About this farm stay rental
16 th century stone farmhouse annex built with stone from Glastonbury Abbey, with cottage stable door, exposed beams, stone mullions, window seats and flagstone floor.
Short walk across fields and footpaths to the summit of Glastonbury Tor.
The farmhouse was lovingly restored in 2019 using traditional lime plaster methods and low volatile eco-friendly paints, installing a filter for drinking water. There are 2 bedrooms, ( 1 double , 1 twin with ensuite, 2nd bathroom. The annex also benefits from a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, dining table and a separate lounge with wood-burning stove. There is underfloor heating in the kitchen to make it extra cosy in the winter months.
I live next door in the main part of the house so will be available to greet you and if you need anything during your stay.
You'll have your own separate seating area and personal entrance under the rose arch, and can also enjoy use of my private swimming pool, and I'm happy to share my 1/2 acre garden which has lots of secluded seating areas. There's a brick built BBQ base under the apple tree suitable for charcoal BBQ's.
Surrounded by nature you'll enjoy far reaching views across fields as far as Wells Cathedral and Mendip Hills.
Its an ideal location for a restful holiday or perfect for longer stays of 2 - 4 weeks if you fancy a working break in the country away from the city.
If you enjoy walking there are plenty of footpaths and quiet lanes, nature reserves within easy reach. Plenty of flat cycling, and enjoy a plethora of wildlife, we sometimes get visiting deer in the garden, see hedgehogs and the hedgerows abound with chirpy sparrows and other bird-life.
It's also an area of historical interest through the ages with Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Cave, Glastonbury Abbey, Burrow Mump ( famous as the place that King Alfred took refuge and burnt the cakes!), Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace, Chalice Well Gardens and Spring.
Have an interesting stroll along Glastonbury High Street with its colourful mix of eclectic shops.
There are traditional Street markets in Wells on Wednesdays and Saturdays and in Glastonbury on Tuesday with local food and crafts.

Lovely property, well maintained. Nice and quiet, with a pool which was perfect. Tamsin and Pipa the labrador were very welcoming and friendly. Walking distance to the Tor and the town, which has plenty of cafés and restaurants. A unique place to experience. Highly recommend. Thanks Tamsin

We loved staying at Tamsin's! The cottage is just beautiful, with picture-perfect views from every window. Everything was spotlessly clean and of the highest quality. We were touched by the thoughtful welcome gifts which included wine, chocolate and homemade apple juice - so generous! Tamsin was a wonderful host - so welcoming and helpful, and a clear communicator throughout. We feel very lucky to have stayed here, and would love to return one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to rebook. Enjoyed a fire in the wood burning stove almost nightly. It is a very quiet location; the beds are comfortable. The city of Wells is very close to the property which we enjoyed more than Glastonbury, If you like history go to Wells.

Our family, dog included, all had a wonderful time at the house, garden, pool and surrounding countryside. The house is thoughtfully decorated and furnished to give a home from home experience. The comfort and relaxing experience were echoed in the clean, refreshing swimming pool and garden, enjoyed almost daily thanks to the lovely weather.
With internet access and plenty of television entertainment, we were covered for a rainy day or two. Thank you to our host for her hospitality and shared information of the local area.

Lovely getaway
I loved my stay here. It was absolutely magical, I ended up prolonging it for an additional four days because I quite literally couldn't get enough. Tamsin is a wonderful host and she made me feel absolutely welcome. The house is adorable - it has everything you need and is very clean. I cannot recommend this property high enough. I will most certainly be coming back. <3

Perfect cottage, location and host.
We have stayed at many holiday cottages over the years, this cottage was perfect and was probably the best we have ever stayed in. The host is lovely; obviously cares that you are happy with the accommodation. The cottage has been equipped with everything one could ever need. The pool is well kept. So lovely not to have to share with lots of other people. The photographs do not really show the cottage at its best.

Lovely renovation
Newly renovated property that the photos don't do justice to. Set within a wonderful garden with the owner just next door. We really enjoyed the walking access to Glastonbury Tor and the quiet setting. A real feeling of history but with modern amenities like a fully equipped kitchen and fluffy white towels.

Had a great time at this cottage!
We stayed at the cottage for six weeks and enjoyed the whole time there. Tamsin was great and the cottage was beautiful! All the amenities we're sparkling new or just like new.
The proximity to the Glastonbury Way and other footpaths was fantastic. Went for walks every day!
The gardens at the cottage are so pretty and we used the fresh herbs for cooking. Thanks!

Wonderful property, location and host
We had a fabulous time at Tamsin's property. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard, is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool was a huge hit with our son and the garden full of colour. The location is also superb, just under the Tor, with beautiful views over the Somerset countryside. Tamsin was a kind and helpful host, she was welcoming and full of ideas and connections that made our stay very special. I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing Family Holiday
I stayed here the 1st week of the summer holiday with my husband and 5 year old twins and had an amazing time. The property was lovely and the finishing touches including the welcome gifts exceeded my expectations. Tamsin was really informative about the area and what walks are available straight from the property. My children especially loved the pool which they used in all weathers. Would highly recommend

Absolutely perfect stay
We had the best time staying at Tamsin’s stunning cottage. The pool was fantastic, the extra little touches made us feel super welcome and the garden was stunning. Couldn’t fault our stay at all. We will be returning as it was the perfect spot to visit some great tourist destinations. Longleat and Wooky Hole were only 40 minutes away too so that was perfect.

Beautiful property in an English country garden.
Ideally located for country walks and climbing up to the Tor. Our host allowed us full access to the beautiful garden and pool to suit.
Could do with a bit more storage space in the kitchen for dry foods.
Another armchair too.
Thanks is for a lovely stay.
