Enjoyed the outdoor space especially with the games the host provided

This is a wonderful home filled with history with a great location on Lake Mille Lac! Beautiful property with greenery and flowers, perfect for a stroll and spending time with loved ones. Highly recommended for larger families/ group of friends. Great accommodations and very clean space! Barbara and David were very responsive to questions and provided great recommendations. Perfect dock to fish from and get the paddles boards out on the water. We would definitely book and stay again!

There is always that bit of doubt that a listing is too good to be true. This listing was everything it looked like and more!
It easily accommodated our extended family of 10. The grounds and beach views are stunning! We found space all over the house to spread out. Dave and Barb were gracious attentive hosts! Many memories were made that we will revisit for years to come!!
And the family vote is we should return next year.

By far, the best experience I’ve ever had. The pictures is exactly to how amazing the view is in real time. The hosts provided a complimentary bottle of wine. The kitchen had everything and more to cook meals. I cannot think of one negative thing about the stay overall. I’ve never written a review for my stays, however, this one is an 11 on a scale of 1 to10."

Home and property were lovely. I unfortunately did not get to personally meet Dave and Barbara, but my friend that met them at the home to check in told us all how absolutely great they both were and so friendly. Most of our group traveled from Florida so the cold weather was such a nice treat as we all left 90+ temps. Home was large enough to accommodate 8 women full time, only draw back was we could have used more bathrooms lol, apparently we all take a long time to get ready. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

We all had the best time! The hosts were very nice and helpful, and the home was just like the pictures! The outdoor space and landscaping were absolutely beautiful!

The house and gardens provided our entire family with a very special vacation. The view of the lake gave us inspiration as we started our days on Mille Lac Lake. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance imaginable with plenty of room for multiple cooks in the kitchen. The stairs to the primary suite with the “ultimate” bathroom could be a challenge for some. It would be difficult to book a more beautiful property.

The property is amazing! We had 9 people ranging in age from 15-75. Teenage boys slept on air mattresses in carriage house (with bathroom) which allowed more space for the adults in main house. House grounds are beautiful and they have several outdoor games/activities good for all ages. Grocery store is 15 mins away and there is literally every kitchen item you would need or want. Not much around in terms of shops or restaurants but our plan was always to cook meals in the house. Randy’s rentals nearby to rent pontoon/jet skis. Owners were readily accessible and seemed truly invested in making it a great vacation experience for our family. Many thanks!

To say we enjoyed our time at Stone House is an understatement! Our family made good use of the dock and lakeside patios. The grounds were beautiful and extremely well kept. We enjoyed morning coffee, afternoon yard games (perfect yard for bocce!), and evening fires by the lake. The house was wonderful with plenty of room for our group of nine to spread out comfortably. We made several meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we could have asked for and more (panini maker, waffle maker, and pizza cooker to name a few). Dave and Barbara were gracious hosts and were quick to answer any questions we had. We called them the first day we were there to ask about outlet covers since we have a very active one year old granddaughter. A short time later they had us all taken care of. They truly have everything you could possibly need for a relaxing lake vacation. Pack light and enjoy! During our stay, we rented a boat from Our Boat Club down at Eddy’s, had great burgers and pizza from Bayview, and feasted on all you can eat walleye at Lonesome Pine. It was a perfect family vacation filled with memories we will always cherish. Thanks again, Dave and Barbara for your hospitality!

Amazing and unforgettable
Owners were very kind and easy to work with. The home and property were beautiful. I read a review about the mosquitoes on the deck being bad which made me nervous however we had no problems. We enjoyed family meals in the big kitchen dining area and on the patio. We played games and rented a pontoon.

Beautiful home
We enjoyed a week relaxing in this lovely home with our grown children. The home is beautiful, clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a week at the lake. Dave and Barbara were kind, gracious, attentive, and easily reachable with any questions we had during our stay. We highly recommend!

Nice property in a great location.
The property is very private and in a good location. The kitchen and main living area has an open feel and was used most of the time. The upstairs bathroom / shower room was huge and a nice addition. The surrounding landscape was ideal for family pictures. The private dock, fire pit and lounge area was also used extensively. Thank you Dave and Barbara for the use of your property for our family get together!

LOVED!!
We loved our long weekend at Dave and Barbs! They were extremely accommodating and welcoming to us and our family.
We had 10 adults stay at the house and everyone felt like they had enough room to enjoy the space. The kitchen is very large which made cooking and gathering together easy.
We had beautiful weather so we spent most of our time outside. The patio on the water is amazing!! We loved eating dinner down on the water- bring lots of big spray! We also loved the fire pit down there.
Highly recommend!

Not the perfect vacation house the pictures portray
Owners forgot they rented the place to us when we arrived. Had to wait at Casino down the street until 1am for them to clean and vacate property. As a result we could not even use property for the first day we paid for it.
Pictures show a boat dock, but they won't let you tie anything up to it so don't plan on using it. The patio area around dock looks nice in pictures, but unless there is a 20 mph breeze, you won't be able to sit there because of the mosquitos. You also have to cross a county highway to get to it.
The two bathrooms are in very inconvenient locations. One is in master bedroom up stairs that requires you to use spiral staircase only to access it. Other is in center part of house and not convenient for King bedroom in basement or close to room with multiple bed shown in photos.

We had a great time
We had 2 beautiful weather days near perfect, we spent time with family we had fires down at the lake, played games watched movies. Most of us stayed at the house the whole time, no one wanted to go anywhere else. We had enough to do right there. We were all related and only see Each other once a year so it was great to catch up. Great experience. Thank you

Stonehouse on Mille Lacs
It’s a beautiful property with everything you could need for family vacation. We rented a pontoon from Eddys (Your boat club) down the road & enjoyed time on the property playing provided yard games (badminton, corn hole, croquet, bocce ball, etc). Barbara & Dave were very helpful & responsive. Will definitely return!

Magical Lake House!!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BOOK A STAY HERE!! We had the most wonderful stay!!! Dave and Barb were nothing short of lovely and extremely welcoming. When we pulled up with our four young children, they were so kind and went to dig out small baby cars, bikes, and toys out of storage for our stay! They felt like old friends, and were so hospitable. I almost didn’t want them to leave!
We enjoyed four beautiful days of peace and stillness here, and it was magical. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular, and we spent countless hours on the property as a family playing corn hole, bocce ball, basketball, and sitting on the dock in the evenings. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, playing games around the table, and just taking a long pause from the busyness of life. This home truly has it all and served as a beautiful place for us to connect and make memories! Dave and Barb have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! We will definitely be back! Thank you!!

2nd Year Staying at the StoneHouse
Beautiful place. Large and spacious for large families. So fun to be right on the lake. Stocked with anything and everything you could need. Owners are available if needed. Rented boats right up the road at Eddy's. Very few people use the lake for recreation during the weekdays. We had the whole thing to ourselves for tubing and fishing. They provide lots of fun yard games and lake toys. We added a few of our own to the collection!! Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Definitely a fun summer destination if you don't like crowded lakes.

Family Vacation
Gorgeous property. Lots of yard toys and places for a large group to hang out. The carriage house was nice - indoor hangout area, extra fridge and bathroom. We brought our boat up and spent some time on the lake - the weather was perfect. Dave was quick to respond to messages and answer questions. Overall we had a great stay.

It was amazing and wonderful! Everything was perfect and better than expected. Loved home. Lawn games great. Volleyball bags bocce and more. All ages from 4 - 75 enjoyed to the max. Carriage house a perfect place to hang out. Only thing was none of us knew how to use the pampered chef can opener! 😂😂 highly recommend!

Great lake front home!
Superb location on the lake allowing us to tie up our rental boat during the day. LOTS of lawn sports equipment that we made use of and really enjoyed. Only two (very nice) bathrooms in the home so we had to schedule around but we made it work (the bathroom in the carriage house handled the overflow). Grilled out on the large patio evey night!

wonderful relaxing views outside
Very enjoyable, two levels of nice patios with great views, and even views from side yard benches; enjoyable lawns games from family, useable dock and shore line for swim, splash, float; well supplied and handy kitchen setting for group to use and enjoy.

Wonderful weekend at the Stone House!
Lovely place to stay to enjoy the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. Bridesmaids stayed the first evening and got ready for the wedding there. The spa bathroom is luxurious and the open kitchen kept us all connected. It is a beautiful property to take photos as the grounds are well maintained with lots of flowers and some special garden areas. Lakefront was perfect for our family to enjoy the sun and they have added a cute detached “beach house” complete with bathroom, shower. beach towels, laundry and a refrigerator and snack area. Lots of lawn games to keep the family connected outside on the large front lawn. We loved our stay at the Stone House and hope to return soon. Added bonus—the hosts are wonderful people!!!

AMAZING house!
We booked this property to have a “final fling before the ring” with friends and family. Ages ranged from 23 - 60 and this was the perfect house for all of us! We enjoyed spending time together in the living room. Plenty of spaces to sleep with very comfortable living quarters. Multiple people enjoyed the luxury steam shower every day. Our favorite part was being out on the lake and the amazing sitting space that is out there. Overall GREAT trip at this beautiful house! We hope to go back someday! Thanks Dave and Barbra!

Absolutely the most beautiful property on Mille Lacs Lake that we saw.
Hosts are very accommodating, many items for kids to use on the terrace/dock/yard. This property has an amazing terrace for dining/lounging/evening fire pit in the evenings. Definitely recommend. We most likely will be back.

Great home & property location
The Stone house had everything we needed during our week long stay.
The bedrooms were clean, lots of towels for showers, stunning views, great outdoor setup, and kitchen was stocked with almost everything you could possibly need.
Lots of outdoor games to play with, which was fantastic, dock right on the water, fire pit overlooking the lake, etc.
We rented a boat a few times and were able to pull it up to the dock. The water was a little low near the dock, and pretty rocky so couldn’t bring the boat much closer than the end of the dock, but that was fine. We didn’t swim off the dock either just because the water was a little low, but could be done if you were wanting to. They had life jackets for use on the lake, a tube we could use when we rented the boats (tubing was probably the hit of the trip) from down the street.
Definitely use Eddy’s Boat Launch down the street. We wouldn’t recommend Randy’s. We had a poor experience there, but Eddy’s was fantastic. We rented from there a few times.
Neighbors were very nice around the area, grocery store wasn’t too far away, easy 10 minute drive. Gas station and liquor store nearby, maybe a 5 minute drive if that.
Overall it was great week at the house; We even played basketball a few times since they had a hoop and basketballs. It was really fun!
Lots of bugs at night, but that’s to be expected. With some bug spray and a fire everything was just fine. They did have the sticks for roasting marshmallows as well which was nice, because usually we have to find /buy some.
The home was also comfortable with the AC. The only thing that was somewhat difficult was coordinating the bathroom usage because there were 8 of us and only 2 bathrooms, but we made it work.
Otherwise it’s such a nice, beautiful property and we’d love to come visit again in the future. Dave was also very reliable with answering any questions we had during the stay, and we would recommend them anytime!

Amazing lakefront property
Beautiful property right on the lake. Boat rental was a short drive up the road. Owners have great pride of ownership and it was a joy to stay in their home. Teens had tons of fun boating, fishing, swimming and playing yard games and basketball. Adults got some good R&R. We will book again for next summer. Thank you Barb & Dave! Was wonderful to meet you.

Wonderful property with beautiful lake views! The home is well loved and comfortable.
We enjoyed time out on the lake, s’mores by the bonfire, fun and laughter inside and out, as well as good sleep in very comfortable beds.
Great owners who love their home and want you to enjoy your time.

Amazing place, gracious hosts!
This was an incredible place to stay with our family. Everything was super clean, the hosts were very thorough upon arrival and it provided ample space for our group of 6 adults, 2 kids and one infant. We were also able to get our boat rental from just down the street and pick the family up right at the property dock. Highly recommended!

New Years Family Trip
Our family had a wonderful New Years stay at this beautiful home. There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was large enough and furnished to make family meals together. The family room was comfy to watch movies in front of a fire and the living room/dining room was our gathering place for meals and games. Overall, a great property to rent on a beautiful lake.
Thank you!
