INDOOR GATHERING SPACE
The Stone's Beach House combines the classic charm of the early 1900s with a contemporary touch of today. From the turn of the antique doorknobs to the modern new age furnishings, the character of this house is absolutely a one of a kind. As you enter into the grand open concept main level, you enjoy the large living space, dining room with farm style table and fully stocked kitchen. The family area offers comfortable seating, a smart TV as well as a beautiful view of the gardens and dunes out of the north side of the house through full length sliding glass doors. Upstairs offers another family space with smart TV, sectional sofa, additional couch seating and classic Eames style chair and ottoman. The wood burning fireplace sets the tone for cool fall nights and cold winter days. The entire home design and decor encourages a sense of peace and harmony throughout.

OUTDOOR GATHERING SPACE
For pure tranquility pull up a seat under the pergola surrounded by beautifully designed gardens and potted plants. The second floor screened-in porch is perfect for those relaxing evenings enjoying the magnificent lake breeze.

The house was beautiful & great location. The beach access on the road has a deck/pad for easy wagon rolling. Backyard access was great for kids & walks out to see the sunset. Ceiling fans were great to keep the house cool & we loved the screened in area upstairs. Easy drive to zoo & local restaurants. Plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, & an umbrella. We had a great time & would definitely come back!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Location was absolutely perfect right next to the beach. Would definitely go back!

This house is properly prepared as a rental home. It was glaringly obvious that this house belonged to someone else and we were imposing. There are pictures of the family EVERYWHERE (i.e., like 50-70 pictures). I have never experienced such inconsiderateness from a rental home. The owner has notes/instructions EVERYWHERE. They are clearly worried about guests breaking or ruining their stuff. One other review mentioned that the property was "stocked". It's not stocked for guests. It's full of the owners belongings. This felt dirty and unsanitary. Dirty sponge in the sink, dirty kitchen towels, dirty toothbrush holders, dirty comforters in what is obviously the teenage children's bedrooms, dirty sheets for the pull out sofa. Lastly, we contacted the property manager because a member of our family contracted COVID three days before our stay. They made us hold our reservation and never even responded to my email request to move the reservation. So, a member of my family had bad Covid symptoms while staying in the home. Obviously, the money was more important than the cleanliness of the home.

Beautiful Beach Home!

We have stayed at multiple properties in Michigan City over the years and this house was one of our favorites! The path to the beach was a short walk and we loved grilling on the patio at the end of the day or sitting in the screen porch. The house was stocked with almost everything you could think of and you can tell the owners really put alot of thought in providing their guests with the best stay possible. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

We had a wonderful time at this home and enjoyed the easy, (but hot, don't forget your shoes!) private beach access the most! We had everything we needed including kitchen spices and Ziplocs, beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys. Don't forget your beach towels. Grilled out, brought wood for the firepit and met the kind owner who lives next door. Loved the extra living room upstairs for kids movies or could've used the separate deck upstairs (with perfect extra mini fridge) if needing to be quiet for naptimes, etc. Loved this special getaway and will definitely be back.

House was perfect for our group of adults, small kids and teenager. Clean and comfortable with lots of extra little touches that made it easy to unpack and immediately feel at home. So close to the beach/lake and great use of space in the house. Close to playgrounds and short drive to the dunes. Thanks for a great family trip!

This is an absolutely beautiful house with easy access to the Lake Michigan beach! My family and I had the most wonderful time and enjoyed all the little amenities this house had to offer. We mostly loved the proximity to the beach. Clean, comfortable house. We'd come back for sure!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house that we stayed in (Stones Throw) was amazing! The house was well taken care of, very clean and a perfect location! The only issue is the Beachwalk Vacation Rentals has been extremely difficult to get into contact with. Prior to our stay I had a few questions, it took me calling multiple times and emailing to finally get a response. In addition I am going on three weeks now and still have not received my security deposit back (and we had zero damage). I’ve called four times and still nothing. Very frustrating.
