The pool surrounded by lush flora and fauna was perfect! The breakfast although simple was a nice way to start the day.
Nothing stood out as something I didn’t like.

When we got there we were told that we would have to pay extra for A/C which wasn't stated in the booking description. The rooms were descent size but pretty dirty and dated which is so unfortunate because the building itself is in a pretty colonial style structure. It's very unkept and the staff didn't really seem to know what was going on, pretty chaotic and unorganized. The included breakfast was not great, but luckily next door there was a cute cafe rand by a really nice couple that served breakfast for cheap and the food and coffee was delicious.

The receptionis was very kind
We had to leave immediately, the pillows had mold and hairs and the towels were dirty.
We keft immediately and no money was reimbursed.

It’s pretty but the pool is not clean, there’s always laundry hanging on the balconies of the rooms.
It’s not what they advertise and the staff are really unfriendly. When I spoke to them about issues they didn’t care at all. The sheets hade holes from cigarettes.

They helped me get a bus to San Carlos as I couldnt find one direct.
The lady at reception didn't speak a word of English

I arrived (with a confirmed reservation) and there was no beds free. I have not been offered any other solution, eg. any other hostel option that was nearby. I had to look for a room/bed alone (even though I didn’t have any internet to look for it online and I was super tired after traveling whole day). Thanks for being very helpful. Very bad welcome to Nicaragua. I expected more from the people working in tourism.

The staff was super friendly, and the pool was nice and clean...you get what you are paying
Pdt: we really loved the show that the static of the sheets gave, was a really nice surprise :3
The smell of humidity in the room, besides that everything was nice

Hostel was exactly as expected, based on the reviews. We did not use it, but the kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. I pretended I was a hippopotamus and spent most of my time in the pool.
The ceiling fan is only decorative!! Like all of Nicaragua, bedrooms are stiflingly HOT!! If they don't have a stand-alone electric fan, I'd recommend buying one.

One night, two guys on the street, just in front of the hostel, who wanted to rob me, kicked me until I was covered in blood.
The day after I still had one night already booked at the hostel but I wanted to leave because I didn't feel safe at all so I asked if they could just give me back the money for the night because I was leaving and they didn't accept. I still didn't believe it.
The worst place where I've been in 4 years of travel. And it's not safe at all. Don't go there!

It had Aircon. The building itself was a beautiful colonial place.
Beware OTC stands for Hostal Los Octavianos. There is something very suspicious going on here. They trade under two names at once, a hotel and a hostel which are two very different things!!
It's a party hostel not a hotel as I thought. There is a bar open to the public which has a techno DJ at night. At 11 pm I expected music to stop and went to reception to confront the staff. After a long time someone drinking at the bar attended me. They said it was a party hostel and the music wouldn't be over until maybe 3pm.
The kitchen was filthy. They served a local breakfast but the bread tasted of washing detergent, how I don't know but I couldn't eat it.
The room had a bad smell, like a dog smell. There were cigarette burn holes in the end sheets. There was no proper door to the bathroom. At night you could hear animals scurrying over head, like nice or bats.

Breakfast as expected with a strong cafe. No problem and prompt. Clean and healthily and typical local food from this side of thee planet
Well apart from it all it's a different story.

We like the swimming pool even if we can't see 50cm deep ^^
We like the ppl aka guests
I didn't like the manager, who bite the voluntary barman, who doesn't say hello, who entered, loudly, switch the light on, complety drunk, in the dorms at 4am to use the bathroom !!

Great location and includes breakfast
Mosquitoes in the evening. The common area was open air. Adding fans, would likely improve the situation.

Breakfast was basic but worked. Location was great, while close to all the action but just far enough away from the hustle.
This place has great potential but is missing the mark a few basic things with the room we stayed in. There was nowhere to hang your towels once used. This made it difficult for them to dry. Some basic hooks and towel bars in the bathroom would go a long way. The shower head should be replaced as it's so plugged up barely any water comes out of it. The shower doors will not slide in their track system and makes it hardly usable. There's a drip of water from the ceiling when the AC is running and should be repaired. It doesn't happen right away but once running for awhile.

The property has potential but it was dirty, it did have good Wi-Fi.
The property was dirty, front desk woman was not friendly, they didn’t accept credit card, we had to fight to get remote for AC, they locked us out at night so we had to bang on door for several minutes (they did not tell us there was a curfew so really unsure if there is one), free breakfast was 1 pancake.., and we didn’t have water in morning to shower

The staff was very kind and the pool very refreshing.
The beds in the dorm have no mattresses, just two toppers on a wooden board. The Dog always poops next to the lockers.

Personal
One of the worst hotels in nicaragua, small breakfast( just pancake, so I ended up to eat somewhere else even that my breakfast was included). Mold smell in my room.

very good looking little hotel in great shape. the receptionist was so nice and sweet!!!!
room was very small and could barely walk into the bathroom. very thin sheet is all you get for a blanket at night. the breakfast was good but not very filling. only one thin pancake with some fruit. perfect for a light eater but not for me. the swimming pool didn't look clean. hair floating all over it. probably from all the dogs and cats there. they said they had parking but they didn't. we had to park down the street in a payed parking lot for only 100 cordobas and it was gated and secure.

good location. lobby was cute. stuff was helpful when around.
bathrooms are small. terrible lighting in the rooms. beds are very uncomfortable and woke up everyday with back pain and I think they had bed bugs, would wake up with bites that were not mosquitoes. furniture was old and you could smell the “old smell”

Great staff, good location nice atmosphere.
