My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Lone Pine Cottage. The house and property are very clean and provide a great place to get away. I would highly recommend the Lone Pine Cottage to others looking for a beautiful place to stay on the coast of Maine!

We loved our stay at Lone Pine. The house was perfect for our family and we all enjoyed sitting outside and watching the tide go in and out. It was the perfect location for day trips to Acadia and Campobello island.

We loved our stay on Gouldsboro Bay! The home and yard were perfect for our family of 6. The home was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. The area has so much to offer! We would recommend to anyone and we hope to be back!

We loved every minute of our stay. The home is beautiful, the view stunning, and the scent of Christmas trees so refreshing! My grandchildren loved exploring the beach and we loved having our coffee on the back deck. It is a memorable place and we were sad to leave.

We spent a week enjoying this amazing oceanfront cottage, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. No detail was overlooked, the cottage is immaculate, the grounds are well cared for and the views are spectacular. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need to create fabulous meals, we cooked in most nights having spent our days exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. We even picked up a couple of live lobsters and put the lobster pot to use, yum!
Communication with the property manager was a breeze, on the couple of occasions that we had to engage during our stay.
We have had the opportunity to stay in a number of rental properties and this one tops the list! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Cannot recommend Lone Pine cottage more, and hope to one day return.

Had an absolutely wonderful time! The place was amazing and everything was provided. My sister, six neices and I had a very relaxing weekend. Beds were very comfortable and the view was unbelievable. We would rate it a 10 plus looking forward to coming back next year. đź’•

Easy access, one-floor living, lovely deck looking over large front lawn with stairs down to a wonderful beach. Some-mores over the firepit, grilling on the deck, lots of games (cornhole, chess, board games etc.), nice fleece blankets in the living room, fully stocked pantry! Kitchen works well. Private location. Master suite at one end of the house, with two bedrooms and a bath at the other end. We couldn't have asked for more. And Ashley, the host, was really communicative and helpful. A+++ all around in our book, thank you!

Came with friends to relax, see the fall foliage and enjoy all that Maine has to offer. The house was perfect! Everything was upscale…..bed linen, dish ware, patio furniture! Great location for visiting Acadia National Park, lobstering excursions and very good restaurants. I noticed a previous comment about the internet connection; we were a party of three at times and streamed movies, searched the internet and Zoomed all at the same time without any problem. We will definitely be coming back!

Very well kept property! really beautiful! The deck, outdoors and private beach were really special! The only issue was that the wifi connection is not great! But I still gave a full 5 because my family really loved the property!

Loved the place. Exactly as advertised and a a great place to explore winter harbor, bar harbor and the park itself (even if it’s a little bit of a drive from the entrance). Highly recommend for groups :)

Loved our time in Gouldsboro. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Very clean, well-stocked kitchen and plenty of places to sit and relax. Gouldsboro was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. We explored the Schoodic peninsula of Acadia NP and kayaked on Jones Pond nearby- highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay - the house is beautiful and the deck and backyard are spectacular. We enjoyed the water view and stars on a clear night. The location is truly remote, the closest major grocery store is about 45 minutes away so plan for that.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay on Gouldsboro Point. The property is gorgeous with a private beach which we walked a few times a day. The deck was very spacious to sit out on and relax in the sun enjoying the ocean breeze and views. The rooms in the house are very large. The large windows provide an incredible view of the ocean from the living room and kitchen areas. I would highly recommend this location - we are very happy we found it!

Aside from the very clean and comfortable accommodations, the overall property was terrific and the view was outstanding. Everywhere we turned was worthy of a photograph!! And, the location was perfect to access all the great things this part of Downeast has to offer. We were 10 to 60 minutes to wineries, Acadia National Park, concert venues, wonderful restaurants, shopping for gifts from local artisans and so many other things we enjoyed during our stay. Everyone in our family found their own special places providing memorable experiences and often opportunities to bring home treasures. We will come again!!!!

This house is a true gem. The pictures don't do it justice. The privacy is unmatched, and the backyard and direct access to the beach is something that's so hard to find. The house itself was clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed the back deck and letting the breeze in through the big screen doors during the day. We'd definitely be back.

We liked the property and it was very well equipped. We were frustrated to find there was no tv. I relooked at the description and didn’t see that mentioned. We like the news in the morning and a good football game while relaxing. With that added it would have been perfect. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and have always had TV.

It's really secluded and quite which is nice but it's about 25 miles to the nearest town for Food so come prepared .

This property was a wonderful find. It easily fit the seven of us and was well stocked with the necessities to cook and sleep. So many windows that flaunt the beautiful open bay and make for an amazing morning with a cup of coffee. A great stay for a family or small group of people!

Gorgeous home away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. Peaceful, calm and inviting space and view. Woke up to the soft sounds of wind chimes and the warm sun beaming through the floor to ceiling windows. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Completely spotless and well maintained. Had our morning coffee on the massive deck overlooking the ocean and walked the beach looking for seaglass. The property managers answered any questions we had and were very helpful and kind. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends!

Beautiful house set right on the water about an hour North of Bar Harbor. My family (my wife and I (early 50's), in-laws (mid 70's), and our son (upper 20's) stayed at the house and it had something for all of us. My in-laws loved the ADA-friendliness of the house. My wife and I enjoyed the views and relaxing atmosphere of the location. Our son enjoyed the ability to get to Acadia and camping locations.
The house was very well stocked. The kitchen had everything you could expect from a rental. There were multiple binoculars for viewing wildlife and even a cornhole game for fun. The beds were very comfortable.
Ashley was a wonderful host. She was immediately responsive to any question we had. Everything was terrific with our stay. We all contemplated visiting again next year!

We had a lovely time here at Lone Pine in Gouldsboro! The house itself was nice and clean, with comfy beds and an incredibly well-stocked kitchen (there’s a whole drawer just for lobster utensils!). You can tell the owners are working to continually improve the space too, as little upgrades had been made between the listing photos at the time of booking and our arrival. The property’s little beach is quite private but my favorite part was the wall of windows along the entire back of the house that allowed us to take in the ocean views at all times.
If you’re trying to escape Acadia’s insane crowds and and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature like us, this is the place. The drive to Bar Harbor was only about an hour (there’s a nearby ferry that can bring you there as well) and we enjoyed a day trip to MDI without a problem, but it definitely made us appreciate the solitude of Gouldsboro and Lone Pine itself. Acadia’s lesser-known Schoodic peninsula is less than 30 minutes away, and is way less crowded and noisy than the main part of the park. We were able to bike around the Schoodic loop road without worrying about traffic, and got to enjoy tide pools and breathtaking views of MDI with a degree of privacy virtually impossible on the island. We also saw bald eagles, a harbor seal, and a white-sided dolphin right from the property!! One thing to note is that Gouldsboro does not have many food options, so I would recommend stocking up on groceries in Ellsworth before arriving, but we easily supplemented our food for the rest of the week from a local organic farm nearby in addition to exploring local restaurant options in Winter Harbor (The Gallery was delicious!). Also, my GPS told me we had arrived one or two houses before the right one, but the house numbers are clearly marked and you’ll see the Lone Pine sign on the correct driveway.
Overall I’m very glad we took a chance on this place, and would love to come back next time we’re on vacation up here :)
