About this apartment rental
One picture is worth a 1000 words does NOT apply to our spectacular condo! As Florida condo renters for years, purchasing, updating and decorating this unit was a labor of love for the owners. Working in the fast-paced NYC music industry, their primary consideration was peace, seclusion and privacy. Hutchinson Island is Florida’s best kept secret. This barrier island is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the serene and beautiful Indian River. The owners found it quite by accident by searching Google key words such as, “private vacation getaway”, and “secluded island.” With the exception of one Marriott Resort, there are no huge hotel conglomerates, no crowded beaches, just miles of breathtaking, serene, shell packed beaches and miraculously, only a very few condos restricted to the maximum 4 story height. We choose the Spoonbill because it is only one of two ocean front buildings in Indian River Plantation offering one week rentals.
Here’s why our condo is so special to us (and our ecstatic renters):
1) Directly on the Atlantic Ocean…..only steps away!
2) Exceptionally large balcony, accessible from the living room and master bedroom with a breathtaking, panoramic view of the ocean and large, heated pool.
3) Meticulously maintained and tastefully decorated in cool tropical hues of green, blue and turquoise and completely renovated with new furniture, fixtures, upholstery and accents, by the owner/decorator.
4) 1,100 sf completely tiled apartment includes large living room with comfortable leather sofa and recliner to relax in front of a 37” HD flat panel TV. A full dining area and modern newly renovated kitchen, completely equipped for those of you who want to cook and dine in. A large master bedroom with a new, firm, king mattress, TV, adjoining updated bathroom and sliding door to ocean-front balcony. Lovely, large guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, TV, with adjoining updated bathroom.
5) The historic, quaint town of Stuart is located just minutes away with a colorful array of novelty and antique shops, fine dining and live theater performances at the Lyric Theater. The Lyric stage hosts a year-round schedule of world-class performances from national and internationally renowned artists featuring concerts, comedy, musicals, drama and dance. The Barn Theater presents delightful plays featuring local talent.
6) Only 45 minutes away from Palm Beach International Airport, 25 minutes from First Data Field in Port Saint Lucie, the spring training camp for the New York Mets and 35 minutes from Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL, the spring training camp for the St. Louis Cardinals. Disney World and Universal Studios are only 2 hours away.
7) The front door has a push button locking system (key-less entry) so you will not have to meet anyone for access. A unique entry code will be sent to your phone the day of your arrival.
8) Amenities include nearby golf, tennis, fishing, boating and biking.

Location is convenient to many good restaurants and a newer grocery store. This unit is very well maintained and has everything needed for a relaxing vacation, including beach chairs. This property has received only 5 stars from previous reviews for a reason. It is an ideal location right on the beach, but is not overcrowded. Everything we wanted (grocery store, restaurants, golf courses) was a short drive away. The condo itself is roomy, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well stocked with anything you might need. We had an issue the first night figuring out the TV and Carl and Adrianna stopped by within minutes and helped us figure it out. We ended up running into them a couple of times during the week and really enjoyed getting to know them. This was a great getaway from a dreary Iowa winter!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at this property. It is exactly, if not better than as advertised. The morning sunrises over the horizon was a wonderful start of the day. The balcony was much larger than anticipated on which we spent many an evening. Enjoyed meeting the owners who are great folks. The development itself is quiet,relaxing and steps to the ocean's edge . The sound and sight of the waves hitting the shore added to the experience. Would strongly recommend this property and would surely consider returning again.

Relax you are in the beach
Perfect condo for beach lovers, direct view of the ocean and almost private beach (Carefully avoid the Turtles nests :). All the amenities were as described in the listing. All that is needed for a relaxing vacation in the beach also perfect for a workation. Adrianna and Carl were very helpful throughout the booking and checking .

Every rental should be so nice!
I don’t know about everyone else but I’m always so nervous when I’m renting a place without actually seeing it. Pictures can be so deceiving. Well nothing to worry about here! The pictures are exactly what you get. A very clean condo beautifully & comfortably furnished. Pots, pans, utensils, measuring cups. You name it and it’s there! A wine opener too!! Lol! Towels, beach towels, beach chairs & toys! All there! It was our first time back on the island in many years. We had a great week with 4 of our grandchildren, our son & DIL. I’m so glad I found this wonderful place to come home to regenerate our batteries for the next days adventure! Thank you Adrianna & Carl for sharing your beautiful home!

We loved staying at Spoonbill condo 2202. What a beautifully decorated space. Large patio overlooking the pool and ocean. We loved seeing the sunrise every morning. Owners were very responsive before our stay and during our trip. We will definitely be renting here again for our next trip.

Refreshing!
After fast-tracking a wedding, we really enjoyed this hassle-free vacation spot.
We cooked half our meals in the kitchen and barbecues were available down by the pool. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves. The bed was comfortable, the pool was quiet, and the ocean was just over the berm. The Marriott next-door also had a pool and bar which we patronized heavily. There’s a grocery store just down the street, tennis courts and golf courses. Restaurants are only a short drive away. It’s pretty hassle free. The place is family friendly. We would also recommend for a couple that wants peace and quiet.

Outstanding condo, outstanding owners!! A few hiccups out of their control
The condo is immaculate. The owners method of signing a lease with a security deposit made a lot more sense to us after our stay. They treat their property with love and absolute attention to detail. It is rare to be in a beach condo where even the grout in the tub is completely spotless. The owners care about their renter's stay and replied almost immediately to any question or concern that we have.
The extra wide balcony is a huge plus. Not all units have balconies like this one, and it is a huge consideration for anyone looking at Spoonbill. Their furniture was clean, comfortable and high quality. They also provided very nice beach chairs and umbrellas. Note, that while they do not have a Marriott membership (so you can't use the facilities next door), we did not find this to be an issue at all. The Marriott beach chairs were nice (though we were not allowed to rent them), but the area they were placed was packed whereas in front of Spoonbill it was sparsely populated and gorgeous.
We enjoyed the easy access to the Elliott Museum and the House of Refuge, both we recommend highly. The location is great. There are two beautiful bridges that have lovely walking paths over the causeways. It could not have been easier to get around.
A couple of things to be aware of, just for setting expectations. If the condo is occupied by other owners or renters who respect the condo rules (no smoking, no music at the pool, only swim in the pool during open hours, dogs with the propensity to bark are not left in a condo alone for hours), the setting is tranquil and peaceful. During our stay this was not the case, and judging from other reviews, it appears to be a one off. The reason to mention this is that the condo building's position and configuration yields a magnification of noise. It is easy to hear low conversations at the pool or on other condo's balconies. Again, not much of an issue if everyone follows the rules - but it can be very aggravating to go sit on the beautiful deck and be met with smoke and noise. On the days when it was quite, the balcony could not be beat!
We gave the property a five star review because the condo deserves it. The owners were so helpful and so interested in learning about the issues that we had (that we really think were a strange confluence over a holiday week).

Perfect in Paradise
This is a beautiful condo on Hutchinson Island within the Marriott resort area, impeccably decorated with every single detail you could imagine taken care of. There are amenities galore from beach chairs, to a fully-equipped kitchen to even beach toys and games for the kids. There is a large patio with a table and chais overlooking the ocean and the pool area and it was our absolute favorite spot to hang out. The owners are fabulous in their communication and in their maintenance of the property. Their pride of ownership really shines through in how everything is setup and maintained. The building itself is also well-maintained with beautiful common areas complete with artwork, furniture, books and a gorgeous pool area and even a grilling area. The beach is just steps away from the pool. When we visited, the pool was usually not crowded unlike other resorts and condos we stayed at before. The owners have taken care of every detail possible with even menus of their favorite spots to eat (tons of restaurants a short drive away in Stuart) along with suggestions for other things to do in the area. Need a restaurant recommendation? An idea on what to do with the kids other than the beach? Need any help at all? The owners are great communicators and always available. And they really want you to have a great stay. Book this property NOW. You won't regret it. We WILL be back!

My husband and I booked these place because we needed to get away from the city to relax and before the kids starts school! The place is located on Hutchinson Island which we love the location. It's peaceful and quiet! What I love about this place we stayed in is the pool is located right below our patio because I can see my husband and kids in the pool while I enjoyed my wine and a plate of cheese! Can't get any better then this!!! Also, the place is very tidy, clean and it has everything you need which feels like home away from home! We would definitely book this place again if we are coming back to Hutchinson Island, Florida for our vaction! I would defintely recommend this place! Thank you!

A very nice, quiet location. No partying allowed. Great for families
I found this location online, and glad we did. We stayed the week of fourth July 2020. Covid 19 had florida public beaches closed, Good thing this a very quiet PRIVITE BEACH. We was able to enjoy our time here during this time. Locate Restaurants was open for business. This condo has everything you need, I would recommend this condo to my friends and we will be return.

Sad to be leaving
This condo was perfect for us. I had the most incredible sunrises from the balcony each morning. Everything surpassed our expectations. In fact since my husband is quite the cook he always brings kitchen things with him. Not only did he not remove them from the car this time... he even will be buying the sauté pans we used during our stay in this condo. It was spotless upon arrival. The master bed was more comfortable than ours at home and the linens were wonderful. Lots of beach accessories on hand including chairs, umbrella and even fishing supplies. We loved our stay so much I emailed the owner asking if we could stay another month! You can’t go wrong renting this place. One little surprise was that the washer dryer was coin operated in the hall but it never was a problem. We ended up never having to wait for them and they operated very well. So 5 stars all the way including communication with the owner!

Perfect Place!
We truly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo! We were here to visit family and friends in our hometown of Stuart! Thank you for providing such good quality amenities such as kitchen tools, comfortable bedding, bath towels, and nice furnishings. We appreciate the comfort as we mainly came to fish and relax. We sat on the oceanfront balcony daily and every evening to unwind listen to the waves. We also loved the convenience of having A nice Publix nearby for groceries and Pub Subs! Adrianna and Carl were a pleasure to communicate with and welcomed us into their home. We treated the place with care as if it were our own. Wonderful Vacation Spot!
The condo was impeccably clean and well maintained. The beach chairs and umbrellas available for use were fantastic! The unit was very well equipped for our family of four. The pool was spotless and always warm. It was a little hard to carry all of our stuff to the beach over the dune steps, but we made the best of it. Visited some excellent restaurants in the area with great food. Would definitely return!

Wonderful
Our stay in June was wonderful. The booking process was seamless and easy. It is so nice to arrive and have starter things like paper towels,toilet paper,dish soap, etc already in place! The condo is well furnished with a high end mattress in the master bedroom. We like to cook in and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook a fine meal. The best part for us was the huge balcony! You have a complete table set and plenty of room for the comfy lounge chairs. The view of the ocean was spectacular. Can’t wait to come back.

Homey condo, wonderful view
We all enjoyed the condo and the setting of it overlooking the pool and ocean. The condo was lovely and comfortable making it easy to feel at home as soon as we unpacked. I loved sitting on the balcony having breakfast and reading the paper with such a view. The balcony furniture was also quite nice especially if you had 4 – 6 people there (we didn’t just saying it would easily accommodate that many). We found some lovely restaurants in the area too. We celebrated my mom’s birthday at Kyle Gs Prime seafood & steakhouse with a delicious meal and they even decorated the table for her. We enjoyed a great pizza from Carmela’s one evening. Bruce and I had couple great lunches on the riverfront at the Dolphin Bar & shrimp house. Thanks Adrianna and Carl for maintaining such a lovely condo!

PERFECT VACATION
Our family has been vacationing on Hutchinson Island for many years and it has become a favorite gathering place for all our family members. It is a beautiful area with the pristine beaches, neatly manicured landscapes and wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. This was our first stay at this lovely condo within the Indian River Plantation. It was definitely an exceptional location on Hutchinson Island, with a fantastic ocean view & close to many places of interest throughout H.I. & Stuart. It is steps away from the beach and swimming pool and the condo has a very nice oceanfront balcony to dine or lounge outside. The owners have created a perfect oceanfront oasis – it is exceptionally well decorated and maintained. They have been very gracious and welcoming throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time here on Hutchinson Island. The condo was beautiful and with all the necessary amenities that made the stay all that more enjoyable. The condo was exactly as the pictures showed. Being on the island was so relaxing and quiet. Everything you needed was only a few minute drive away. Ocean view from the condo was breathtaking. Easy access to pool and beach. Looking forward to returning.
