About this cottage rental
This is a 3 bedroom seaside cottage it has 2 full baths and 1 half bath, it has all the amenities but is located in a remote setting where you can rest, relax and rejuvenate. A great place to escape from reality where you can sit and relax on the shore in front of the cottage and watch the lobster boats hauling their traps or take a walk along the beach searching for shells and sea glass. The evening sky is great for star gazing or build a fire on the rocks and toast some marshmallows. We are only 6 miles to the entrance to the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, and the ferry service to Bar Harbor

This house is just perfect!!! The location is great for a day trip to Acadia while being tucked away in a small fishing community with lots to do. Being steps away from the beach was nice for our daughter to go swim while we looked for sea glass. The house looks exactly as pictured and is decorated so nicely!

Enjoyed watching the tide go in and out and the lobster boats go by. Beds super comfy. Next level clean. If ever in the area would for sure stay here again!

Just spent almost 3 weeks in this delightful cottage. We have rented a lot of VRBo’s, and this is one of our most favorite. The village of Corea is only a 2 mile walk from the cottage and Lunch on the Wharf is very good. The cottage location can’t be beat. The view is fabulous. We enjoyed watching the tides goes in and out. We were able to walk to Inner Bar Island on the sand bar during low tide. The cottage itself is so clean and comfortable and has everything we needed. The owner, Melissa, is very prompt to answer any questions. We are hoping to return next year. Definitely a little slice of heaven!!!

Little bit of heaven in Maine!
Shhh, don't tell anyone, we want it all to ourselves," is what my family said! We loved this property for the natural beauty and solitude. The beach is just steps out the door and takes your breath away. Melissa and Dan are wonderful hosts and made our stay just delightful. We'll be back for sure!

Family Maine Getaway
This was our first family trip to Maine. Staying at Easterly II was the highlight for our family, and we plan to be back again next year. Melissa and Daniel are fantastic hosts and the cottage is simply stunning. I enjoyed every moment at the cottage and on the beach. It is a perfect location for a nice retreat with easy access to fresh lobsters and local attractions. I especially love the view from the cottage- breathtaking. Counting down until our next trip!

The Cottage Coastal Maine Dreams are Made of
This cottage is truly magical. Situated cozily right on the ocean, without a home in sight one feels as though she has the ocean all to herself.
The cottage itself is adorable and very clean. Our family which consists of two young children loved being able to comb the beach daily for treasures. The weather while we visited Maine was very rainy but that didn't put a damper on our stay. We loved watching the ocean and burning the cozy fire.
Bar Harbor and the main Acadia entrance is about an hour away and the Schoodic entrance of Acadia is 20 minutes away. A small grocery store was a short 20 minutes away.
We loved walking to the Corea Co-op to buy the lobsters directly off the boat - the lobster doesn't get much better than that. We also loved watching the lobster boats drive daily right past the cottage.
This cottage - with its amazing views - is truly a gem!

Really relaxing stay. Very comfortable cottage right on a long stretch of beautiful Maine beach. Lots of rocks to climb and plenty of sandy areas, too. Highly recommended.

Always Beautiful
The perfect spot - it’s always beautiful. We love the cottage and the proximity to the ocean. If we don’t buy our own cottage (that’s the plan) by next year, we’ll be back!

Paradise
This is our second time staying at Corea Cottages. The property is phenomenal with wonderful ocean and island views, and practically unknown beach that feels like your own private paradise. The house is well cared for and we found it to be stocked with everything we needed. We will have no hesitation in booking with Dan and Melissa again!

The ocean is just steps away. The view is divine .
This cottage is quaint, cozy and very comfortable. It is located in the perfect location to easily travel to interesting places , be it North, South, East or West. Fresh dug steamer clams and newly caught lobster are for sale 'just down the road' . An organic farm and many fine places to eat are nearby. What's not to love? Scrounging for treasures on the beach is a few steps from the large deck. Leaving for home was not an easy thing to do.

We just wrapped up our stay at Easterly II with three kids and a dog - this is a fantastic cabin, well stocked with kids books, games, and movies. The views alone are amazing but the opportunities for adventures, hiking, and exploring the beautiful beach and tide pools make this property a very special place for anyone, but particularly a family.

Beautiful and peaceful
My husband and I enjoyed every single part of this trip. The house is well stocked and comfortable. The views from the house are gorgeous. We had so much fun exploring the islands behind the house at low tide and watching the sun set and rise over the ocean. Corea was a beautiful town and the views from Acadia National Park were breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a better trip or better hosts.

Beautiful cottage with absolutely breathtaking views. Perfection at it's finest!
It's hard to know where to start - the cottage is beautiful, fully equipped with everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy both inside and out. The deck is amazing with a view of the rocky shore, refreshing ocean and surrounding islands, etc. We were able to walk across the sandbar at low tide to the island and gather shells and driftwood, unbelieveable! There is a working lighthouse in the distance and many more within a short ride. The house was ready early so we were able to check in earlier than expected which was awesome! I knew when we walked in the door we would not want to leave. We spent as much time possible at the cottage and on the beach, although we did venture out to a couple local restaurants for lobster and all the goodies! Also be sure to visit the local parks - Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor and Schoodic Point in Winter Harbor offer exceptional views of the ocean and it's power. We saw whales off the coast near Cadillac Mountain and were amazed by the starfish in the ponds on the rocks waiting for high tide. When it was time to leave, we were sad and jealous of the ones that would come after us, but only until we can return again - and we will return again! Do not hesitate to book this cottage, you will not be disappointed but rather mesmerized by the sights and sounds that can only be found there, in Corea, ME. Thank you to Dan and Melissa for offering so many the opportunity to experience perfection at it's finest!

Outstanding property and location. Very private and peaceful. Very well equipped.
My wife and I stayed three nights at this property in early September,, but definitely wish it would have been available for more. The house is pretty remote which was absolutely perfect! Very private with no neighbors in sight. The home was very well equipped and decorated very tastefully. Only steps from the back deck to a beautiful granite beach. Spent each morning on the deck with a cup of coffee listening to the waves gently crash on to the rocky shore. If you want a peaceful relaxing get away, this is definitely the place. I would recommend not planning too many activities away from the house, because you won't want to leave. You can easily pick up groceries and supplies in Ellsworth or even the IGA in Winter Harbor which is very close. We typically never go to the same vacation spot twice, but we would definitely go back and stay at this cottage. Many thanks to the owners for working with us on dates and opening up their vacation home for others to enjoy.

The Best of the Very Best Oceanside Getaway!
This place is the very best ocean-side getaway! I am a very picky person as far as getaways go; cleanliness of the property, closeness to the ocean, peacefulness, etc. Couldn't have found a better place to meet that criteria. The views from the cottage and deck (just loved the deck so much) were absolutely breathtaking, lobster boats were fun to watch and hear, an eagle flying over the deck once in a while was neat, deer were fun to see, and being able to walk out to an island (during low tide) was priceless, and lobster was available just about everywhere (you cook it or they cook it). Loved absolutely everything about this cottage, even the wonderful hand soaps, lotions and colorful decor. Spent one day at Acadia and Cadillac Mountain, just awesome but the best of it all was being at the cottage itself and enjoying all the peace, sounds and ocean. It was a little distance to get here but it sure was worth it. Wouldn't hesitate making this trip again. Dan and Melissa, thank you so much for making our stay the very best! Hope your trip to Prince Edward Island was everything you expected and more. I'm sure we'll definitely get to see you again soon.

Best Ocean Vacation Ever!!!
The internet pictures here on VRBO do not do this place justice. The location is spectacular, directly on a gorgeous and mostly private beach. If you want a boring beach that is merely a stretch of sand, this is not the place for you. This place still has soft, sandy areas to lounge or wade in, but there are even more pebble-beach areas where you can hunt for shells, sand dollars and hermit crabs, and there are larger rocks you can climb across, including an island or two with even bigger rocks that you can easily walk to at low tide. In short, this spot has it all! You can make a bonfire on the rocks, although we were so busy going hiking we didn't even have time to do this. The cottage is well stocked with pre-cut firewood and also has the perfect huge fireplace, if you have some rainy or colder weather. While sitting in the comfy furniture on the back deck, or grilling on the grill out there, you can look straight out at the ocean and surrounding islands. The views are absolutely gorgeous everywhere. Kids can play in the large, flat yard, surrounded by lovely flowering bushes, wildflowers, and forested area. My husband saw seals swimming out in the bay, and one morning I had that "being watched" sensation and looked out at the trees to find a doe watching me brush teeth. Inside the cottage is decorated perfectly for a beach/ocean home - every room has cute things, and they have supplied some very interesting books about the history of the area and the lobster fishing, which we read on the one rainy day. The kitchen is well equipped, including of course everything you need to boil and eat a lobster. There is one bedroom with two small twin beds, which were perfect for our younger kids, and this room also contains the washer/dryer and is closest to the larger bathroom with bathtub. Across from their room is a good room for adults with larger bed and its own private half bath. So it's a convenient set-up for traveling with kids. The loft upstairs has one twin and one full bed - I wouldn't put very small kids up there alone, as the stairs are open with outer handrail, but this is perfect for older kids. There is good, solid wifi access. The owners have provided all sorts of things like laundry detergent, fancy soap and shampoos from a great local company, and so on. You don't have to bring much; it is more like a hotel than a rental cabin in that respect. Terrific restaurants, shops, and hiking are all nearby, but you might not want to leave, ever

Ocean decorations throughout house really get you in the spirit
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at Easterly II, although our stay was MUCH too short. The master bedroom upstairs is in a loft-type area, providing plenty of privacy for parents needing a break from the kids, and had a 1/2 bathroom, queen bed, and daybed. Downstairs were 2 bedrooms, one with an attached 1/2 bathroom, and a full bathroom with a combined tub/shower. Altogether, there were 2 queen beds, a daybed, and 2 twin beds as well as several inflatable mattresses to use on ample floor space in the loft. The kitchen opened out into the dining room, and there were spectacular ocean views from the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The dining table sat 6, and the living room had a couch and several arm chairs, providing plenty of space to enjoy the chest full of games as a family. Outside, there was lawn space with room for a game of horseshoes, frisbee, or catch. The house was very private. We never heard or saw our neighbors except one time at the beach when 2 people explored the sand bar during the low tide at the same time we did. The beach was awesome! The islands calmed the ocean so we could wade in the water, but the cold kept us from swimming. The ocean was no more 50 feet from the house! We spent hours looking for crabs in the seaweed and searching for the prettiest shells among the piles covering the beach. My favorite thing was having a campfire with s'mores on the rocks at the beach. At low tide, we walked through ankle-deep water to a nearby island and frolicked on the granite rocks covering its perimeter. The house had everything we needed to cook meals. It was fully stocked with towels and linens. The owners were an absolute pleasure to work with and impressively responsive. We ran into one snag on our arrival, but the owners fixed the issue before our kids were even awake the next day and brought us live lobsters to apologize for the very minor inconvenience. Thank you! Cooking up the lobsters was an experience in itself, and the meal was probably the best of our vacation. One warning is that the water, although safe, isn't the tastiest, so you might want to bring drinking water. The owners were very generous and provided enough water to get us through the first day and a half until we were able to get to a store. There isn't much grocery shopping within an hour of the house, so you might want to do your shopping before you arrive. For us, the house was perfect, and we'd love to stay again!
