El futbolín y la piscina
Pantalla y coffee maker no funcionaban.

There was a whiteboard in front of our cabin and the key was in the door, ready for us to open.
What we didn't like are suggestions to make the place a number 10!
We loved staying here, kitchen was good enough for the 4 days and the pool was well maintained and nice to cool off in. Small place made for a more social setting with everyone talking to each other. An easy walk to Super Chico store where we could get supplies.
We would definitely come back and hope that suggestions are looked at for next time.
The maintenance guy did not speak any English so difficult to communicate or get any suggestions but he was quick to deal with issues, like when we had no water, it was fixed quickly.
The directions to the "Villas Cabuya Beach & Jungle" needs to be updated. It refers to a restaurant as the point indicating next steps - it is no longer there. Cabuya Lodge is now that restaurant and no where near the cabins. It is no longer called Beach & Jungle - just Villa Cubuya and no sign at top of street that could have made life so much easier. None of the locals new of this place until we just happened on a neighbour in the local store. There is no gas station in Cubuya - you can buy gas by the litre from a house and it is VERY expensive, so fuel up in Cobano. Our internet dropped on day two and it didn't come back up until the next day.
You really need new chairs on the individual decks. We couldn't sit on ours as they were falling apart.

Nice cabin/villa with all you need. Good WiFi connection, big couch, big fridge, nice pool. Also the host Marco was a great guy. We saw many different birds and even monkeys from the cabin.
Nothing big. Pillows were too high for us and the beds made noice when you moved. Water pressure was low at times.

Alain the property manager was exceptional. He greeted us upon arrival, ensured we had everything we needed, provided suggestions for things to see and do to enhance our stay in the area. Property was very well maintained and quiet. The rooms were well appointed and stocked. A scarlet macaw pair made appearances in the nearby trees. Thanks Alain! You were the perfect host!

amazing and clean property!!

It's a very nice property with multiple cabins all connected by doors, and a swimming pool in the front to be used for the entire property. The cabins were clean and well taken care of, with working AC, and nice kitchen equipment provided for all purposes. We rented three cabins, for two couples and one family of four.
The national park is in walking distance and has a very nice trail to the cape.
Overall, we (one of the couples in the group) didn't feel like the price was worth it - for the experience, it is very expensive.
- The bed we had was a nightmare, we moved to sleep on the couch in the end, the bedsprings were poking very hard.
- Unfortunately, it's nothing for light sleepers, we couldn't sleep without ear plugs, there is a lot of very loud barking dogs around the property. It's quite common for Costa Rica in general, but we felt it was particularly bad here.
- There was no warm water in the shower, though they said they were working on it.
- The internet was hit or miss, again, they said they were working on it, but for our work meetings, it tanked.
- Not something the property can do much about, but there's no nice beach nearby, they are all very rocky. That said, we came mostly for the hike in the national park and to pass through on a longer way.

Alain is a great host, always available to help with anything. the bungalows are very clean and the kitchen has a lot of good quality appliances you can use. the breakfast was lovely, pancakes and an amazing fruit bowl and it was delivered to the patio outside the lodge at whatever time you like. it was in a quiet and peaceful location.
there was no hot water in our lodge, but Alain let us use the shower next door. I know some people are not bothered by this.

the staff was friendly and the pool is good to refresh after a warm day!
there is not much privacy as there is a lot of traffic in front of the cabins ! some of the kitchen tools like the rice cooker were not working and the stove with only one cooker was not very efficient! the outdoor seating area furniture is not comfortable!

Such outstanding and friendly hospitality from the staff - they even helped fix my shoe when it broke. Far above and beyond. The place itself is cosy, well-equipped and located close to the beautiful Cabo Blanco nature reserve. Get to the reserve as close to 8am as possible, so you don't have to hike 2hrs each way in the heat. It's mostly covered by jungle though and although moderate, worth it when you get to the beach!

It was clean and close to things we wanted to do. Breakfast was served on our porch.

The host Alain was really amazing and the property was beautiful, comfortable and well kept. The location is nice and relaxing and we saw Macaws resting on nearby branches. Good value for money. Host cooks you breakfast every morning and it's really good!

Scarlet Macaws in beautiful gardens with pool. Very comfortable, clean cabins. Alain is a friendly and helpful host. Great location for exploring Cabo blanco and also Rio Lajas and the cemetery island. A few local restaurants and mini market in walking distance.
Everything was good.

Service was exceptional! The room was great and the grounds were very well kept. We were treated with a flock of wild Scarlet Macaws in the tree outside our room.

We like that they are trying hard to improve the quality of accommodation in this region. It was clean and modern. The hosts were friendly!
Small problem with the mattress....so important to sleep well.....

The simplicity, only 4 guest cottages.
Pool was very inviting.
Breakfast was "made to order" and delivered to room.
The construction noise next door.

Alan was a great and kind host. It started to rain while we were out and he moved our stuff under the cabin overhang. He was very responsive to every communication. The hotel was super clean and the kids and i enjoyed the pool. They have a covered area with foosball, darts, and a couch which the kids played in. Everything in town is walkable.
Great hotel but two recommendations are to offer fruit with the breakfast and consider adding some thinner pillows. The hot water was limited.

Rooms are a good size and super clean. Staff friendly.
Salt, pepper and coffee in the rooms would have been nice.
