A house that epitomizes Hawaiian outdoor living: Great Ocean Views, large lanai area covering two sides of the house, private pool and yard, in a quiet gated community close to downtown Kailua Kona. This comfortable and well-appointed 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home is located within Kahakai Estates, a gated community, at the end of cul-de- sac that provides privacy while being convenient to all that Kailua-Kona has to offer.
The 3600 square feet of living space is made up of a main floor living area that has two distinct areas with direct access to the pool. You can have privacy in the reading/lounge area or share with others in the TV great room area which is open to the gourmet, well-stocked kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is great for entertaining with granite countertops, 6-burner gas stove, stainless steel appliances and is stocked with All Clad stainless steel cookware. There is access from the kitchen and dining areas to the back yard that is great for sunning and the outdoor kitchen complete with a grill, sink and refrigerator. There is a main floor junior -primary suite with a king bed and a full bed (great for parent's with young children) with a spacious closet and full bath.
There is a Primary Suite on the upper floor, with a king bed, walk-in closet, soaking tub, separate shower, with access to a large lanai boasting great ocean views. There are two bedrooms, with a “jack and jill” bathroom with dual sinks. The 2nd bedroom has a King Bed and the 3rd bedroom has Two Double Beds. These rooms also have access to the large upper, covered lanai with a wet bar, the perfect place to enjoy a famous Hawaiian sunset.
Throughout the home you will be surrounded by luxury, comfort and technology. The home was professionally furnished, stocked and designed to enhance the experience for every guest. The floors are hardwood throughout the living area's while the bedrooms enjoy the comfort of carpet. There are ceiling fans in every room and along the outdoor area, there is a 2-zone air conditioning system that is available, Wireless Internet, a new 55” LED television in the Family Room and master bedroom and 40” LED Televisions in all other bedrooms, equipped with satellite TV, with DVR's plus Netflix, Hulu, etc.
This property is located in a private community that requires quiet time from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am. If you are planning a luau, large gathering or party – please do not inquire on this property.

Our group had an incredibly memorable stay at this amazing property. The hosts were wonderful, with great communication and top-notch service. The house itself is spacious and beautiful, with everything we could possibly need inside. And the view from the back patio is second to none - gazing out at the ocean from the comfort of the pool never got old.

A wonderful house with a view of lush foliage, the sound of many birds, and an ocean background. The pool and the multiple eating and lounging spaces were ideal for our extended family group ranging from age 10 to age 80. Management is very communicative and very professional.

We had a group of 7 spanning 3 generations. So many fantastic living areas inside and out so no one was tripping over each other. Very peaceful area with beautiful flowers/trees all around and nice ocean view. Had an issue with the upstairs AC and they someone there within 3 hrs of calling to fix it. Can’t get that kind of service at home! Nice welcome gift was waiting and we had everything we needed. If we ever went back to Kona we’d stay here. As it was, my mother-in-law loved the house so much she was more upset about leaving it than the island itself!

Our group of 8 people loved the house. The rooms were all very comfortable with lots of areas to get together or find a place to have a quiet moment. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Our concierge, David, was a big extra bonus. He was extremely helpful in planning our outings so we enjoyed all the Island had to offer.

The home met all of our needs and more. It was spacious with a lot of area for our group of 8 to gather, but also places to have alone time if you needed to get away. The pool was so clean. We highly recommend this property.

Our family spent 12 days over Christmas in this great home. So much space for everyone, private pool, views were phenomenal to wake up to every morning and the location was perfect!

Wow it was awesome! Our family have been visiting the Kona side on the Big island of Hawaii for at least 20 years and this was by far the best due most in part because the home we rented through VRBO. The house was amazing! The kids are still thanking me for finding the home and they want to go back to the same house next time.

8 of us from 3 generations stayed here for a family vacation. It was the perfect layout and furnishings for a large group. We had a great time doing family movie night on the giant sectional, swimming in the pool, and having large family dinners at the indoor and outdoor tables. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for our group as well. Loved the privacy and the view. We made great memories here!

This is an outstanding property, one of the best we have ever rented. It was comfortable, well stocked and spacious. The pool and other outdoor areas were great. There was plenty of room for our group of 8. I would definitely recommend it for a stay on the Big Island.

Wonderful Family Vacation Home!
We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and are so thankful we stayed at this property. The house was large and roomy, giving all us space to spread out, but also giving us room to gather for meals and movies. The pool was perfect for the kids and made lazy days spent at the house fun for everyone. We hope to be back again soon!

Great for two families!
This house has great outdoor amenities, and easily accommodated both families (eight in total). We really enjoyed our mornings drinking coffee and enjoying the views. The pool and jacuzzi were great to play in for all of us and the house is nice and secluded from other neighbor's although we met one below and they were extremely nice and social. The concierge was very informative with any questions we had for excursions and shopping. We would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful home with ocean view!
This was a lovely home for our family to spend the holidays and enjoy the beautiful Kona sunsets. Plenty of room for everyone! Quiet neighborhood and very private. There was a portable high chair, pool toys
and sand toys for our grandchildren. The pool has a landing that is perfect for little children. It also has several refrigerators that came in handy for our holiday meals! One in the garage! We had a problem with the septic system for about 24 hours so that was really difficult for all of us. Not allowed to run water or flush toilets. The Property Manager did their best to get someone out to fix the problem and was in constant contact with me but the plumber arrived at night and he couldn’t fix it. Needed a specialist… they came 1st thing the next morning. They Property Manager sent someone to come clean up the bathroom shower that had backed up and help with the odor. Unfortunately we just happened to be the family staying in the lovely home when there were plumbing issues! Especially complicated because it happened right before Christmas! It was handled professionally but it was a difficult time, especially because we had a baby and a toddler in the middle of potty training! I would certainly rent it again for our family. The Property Managers were very responsive to our needs and David the Concierge was amazing!

Awesome, As Expected
This property was as awesome as expected based upon pictures. There were 6 adults in our group and there was more than enough room for everyone to find their own private place to relax. The pool and plunge pool were well used by our group and the house was furnished very well. We did have an issue with the up-stairs air conditioning, broken fan motor in the unit, which was fixed within hours of our reporting it. This is an exceptional property for an extended family or multiple friend visit.

Perfect Place for Family Vacation
We had a family vacation here and this was the perfect place to reunite. There is ample living space and the bedrooms are spacious. The view is also incredible. We had to get in contact with the property manager a couple times for minor things, and they always responded immediately.

Our family of nine had an amazing time at this house. It was so roomy, everything imaginable that you would need. From kitchenware to pool and beach toys, they have it all. Pool and hot tub was wonderful. Communication with property manager was excellent. Only issue was the A/C was being worked on before we got there, and it wasn’t fixed for our entire stay, 3 nights without AC, but I’m not complaining, everything else made up for it. Such a private property, so much room to roam inside and out. We even got in a few hours early, contacted management, and they let us drop our suitcases inside so that we can go do some shopping. All in all, we were very happy during our stay.

This is a beautiful house with a great pool and view. It’s in a very nice gated community. It has many separate spaces for people to gather. The kitchen was nice and well appointed. We would stay here again.

Perfect for multiple families
This is a great house for multiple families! The pool is wonderful the kitchen is perfect for big dinners. Plenty of outdoor space, lots of amenities! The drive way was a little tricky at night and during the rain. Beds are comfortable, it’s awesome that there was 2 fridges. There was a little issue with running out of hot water, all the time. Everything thing else was wonderful, no view of the sunset because of the landscaping but I guess that’s the trade off.

All the comforts of home with the luxury of an exclusive 5-Star hotel!
It's hard to know where to begin in explaining how fantastic this rental experience was. Our family was eight adults plus one baby, and this house truly had EVERY SINGLE THING we could have possibly needed. PS: It's even more beautiful in person than in photos (and that's saying something!).
Major Highlights:
- Huge dinner tables both inside and outside allowed for us to comfortably eat family meals together every night while enjoying the warm breeze and sounds of nature.
- Upstairs lanai offers beautiful ocean sunset views on super comfortable furniture-- it was a treasured family ritual for all nine of us to gather on the lanai to drink cocktails and watch the sun go down together.
- GREAT pool and hot tub, with a pool waterfall that provides awesome background ambiance while you relax poolside with a mug of Kona coffee. AND there's a pool-floor roomba that keeps the pool clean! We named him Ralphie ;-)
- There is absolutely tons of outdoor and indoor seating-- and fridges and freezers placed strategically throughout the property to offer a cool beverage (or popsicle!) any time you need one!
- Gorgeous decor and high-quality finishes and furnishings throughout the property makes it feel like a luxe resort.
- Incredibly private-- couldn't see or hear anyone else, even though the location is only a 4-minute drive from downtown Kona.
Unexpected Conveniences:
- The property management company (Kona Coast Vacations) was incredibly responsive & helpful. They were available 7 days/week for any questions, and provided a very informative instruction manual for the house upon our arrival.
-David the concierge (provided as part of our rental) was AWESOME at helping us to book adventures (snorkeling with wild spinner dolphins!) as well as relaxation (had a masseuse come to the house to provide massages outside by the pool).
- Fancy kitchen gear-- including gorgeous LeCreuset cookware. A well-stocked kitchen with all needed supplies-- including two coffee makers!
- GREAT Air Conditioning!
Thoughtful touches:
- Weekly pickup for recycling
- Tons of pool and beach accessories- including umbrellas, chairs, kid toys, floaties, etc.
- Baby gear (incl. highchair)
- Towels for both beach and pool for all nine of us
- Dishwasher and laundry detergent, spices, teas, etc.

In summary, this vacation rental absolutely MADE our family's trip to Kona. Would recommend a thousand times over. It was beyond incredible, and we cannot wait to come back.

My family and I had a fantastic stay. The house is close to the beach, local shops and restaurants. So much to do and see.
The property itself is amazing. Tons of space, awesome pool and hot tub. Lots of sliding doors and windows to see out. I highly recommend anyone who plans to visit Kona to stay here.
