We stayed in Government camp in the last few days of our trip around Oregon. The house was as described and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the upper balcony for morning coffee. It was an easy walk to the grocery store and the choice of many restaurants. We highly recommend Huckleberry Inn for meals. (we lived on the homemade pie and pastries) Short drive to the iconic Timberline Lodge. A few recommendations: dryer did not work well. It took 3 cycles to dry clothes. (maybe clean lint?) Main floor could use window coverings. It was a bit unnerving to arrive and all doors were unlocked. Also, there was no "house binder" with instructions. There are many thermostats in the house. Turns out, some are for heat and some for heated floors. A binder with instructions would have been helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This is a beautiful home with lots of space and was well stocked. Our party of 3 adult couples were very pleased. It was super easy and short to walk to stores and restaurants. Also the kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals each day. Positively a great stay!

It’s such a beautiful home!! I love the split level concept. Kids were downstairs in the game room while adults hung out on top. Plenty of space for 4 families and kiddos!
Cons:
-Water from fridge was not working, we had to go buy bottled water.
-Hot tub has no privacy and literally 1 foot from the back road which is pretty busy with cars and foot traffic. It was a bit awkward.
Pros:
-Spacious
-Beautiful view from kitchen and the open windows
-Clean
-Some toiletries provided
- walking distance to town
Overall home was beautiful and we loved our time there. We would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the hot tub, but Definitely book it if you are looking for a home for bigger families!

BEAUTIFUL home!!
We rented for a weekend, three generations (1year - 77 years old) and everyone was comfortable and loved the house. Once the house was ready we were notified that we could get in early if we'd like. When we were unable to get the lock open for the hot tub Vacasa support resolved the issue via text within minutes. Easy walk to store and restaurants. We would absolutely rent this home again.

We had a family wedding at Mt Hood. I was looking for a place that would accommodate several family members including my 90+ year parents. The home was very spacious, clean and comfortable and provided the correct amount of space for the nine of us. It was also very convenient for all the wedding events which were held in Government Camp.

We were four siblings and spouses. The house was great! Roomy, clean. A very nice house to relax in. Also great for games around the table or downstairs in the game room. The hot tub was great. The house is beautiful and we all enjoyed it a lot!

It was a nice place, but the refrigerator didn’t work. Otherwise would definitely stay again.

House was great. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Just a couple things missing were wine glasses, a working can opener and a cookie sheet. Already booked a trip to come back again.

Terrific location, just blocks from downtown Govy and Summit ski area. Nice great room and kitchen to enjoy being family. Liked catching the Timberline shuttle at summit so we didn’t have to drive to Timberline, which allowed us to ski back to Govy on the newly widened and groomed alpine trail. Nice beds and bedding. Check hot tub on arrival and immediately call property manager if water isn’t clear. Will stay here again.

Wonderful location and comfortable stay! Would definitely stay here. My only feedback would be that there were a few things missing for the price of the property: coffee filters, shower accessories (soap, shampoo, conditioner). The hot tub lock was fairly tricky, got it open with some luck. Thanks for the stay!

A couple of families came up for a spring ski trip. It was great as we got snow for the whole week. If the driveway is clear they will clear the snow from the driveway. There was no shovel in the house, although we left the one we got behind at the house. There was also an issue with the water pump for the fridge, but it’s on back order. Just making sure anyone who comes there next knows.
There is a lot of stuff in the kitchen. Oddly no black pepper. and the knives all could use some
Sharpening.

Mt Hood Ski House
The house was great place to have a family Skiing vacation. It was very conveniently located and had lots of games and things for the family to enjoy while not on the slopes.

Fantastic house to accommodate many!
Absolutely wonderful property with large room, plenty of showers, and a heated garage which is nice for storing ski equipment. The hot tub was a much needed bonus after a day of skiing or just to relax. Plenty of towels (bath and pool) available for all of our guests. House was very clean and well stocked from the kitchen to plug in fans to towels. Walkable to shuttle or even Timberline Summit Pass for those moderately fit. Definitely recommend this property.

Excellent
The prior reviews have summarized well. The house is well stocked, or maintained, and has been a better experience for us than many other places in which we have stayed.

Amazing Cabin!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was warm & cozy the entire time. Plenty of seating & offered several beds for additional guests. It’s was conveniently located very close to several lakes & waterfalls that we hike/drove to. The gaming room was a huge plus along with the hot tub after a long hike or just winding down for the evening. It was a 5 star cabin!! We will stay here again & I highly recommend it!!

Family stay in Government Camp
Brand new hot tub, games in the rec room, lots of space to spread out. A great place for exploring the area.

Separate Spaces
As ski race families that travel together we love it when a home offers separate spaces. Lounge area for the teens and a lovely deck off the living/kitchen areas for the parents. Strategically placed bunks helped us comfortably sleep our young athletes in a girls room upstairs and the young men downstairs. Both teens and parents appreciated how walkable this home is to general store, coffee shop, and our ski team coaches lodging for their evening meetings and morning shuttles to our race camp this past week. All the extra hot tub towels were a bonus as was the garage space for loading/unloading.

Amazing
This has to be the most amazing cabin i have ever been in. It’s cozy, big enough to fit my whole family the hot tub is a bonus!!!

Nice building needs some upkeep and guides
It is a nice building with comfortable beds; mostly clean and attractive accommodations. We were not able to use the hot tub because we couldn't get the temperature up and many jets didn't work (no manual or instruction available). Some small things but mostly good.

Family ski fun!
House was a quick distance to Timberline (14mins) and Meadows (18mins) and a block from restaurants and a market. House was a plenty big for 6 with a great game room (food all, air hockey) and hot tub. Deck was huge and warm in the sun. Kitchen was well stocked even with kid stuff! The stool in the bathroom and night light in master bath was great for that reason, although each bathroom could use a nightlight. Light switches near kitchen and in rec room were not all responsive. Master bathtub light is out. Having one bath with a detachable shower head for washing kids would be super handy. Biggest issue was not knowing if there was wifi and not getting a response through the multiple messages via the Vrbo app nor via text over multple days and tries.

Beautiful house in a great location for snow fun
Beautiful House in a great location for snow fun. The driveway and nearby street is perfect for sledding for little ones. The living room has a great view of snowy trees. The main street with ski shop, general store, and restaurants are a short walk away. The only disappointments were a broken hot tub (and we found out last minute) and the cleaners were running behind so we couldn't check in until after 5pm.
