About this cottage rental
Glastonbury Rose is a four star AA cottage, lovingly decorated, and cared for. It has one twin and one double room, and is well furnished. The double bedroom has an unobstructed view of the Tor, and the twin looks out to the Goddess Hall, and St. Benedict's Church. It has very cozy beds with nice linens. The bathroom has a power shower as well as a bath. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast basics on your arrival, including milk, butter, eggs, cereal, bread, tea and coffee. Free unlimited Wi-Fi. There is a little outside terrace to grab some sunshine in the morning. It has very little traffic, as it is not a busy through road. It is two minutes from the High St. with easy access to all shops, restaurants, and events. Its a twenty minute walk to the Chalice Well and the Tor, or there is a seasonal bus which leaves from the High St. for your convenience. Glastonbury Rose has consistently received good reviews since opening a couple of years ago. We are always on hand if needed, or you want some advice. We also offer sacred site tours, alternative therapies, and airport/train pick up if needed.
*Please note that the cottage backs on to the Mitre Pub. They play skittles a few times a week. They finish by 11:00-11:15. This can be heard in the bedrooms. Not terribly loud but noticeable.

Rose Cottage was the perfect place for us! The moment we stepped inside, we knew this was where we were meant to land in Glastonbury. Love and care were evident in all of the sweet details throughout the space and we immediately felt right at home.
The location is excellent--right off of the High Street, yet away from the bustle of traffic.
Meredith and John are lovely hosts, welcoming and communicative. We look forward to returning to their beautiful home again and again!

We spent four wonderful nights in Meredith and John's sweet cottage. Meredith met us there and straight away made us feel right at home. She was always available to answer questions or be of assistance. She thoughtfully stocked the refrigerator with milk, eggs, jams and butter, and the cabinet with a delicious coffee and a loaf of bread. Everything is there to get your day off to a great start. Glastonbury is an amazing little town and there is so much to see and explore. Four days wasn't really enough time and so we look forward to our next visit!

We chose to stay in Glastonbury for its location within Somerset but also for what the town offers. The owner actually met us to help us figure out parking and to check in. The Victorian place was quirky in all the right ways. We were on a long-term vacation, so we loved the access to laundry. Big bonus: the owners left us breakfast foods that lasted our entire three-day stay! What a wonderful perk! They also stayed in contact with us when we had questions about where to eat and where to visit! Truly, they made our stay very welcoming. There is free parking available, but it's a short walk away from the place. However, the location just can't be beat for closeness to the Abbey as well as the whole shopping and dining area of Glastonbury. If we visit again, this is where we'll be staying!

I just love ROSE COTTAGE-- truly its a wonderful place to stay- everything about it is just perfect! From the comfy beds, to the adorable living room to the incredible proximity to the high street. I loved every minute of it and cant wait to return. Meredith was a gem to work with - and responded to all my questions and was very helpful. Even the next door neighbour cat is a love!

The cottage was extremely comfortable and very cosy, in an ideal location just outside the centre of Glastonbury and included all the necessary amenities.
Upon arrival we were given an extremely friendly welcome by Meredith, who gave an invaluable tour of the house and offered further support if needed! We were made to feel completely at home whilst staying in the cottage and we had no issues during our stay. The decor is very interesting, but perfect for the atmosphere of Glastonbury.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend staying here.

The owners Meredith and John couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. A very warm welcome to Rose Cottage with the added bonus of tea, milk and biscuits to revive us after our long journey. The cottage was clean, comfortable and inviting. Plenty of linen, towels and if you have forgotten your toiletries there are plenty to help you out. The beds are so comfortable you don't want to get out...but you do as there is plenty to do in and around Glastonbury. Lashings of hot water, great shower and the cottage was lovely and warm. Even though it is in the centre of the town there was no noise at night to disturb your sleep. My husband and I and our two friends enjoyed our stay very much. We have left the cottage having had lots of laughter and a very good time.

Once upon a time on the legendary Isle of Avalon was a small cottage where, if you stayed there long enough, you began to notice that magical things happened all around you. They happened in your sleep and while you were awake, if you allowed them. They could be transforming if that's what you desired.
After many hundreds of years and the disappearance of the inland sea, this isle became the Glastonbury of today along with a magical Rose Cottage, perhaps on that very ancient spot. No one knows.
Rose Cottage is a unique realm of comfort. The cozy living area is the first room to greet you, full of eclectic decor, books, movies and the warmth of a fireplace heater and down throws, as well as a place to recharge mobile devices. The kitchen is fully equipped with easy-to-use appliances. The bathroom is large and bright with the most fantastic power shower. Upstairs are two lovely bedrooms, with amazingly comfortable beds for dreamy sleeping.
But the magic really began before we saw the cottage, it started when John picked us up at Heathrow and removed any conceivable stress of getting to our destination. He took us to Stonehenge en route and later with his expert guidance, knowledge and kind manner we began to experience the mystical places of our special journey. Over the next few days, we toured with John to numerous majestic sites such as Tintagel, Merlin's Cave, Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill, St Nectan's, etc. as well as exploring special Glastonbury locations such as the Tor.
Then there was the magic of Rose Cottage's location. Like a portal, it enabled us to have the freedom to do whatever and go wherever we wanted at any time. All we had to do was desire it. Is there a grocery store nearby? Practically around the corner. A bus to somewhere? Around the corner. A taxi to somewhere else? Around the corner. Restaurants and shops? You get it; like magic. From synchronous events, otherworldly symbols and dreams we evolved through ten happy days until John returned us to Heathrow, leaving us with our enchanted memories.
Sound like magic? We strongly suggest that you make Rose Cottage a "must" in your life experience.
With blessings from,
Joy, Lesley and Patti (JLP) in Canada
