The hotel, situated only a few blocks away from the city centre of Granada, is an oasis. The rooms are spacious and the mattresses in the beds are of good quality. The place is very calm and quiet at night. You can relax in a beautiful courtyard right at the cute swimming pool. The hosts Rob and Claudia are wonderful nice and friendly people. They have all the answers to the questions you ask and they know all about Granada and the area around. The breakfast prepared by Rob every morning was excellent and tasty. He also will store your cerveza in the kitchen fridge to keep it cool for the night. Finally this was the best accommodation we had on our Nicaragua trip. Thank you very much for the awesome days in Granada. We hope the american tape rope walker did not fall into the volcano and Masaya is open again to the public !
There was nothing.

The room is spacious with airconditioning and a hot shower. The pool is nice to cool down, great breakfast. Also great tips for the area. Thanks to Rob and Claudia we really felt at home. Would definitely come back!

The house and room are beautiful and the location in the heart of Granada can’t be beat. The bathroom was glorious—so great to be able to flush paper and have hot water in the shower for such a reasonable price. There’s even a small pool and a beautiful space outdoors to hang out and have breakfast—a delicious omelet with potatoes, fruit and toast. The coffee was especially good. But best of all were the hosts, Rob and Claudia. They are so helpful and interesting to talk to. And when we had a medical emergency both of them went way beyond to make sure we got help by calling hospitals and arranging transportation. Even better, they had dinner waiting when we got back to the bed and breakfast late in the evening after the ER visit. And when we had to leave Nicaragua earlier than planned they were so wonderful—helping us make the arrangements and getting ready to go in a rush. Rob had coffee waiting for us at 2:30 a.m. on the morning we left. I can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Casa Silas, and the hosts in particular. We will be back for sure, and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.

Rob and Klaudiania were wonderful host and hostess. Very pleasant . Rob had lots of books about Nicaraguan stories. We hope to return for stay later this spring.
Stay was too short.

- Very friendly and helpfull owners
- Big, clean rooms
- Good breakfast
- Location: far enough grom the noise but close enough to walk everywhere.
- When travelling alone not a place to meet other people.
- Issues with the locks getting in. After 2 nights I managed it. Good they were home a lot so helped all the time.

* We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious, light, clean and comfortable room, as well as the communal space which is an oasis not being able to guess its quality standing on the street. Our room had a comfy bed, high ceiling and some art work which makes it feel like a home. Also the two dogs Toby and Pepina (both sweet) add to this.
* Rob and Claudia were the best hosts ever! They immediately made us feel at ease, were kind to give us advice and personal attention. They're lovely people to talk to as well.
* If you're looking for a cute, quiet and personal accommodation, go to Casa Silas!
