It is a homestay. So it was more of a authentic experience. Lovely people in an informal atmosphere. Especially the mornings, gazing at the river were peaceful.
Using the shower meant having a wet bathroom and toilet until it dried out (took about one hour).

Amazing riverside stay, comfortable terrace where tourists can relax, free kayaks, friendly host. Clean rooms and whole area, delicious breakfast with western and Thai food. Mosquito nets on the windows so you can enjoy fresh air

The breakfast is super delicious. At least, if you have an air conditioner room. The room seemed quite new and it perfect condition.
I specifically searched on booking.com for a place along the beach. Unfortunately, the direction of this place is shown wrong in booking.com. It's alongside a river. The beach isn't far away but I was disappointed.
Also, communication was difficult.

the staff running the home stay were absolutely lovely- very helpful and kind. great setting and location on the river, very close (5 min walk) to a lovely beach and close to food and other amenities. we rented a moped through the home stay which helped with getting around the island and was well priced and easy to organise.

I honestly loved this place and would live here if I could. I was only here for three weeks in November but the staff were lovely and genuinly made me feel like family. The breakfasts provided with the standard rooms is simple but perfect. Lots of fresh fruit, toast, cereal, tea, coffee, and sometimes sandwiches or a thai donut type of fried bread. The rooms were basic with only a fan but I had windows on three sides, all looking out onto the mangroves and I could not have been happier with the setup. Louis is the manager of the hotel and is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. I ate guay teow (noodle soup) at the restaurant that her brother and his wife run at the front of the hotel basically every day for lunch and was something I looked forward to every afternoon. The whole family is friendly and kind and took care of me like I was a family member. As this isn't a large hotel everyone is treated like family.
The hotel itself is on the river surrounded by mangroves but is only a 5 min walk to the nearest beach, which is one of the best on the island. The area was pretty quiet while I was there but it was out of season so may get a little busier closer to season. I actually swam from the hotel to the beach one day. Louis provides free kayaks for guests and if you go up the river there is a small set of waterfalls that is completely secluded in the jungle and is fantastic. Louis also recommended a jungle walk where you and a guide go to a waterfall deep in the jungle that was great and I would really recommend it.

Great Breakfast. The accomodation is fairly basic but clean and not too far from the main road going north - south.
The location is incorrectly noted on booking.com by about 1 km. It shows it is close to Ao Noi, which is WRONG. It is actually close to the white beach and the river that leads up to Khlong Chao Waterfall.
very low water pressure for Showering. The walls are simply OSB wooden construction boards painted over with wood protector.

Loved it. Great location, lovely food and friendly staff. Price is great!

Location was pretty good, near one of the main beaches on the island, the free breakfast is just toast, coffee and jam/bananas but does the job! Staff are friendly and helpful and the free kayaks to use as your literally on the mangrove is great!
Unless we were being stupid and didnt see it there was only one of the shared bathrooms that had hot water which isn't a massive deal but abit annoying waiting for someone to finish or you have to have a cold shower!

Quiet location and very sweet staff with many bars, restaurants, several shops and beach within walking distance. Free kayaks available to go paddling in the river and they also hire out motor-scooters. The owner’s mother is a fantastic cook so make sure to sample her dishes at least once.

Good location at the river, free kayaks. Excellent restaurant with delicious lunch soups etc. Friendly staff and good rules to make everyone's stay enjoyable.
There is no roof in the bathrooms. It was good place to stay for two nights before continuing to more private place. 😊
