Absolute 5/5 for highland getaway.
The room was fantastic, comfy, fresh smelling bedding, super cosy and clean.
Massive shout out to Kate who went above and beyond helping me with my blistered feet. Carried my bags to the room, got me dressings and helped me clean up my feet. She was also super friendly and funny, felt like home.
The food was outstanding for breakfast and dinner. Again amazing service. Can’t wait to go back (minus the sore feet)

The location was key because the hotel is on the banks of the river Leven . The room was clean and tidy and well laid out as was the bathroom. Additionally, the staff were very friendly indeed making our stay all the better .
Nothing to fault really

location and very friendly and helpful staff
3.0
Staff and shower.
By far the most expensive accommodation on our WHW walk. Unfortunately not living up to the 145 pounds for a double.
Staff was friendly and checkin was possible at two.
Small room with an even smaller bed (140cm), windows going out to the main street. Towels smelled of cigarette smoke. Not highly rated.

Scottish breakfast was served, the food was tasty, the best porridge we had in Scotland :) The waitress at breakfast was very nice and helpful. The beds were average but comfortable.
There is no reception in the hotel. When we arrived, we didn't know where to check in at all. Finally, we went down to the restaurant, where we had to stand at the bar for a long time until the barmaid found time for us and accommodated us. The bathroom looked hideous and had no storage spaces and towel racks and only a limited amount of hot water - there was no hot water left for my husband.

Everything! The staff were very friendly. The room was bright, modern, exceptionally clean, and the shower! That shower was probably the best I've ever experienced! Also, it's not often the tray with the tea/coffee, etc, also have wine glasses and a corkscrew! A very thoughtful touch.
The breakfast was fantastic. We didn't eat our evening meal in the bar, but the food we saw being served looked lovely.
We would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the area.
It's in the centre of the village and there's a shop across the road and another pub along the main street a bit. Plus, there's a scenic walk and museum in the area.
There's nothing negative I can say about this hotel.

Premium king size room was very spacious and was in a fabulous location with great views. A very well-appointed room which was spotless. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.
Not to do with the room, but my evening meal in the pub was very poor value-for-money. This spoiled our overall experience a bit, unfortunately.

Large comfortable room. Female staff where welcoming & friendly
Food was awful. My beer battered fish & chips was obviously a bought frozen one & very salty. Very overpriced if your using frozen food. The sausages for breakfast were very cheap & nasty.

There are few places where everything you find in the room from electrical outlets (five or six doubles!) To door stops amazes you by high quality build and superb attention to detail (eg USB charge points).
Post-Covid (and post-Brexit?) staffing problems meant we could not eat in the scenic balcony.
