were faulty. Vacasa folks came next day & took care of vacuuming/dusting.
The gas logs made a cozy great room gathering place.

Like all the other reviews state, this property needs UPDATING. 3/4 of the ceiling lights in the living room were out, as well as the light in the main bathroom. Maintenance was unable to fix them during our stay. I’d cut them some slack but there are reviews from October with guests complaining about the same thing. ALL of the rooms smelled of smoke, and it was so unbearable that we had to go to the grocery store to buy candles and wall plug-ins. The upstairs needs a ton of updating — the rooms and bathrooms were dingy, the sheets were old and tattered, and you’d think after spending A LOT of money you’d get some fresh linens. The location was great so if none of this bothers you for the price, go for it. As a lifelong user OTHER booking services I was looking forward to using Vrbo and I had high hopes for Vacasa but I won’t be using either service again; I’ve never had an issue with those OTHER booking services—it was a mistake to give you guys a shot.

The space is used wisely, the home is so open, fireplace is cozy. Extremely close to the slopes, only about a two minute drive. The customer service was excellent as well.

We had a great time. It was exactly as described. My grown children and I were able to take our family dogs. There are not many places that allow more than two pets and this place was welcoming. It was well kept and no unpleasant odors due to being pet friendly. We are planning to make this a yearly destination for our family

We had high hopes for this condo, given our last VRBO in a Elizabethton cabin was awesome! But from the moment we arrived we were very disappointed. It was so dark and gloomy, 3 out of 4 lights in the living room ceiling were out, as well as 2 out of 5 lights in the kitchen ceiling. More lights bulbs were out throughout the unit, which was a complaint as far back as last December!!!! Maybe they leave the bad bulbs because the unit is so junky and trashy! The bedding is old and tacky(read 70's ugly) and there were no blankets on the beds besides the gross bedspreads. There were broken slats on closet doors, filthy windows, dirty fridge door(obvious leftover food stain), really dirty carpet, and shades that were bent, just to name some of the issues. This doesn't even address the poor mattresses and pillows, very uncomfortable! The upstairs king bed frame mentioned 9-12 months ago with a queen mattress has still not been upgraded(supposedly the owner was looking for a king mattress!!). This place is a dump, smells like mildew and is not even remotely clean! Do Not Stay Here!!!! Unless you are a college kid and don't care.

We had high hopes for this condo, given our last VRBO in a Elizabethton cabin was awesome! But from the moment we arrived we were very disappointed. It was so dark and gloomy, 3 out of 4 lights in the living room ceiling were out, as well as 2 out of 5 lights in the kitchen ceiling. More lights bulbs were out throughout the unit, which was a complaint as far back as last December!!!! Maybe they leave the bad bulbs because the unit is so junky and trashy! The bedding is old and tacky(read 70's ugly) and there were no blankets on the beds besides the gross bedspreads. There were broken slats on closet doors, filthy windows, dirty fridge door(obvious leftover food stain), really dirty carpet, and shades that were bent, just to name some of the issues. Overall this was a great place to stay. The description was very accurate. The location is quiet and in a nice area. Sinks in each bedroom are nice when having to share a bathroom. Plenty of space for multiple people.

Snowboarding Trip to Sugar Mountain
My family and I booked another unit (E-20) in the same condos. The central heating was out in that unit and after the Vacasa local on call maintenance person attempted to fix it, we were promptly moved to C-12.
The unit beside us had clearly ignored the 2 car per unit rule and there was no parking anywhere near C-12 . We were forced to park much further down in front of the original unit that we had be moved from. The steps up to the unit were COVERED in several inches of ice, which made it very difficult and scary for my elderly parents to enter to unit. It would be nice if there was some tread on the steps or if during periods of incliment weather, Vacasa local representatives could place salt on the entry ways.
I agree with the other review that complained about the lack of light bulbs. There was absolutely NO LIGHT in the mudroom/entryway and out of 11 lights in the living room, 6 were burnt out. The queen bed on the King frame upstairs was also a bit silly but we used the extra pillows to block the empty space so it wasn't big deal for us.
Other than these minor inconveniences we really enjoyed our stay. The layout worked perfectly for our family. We stay in privately ownes rental properties nearly monthly and we appreciated the items stocked in the kitchen, the abundance of extra blankets and pillows, and the labels on the light switches. I also appreciated the extremely kind and knowledgeable maintenance person, Michael. We needed assistance both at check-in with the first unit and on day two of our stay with the gas logs, both times Michael responded very quickly.
The best part of this specific unit is the view from the deck. It looks out over the golf course pond, with Hawksbill Mountain centered perfectly in the background. Absolutely Stunning!!! We would definitely book again.

Sugar Race Weekend
Everything was good except many of the lights didn’t work including the outside light on the steps.

Upon arrival we noticed half of the lights in the kitchen and living room are out. Two bulbs are dangling from a cord as well. Half the bulbs were also out in the upstairs vanity.
Also, if you’ve always wanted to sleep on a full mattress on a King bed frame now’s your chance. Seriously, why would anyone do that? We elected not to use the bed as we had previously planned out of fear of someone bumping their shin or breaking/damaging the frame.
Pictures looked great and the location didn’t disappoint, but that’s the kindest thing o can say.

Great location, poor accommodations
We were thrilled with the proximity of the house to the snow tubing and ice skating activities. We walked to them both since parking is scarce.
Sadly, that’s the best thing I can say. Upon checking in we noticed two ceiling light bulbs dangling from the ceiling. We also noticed that barely half of the lights on the ceiling would even turn on. Basically, they haven’t changed their bulbs. They have also neglected to change the bulbs in the upstairs bathroom.
Perhaps even more disturbing was that the upstairs full bed was placed on a frame for a queen or king bed. So another foot or two of a bed frame sticks out making it dangerous to use or risk breaking if you enter on that side.
We had high hopes for our stay. The fireplace and open living room to kitchen were a big draw, but because the place isn’t being maintained we won’t be back until these items are addressed.

Excellent retreat for a larger group!
We loved the open living area, sinks in the downstairs bedrooms, beautiful view off the back porch and the accessibility to area attractions. We will be back!
