Time to move away from brown bread and over to wholemeal.

Breakfast was great and hot.
If weather not good, difficult to get out to eat having a takeaway is great, would have been nicer if offered cutlery and plate but never mind we managed, may be we should have asked.

Great location, few minutes walk to Ryde.
A little dated.

Well located hotel with easygoing hosts. Plenty of eating/shopping options within walking distance. Stayed in the garden studio which was spacious and light with a good mattress making for a good night's sleep. House cat very friendly.
Lousy light in the bathroom - picky, I know.

Good location and great breakfast. Property is dated a homage to 80's decor including Artex and swirly carpets. Beds too soft for my liking but the property is clean bright and airy and staff are attentive

The receptionist allowed me to practise my recorder in the lounge - twice!
David's homemade marmalade. Plus, he gave my toast a double toast to make it crispy! Thanks.
Tv difficult to operate in 12. One bedside light not working in 14. Broken fan heater in shared bathroom. Little details and receptionist always quick to solve. No problems.

There was parking, good location with lots to do in the area, Dave in the breakfast room was lovely and approachable, average breakfast. Bed was made every day and toiletries refreshed everyday.
We didn't get the room that was advertised. Not a very comfortable bed, could feel the springs. The room was extremely small with no central heating. We measured the room, it was about 9x9ft. The day we came it was about 4°c outside and our room just had a small convector heater. We then told reception and they got us an oil heater instead. Never seen a hotel without central heating. The bathroom was very cold due to this, and there was no way to take the portable heater to the bathroom.
The shower was abysmal, EXTREMELY slow water pressure. Bearly can wash your face as the flow and pressure is so little. The water thermostat was uncontrollable. Was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Couldn't find the medium as the control was so bad. We also ran out of hot water one morning around 10am. Bedroom had condensation overnight.
