About this house rental
Luxurious, custom-designed and built private home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large recreation room in the finished basement downstairs, hand-built furniture and stone fireplace designed by owner, and a magnificent view of the surrounding foothills, pasturelands and Pintlar Mountain Range of the Anaconda-Pintlar Wilderness Area in southwestern Montana.
Ours is a single-level house with vaulted ceilings and a finished basement. There is now a ramp for easy accessibility. Amenities include internet WiFi access, streaming netflixs etc.. TV, an indoor jacuzzi in the master bedroom, air conditioning, a pool table, Foosball table, wood-burning chiminea, propane barbecue, a large yard and sheltered patio area, and plenty of space for parking your RV or trailers.
If you decide to bring your horses, we have a barn and a five acre paddock to help make them comfortable.
With only a five minute drive to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, you can enjoy dining, golf, a relaxing spa day, or take a walk along the Copperway Trail that helps link Butte and Anaconda together in an east-west route through Durant Canyon. Unfortunately only Fairmont guests can use the swimming pools. Thirty minutes from the house, the Mt. Haggin Wildlife Management and Recreation Area offers an abundance of sporting and recreational opportunities, depending on the season, including hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
If your tastes are inclined toward history, you can explore Butte and Anaconda, which, together, form the nation’s largest National Historic Landmark District; or visit the beautifully restored 19th Century buildings and attractions of Philipsburg, or the vintage car museum or the old prison in Deer Lodge less than an hour away. Numerous ghost towns dot the area, and up at the 10,000 foot level of the nearby wilderness area, the crest of the Anaconda-Pintlar Range helps form a small part of the American West’s spine that is the Continental Divide. If you’re lucky, and careful, you might even spot some white-tail deer, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk or perhaps other wildlife while you’re out on a hike or a drive.
Go for a scenic drive past Georgetown Lake, or downhill skiing at Discovery Basin, take a Trolley Tour or one of the guided walking tours of Butte's historic district, visit the Mining Museum, take a drive over Mill Creek Pass, visit the Big Hole Battlefield, enjoy the falls at Lost Creek State Park, get your license and fish one of Montana’s blue ribbon trout rivers or streams, or schedule your visit to coincide with Evel Knievel Days or the Montana Folk Festival.
An abundance of historic and recreational activities await your visit, and so do we. If possible, we’d like to be there when you arrive so we can help you get acquainted with our house. If this is not possible, then please give us a call so we can let you know where the key is.
The attached garage is not available for guests, but there’s plenty of room for parking in the driveway.
Check-in is at 4:00 P.M., and check-out is by 11:00

Enjoyed the property! Spacious and homey.

The views were great and the house was a great size for large family. 6 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of space. The backyard was perfect for kids to run around in and the washer and dryer were so helpful! The kids loved running around and it was a great quick trip to anaconda, Georgetown lake, and butte. Only adjustment we had was the light coming in through the window shades in the am. A secret gem in big sky country!

This house was a excellent choice for us. The main floor was handicap accessible for our son in a wheelchair. The house was also big enough to host family for a get together. The game room downstairs was a hit. The view was beautiful.

We had an amazing time at your beautiful home and we can’t wait to come back next summer for a longer stay. I played the Old Works Golf Course for the first time on Friday September 22nd. The weather cooperated and I can’t wait to come back to play again.

I was worried about finding a spot in Anaconda since I didn't expect many options. But I found this house and it was absolutely perfect! Setting was gorgeous (and convenient for us), so much space, comfy beds and nice kitchen for cooking up a meal to share with our families. We'd absolutely come back!

Originally a stopover a couple of nights returning from vacation with 7 people ranging from 2 to 69. Home and people were fantastic. Would definitely stay again and possibly make it the vacation destination.

The property and location were absolutely perfect - and the views can't be beat. I stayed with family and friends, and there was enough room to all feel like we had our own space but also come together and feel like we're at home. Lisa was an amazing host and my family all talked about going back, same place/same time next year :)

Lodge look home was very warm & inviting. It had several amenities. Some toiletries & condiments were left from other guests, which came in handy. It was located outside of the City in the Country, but near the main HWY… so we used the house as a Hub for site seeing. Very friendly hosts also. Great for Families.

This was our second time staying at the house for a month and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Lisa is a great host and has gone above and beyond even making sure we weren’t stranded in cold weather 😂
Looking forward to a third trip in the next couple years.

The property is not far off the freeway between Butte and Deer Lodge. The location allows easy access to lots of historical landmarks and attractions nearby. The custom bed frame in the master suite is incredible! The well-groomed backyard was tranquil and relaxing, while the rec-room pool table allowed for some friendly family competition. A very nice place to stay.

A Great Montana Experience
Russ and Lisa's beautiful home is truly a gem. We were in Anaconda for my husband's family reunion. As Lisa and Russ advertise, the home is a custom built example of Montana elegance, with beautiful and comfortable decor. The foothills and pastureland viewed from every room are a stunning backdrop to quietly contemplate and enjoy while sipping coffee in the morning as the sun rises or in the evening with a glass of wine (or tea) as the sun sets. The Montana (big) sky is evident all around you, and it is a wonderful place to be when a storm approaches over the hills. The house is spacious, yet warm and cozy and welcoming. We were struck by the way light plays off the interior of every room. Vistas abound from the large picture windows. Great for a family. We had time together in the main part of the house but also had space to be separate when we needed. You will not be disappointed. The house has the feel of being far away from everything but is conveniently located and not far from the highway. And, Lisa and Russ are great hosts. Lisa greeted us the day we arrived, and we always felt welcome to contact her about anything. It was truly a great Montana experience for our family. Julia and Joe Ridge

This place is amazing!
This house was great for our situation! The owner was great and gave the space we needed for time with the family. The place was clean and really just overall an amazing space! Plenty of room for our dogs to run in the back pasture and more than enough space for the whole family to spread out and have fun.

Comfortable Home
Cozy and warm home for our winter getaway with plenty of space for all. We chose the home because of the closeness to fairmont hotsprings.. Unfortunately , Fairmont was not letting in outside guests. We were disappointed, but everything turned out just fine. The xc skiing was close and snow was great and the rest of the time we spent playing games, pool, and putting a puzzle together.
