Very comfortable stay. The rental had almost everything we needed for kitchen/bathroom use. The hot tub was the best part. Very quiet neighborhood and very close to a playground.
There was a large dumpster on the property which attracted bears while we stayed there. They came every single night to feed off the left over trash that was left in the dumpster from the previous person. Just something to keep in mind if you have little ones or animals staying with you or if you are a smoker

The Franconia location was very convenient to all the best that the White Mountains has to offer and the walkability to town and hiking was great. Owner responsiveness was timely and greatly appreciated. Very good value for our whole family and would stay again!

We loved this apartment and the hot tub was a major bonus! We had a couple toddlers with us and they loved the playground that was just around the corner. Would definitely stay here again.
The only challenge was the checkout process. They make you run the dishwasher, put away the dishes, run all the towels through the wash, and put them in the dryer, all before a 10:00 AM checkout. This was pretty difficult to accommodate.

Awesome place! Hot tub is a plus and even netter if you’re in the first floor!
Need more towels if you’re in a big group (8people) if you intent to use the hot tub. Nicole is super friendly and answer all my questions right the way!
Thanks!

Felt like it could have slept a ton more people, but it was just us and our golden retriever for most of the time.
Internet was good, cable was basic, hot tub was fantastic. Both my husband and I enjoyed soaking away the aches and pains. Great spot, not super fancy, but it was more than adequate and we’re happy with our experience.

New Hampshire get-a-way
Nice accommodations plenty of room for more people than we had. Within short driving distance of many areas of interest. Mountain excursions and train rides are plentiful in the area. If you are visiting the area, this is a great place to stay.

Good stay in a great location
We had a really nice stay in this property. There was plenty to do within a quick drive. Some things to note: this location doesn’t have a full length mirror, which isn’t a big deal but would have been nice to have when getting ready for a wedding! The property is also shared with a few other listings. Also totally not a problem, just a surprise! Overall we had a great time.

Felt like home!
This vacation home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay but I would never book with them EVER AGAIN BECAUSE OF ALL OF THEIR FEES. Beware of the large security deposit, linen fee, cleaning fee, and then an additional insurance policy after you book with them. Completely ridiculous.

New Hampshire get away
It was a great house . We were able to rent the first 2 floors which was great for our big family to split up and still be together. They have separate entrances for both floors which gave us a little more privacy that I liked. The jacuzzi was clean and fun. It was very clean and had some spices in the cabinet which was a plus. Its in a nice little town with a park right around the corner for the kids which was great. But all the big stores are off the highway but its very close only a couple of exits. There's a great little market and deli about 1 minute from the house that has a lot of food and supplies if needed . Pre-made sandwiches and cooked hot meals each day . We went to storyland , Santa's village and Clark's trading post and had so much fun.The fireplace was also great ..We roasted marshmallows and made smores for our last night .. we had a great time in the house and there was enough parking for 5 cars in the driveway . Its a nice quiet little street with friendly nice neighbors..We enjoyed our stay..

Recharge
We needed to rest and recharge in the middle of our 10 day motorcycle camping trip (NEBDR). Beds, shower, and laundry. Although we were there a short time, it was exactly what was needed.

Convenient little condo near Cannon Mountain
The property is the perfect little retreat after a day on the mountain. We were able to walk our dogs in the near by park. The hot tub was clean, kitchen was stocked with the essentials for cooking. We you definitely return to this property.

House not cleaned upon arrival
We arrived at the house around 7:00 to find that the house had not been cleaned from the previous guests. With young children that needed to go to bed, this was not an ideal situation. I was able to get ahold of the property owner after two phone call attempts and she was able to get someone over to the house within a half hour to change the bedding and partially clean the house. We appreciated that someone was able to partially clean the house immediately but the whole ordeal was very inconvenient.
Some of the amenities listed were also not completely accurate. It was listed that the house had AC. This consisted of a tiny window unit in the living room that was covered by a couch. The size of the AC unit would be sufficient for a small bedroom, not an open concept home with 3 bedrooms. We stayed at this house on some of the hottest days of the year, which left us scrambling for box fans throughout the bedrooms so we could try to sleep comfortably. We tried to put the fans in the windows for optimal coolness but several of the bedroom windows had holes in the screen which caused insect to get inside. The house also stated that it was stalked with basic condiments. There was not a single item in the refrigerator or cupboards. We had to inconveniently run to the store in the morning for cooking oil to make breakfast. This is something I would’ve brought with me but did not think I needed to. We were given a very small credit for the inconvenience of the house not being cleaned upon arrival, nowhere near enough to make me want to rent from these property owners again.

July 2019
Overall satisfactory. Property is listed as having air conditioning which consisted of one small window unit tucked behind the couch. There were plenty of fans but house was uncomfortably warm in July.

Bad experience with Home Away and Homeowners
I rented 2 floors from the owner, Upon arrival I was given code to first floor and second floor was open. We had a complaint we were loud first night after an email I assured would not happen again Homeowner proceeds to tell me we have new people coming in to Saturday on second floor. I have texts that he rented me BOTH floors. We had to leave the second floor after receiving threatening calls and texts from homeowner. He said it was a misunderstanding. We cleaned the entire second floor professionally and he charged me a cleaning fee when the cleaning lady showed up and only was on the second floor for 20 min. I sent him photos of the 2nd floor clean and spotless when we evacuated. He also said I had more guests then accounted for staying the night. We did not. I told him we were preparing for a wedding and the girls came over for the afternoon to bake items for the candy table. He proceeded to charge me without proof. I guess you cannot have company?? When I spoke to Home Away they told me to ignore the bill and they could not get my credit card company but the Homeowners did proceed to keep my security deposit for no reason. Several phone calls and emails to Home Away and they say to go through the homeowners for money back and to figure out solution. Patrick was rude and threatening and Nicole ignored all responses to her request for money. I sent proof of texts from Patrick saying I rented 2 rooms and proof through Home Away on exactly what I rented. I would never rent from this site again and certainly not from the homeowners in question. I have rented plenty of houses in the past and this was the worst experience I have ever experienced.

Comfortable Stay
Very comfortable cabin with a large kitchen/eating area and it is pretty well stocked with essentials. There are three bedrooms, so you can easily accommodate a mid-sized group of people. The deck next to the Jacuzzi is awesome and private for relaxing after a long day or coffee early in the morning. The backyard is large and there is off-street parking. Owners answered all questions and were nice. I would visit this location again.

mold and fire
The hot tub smelled of mildew and had mold around the entire top edge. The water level was also low. It is apparently that noone looked at or cleaned it prior to our arrival. I real disappointment because I was looking forward to it, but was unable to enjoy it
The grill had also not been clean in a long time, there was so much greasy buildup that it caught fire causing large flames. We use a grill regularly at home, so we handled it and there was no damage caused. But if someone less experienced had been using the grill that it would have been extremely dangerous.
the size of the place and the proximity to the state and national parks are what earned the 2 stars.
