This small cabin was perfect for our family vacation! The beach area is great for everyone, not just the small children. Nice slough without heavy traffic. Will definitely stay again!

The house and grounds were beautiful. The beach area was perfect. Our grandkids stayed in the water all day. We loved this place and will be back again.

We had the best time at this cute cabin. Great location and we loved the beach area! We hope to come back next year.

The house was impeccably clean upon our arrival. My kids loved the lake and the miniature beach. All the amenities we needed were included. Even the weather was great! We definitely hope to return.

We are local and vacation on Lake Martin every summer, and this is one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. The house is cozy and has everything you need, the water access is perfect. We brought our kayak for our teenagers, swam, and fished (caught two blue gill). The grill and picnic area are nice. We had Canadian geese came and swam with us every day we were there. We will definitely stay here again.

Reminds of my childhood in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Excellent cabin, beach, pier, lake. 10/10. No complaints!

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage on Lake Martin. We highly recommend this rental. The cottage was fairly remote, which we enjoyed. It’s equipped with everything you need. The views of the lake are wonderful. We spent most of our time on the large porch, under the pergola ( over the picnic table- not in pictures yet) and sitting on the sandy beach. It’s so lovely. There are many small towns near by the explore. We rented the house for a week. We’d love to rent this cottage again! We drove 7 hours to get there and it was worth the drive. Honestly the only thing that would have made it better would be to have some canoes or kayak to use. But you can rent them locally and they deliver. ( We did not try that.) Hopefully we can rent this place again! ❤️

Enjoyed the cabin very much and would rebook it again. Good:- cabin layout is fantastic. Bathroom is a little tight but not an issue- pier to fish off of is great- quick access to pier, less than a minute to be on the end of the pier- location to everything we needed is perfect- on dead end road so no traffic for privacyBad- lights on pier do not work at night. Solar lights- outlet plugs are 2 prong so you need a 3 to 2 prong adaptor if you want to use outlets in the living room for computer use.- sheets to the master bedroom were on the floor when we got there so needed to wash them- fishing was hit and miss. Needs structure around the pier to hold bait fish and thus larger fish to catch-

Jennifer property manager was wonderful.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The sandy beach made it easy to swim in shallower clear water. My son enjoyed making sandcastles. It is a really nice feature! The property is as it appears in photos and description. Check in was easy with the keypad. The property manager answered our question about the boat ramp quickly. We’ll keep this place on our list of lakefront places to stay near Montgomery.
Master bed was too firm for me and is an older style spring mattress bed.
After we left we told the property manager about some minor issues that we didn’t deem worthy of having our vacation interrupted to have addressed during our stay (rotten board on dock, loose cleat on dock, missing lightbulb for bedroom lamp, underwear of a previous guest under a bed, not enough forks (only5), no regular glasses (only mugs and wine glasses), etc. Hopefully our comments will be addressed to keep this place running smoothly because it’s an enjoyable vacation rental. This would’ve been a 5 of 5 star stay without these issues.

Our family of four had a great time on the water at Lake Martin. However, we were disappointed with our stay at this cabin. For the price point of this rental, we were surprised at how “rustic” the accommodations were. We arrived 25 mins after the 4 pm check in, and the house was still being cleaned. While the view of the lake is lovely, there was a lot being cleared (and stump grinder) to one side, and a house behind demoed to the other. This started at 8 am and went until 5 pm each day. The house had modest kitchen supplies, scare cleaning supplies, not fully functioning dishwasher, lamps missing lightbulbs, mismatch/stained towels, a strong musty smell, and a shower that backed up over your feet. When the property contact was notified multiple times, she responded that someone would come look at the problem. No one ever came. We will return to Lake Martin, but will not be staying at this property. Such a shame after saving up for a summer getaway with our children.

We spent 10 beautiful days on Lake Martin and hated to leave. The waterfront cabin had almost everything we might need. The remote location was a bit of an issue when we discovered we had no gas for the grill. After 4 days without communication or resolution, we just handled it ourselves. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return to the area next spring.

Perfect place for a small family to make memories.
We’ve stayed multiple times.
From fishing from the pier, boat rides, tubing and enjoying those beautiful sunsets!! Kitchen is well equipped to make your meals, beds are comfy and the rustic cabin feel is great.
Thank you Summer, our host, you’re the best!!

We spent 10 days at this lake front home and hated to leave. The house is as described and most everything you need is onsite. The remote location was a drawback when we discovered we had no gas for the grill. Our contact was no help, so after cooking inside for a few days, we finally resolved the problem ourselves. Aside from the communication issues, the trip was great and we plan to return to the area again next spring.

The house and property was overall really nice. The boat ramp may be difficult for some to navigate and it’s not advertised that you may not be able to use it. The house manager was nice but doesn’t respond to emails, only to text messages (which doesn’t state that in the welcome email). The trash can was over flowing from the last guest. So, there was trash all over the yard and a dirty diaper was left under the master bedroom bed.
