Amazing New England style inn. There are no frills but thats what makes it. Nice lounge, didn't try the dining, but drinks were good. Great location for a fall tour of the area.

Nice Inn

Quaint old inn in the heart of Franconia Notch area. Location could not have been better! Comfortable sitting areas throughout the main floor.
Comfortable bed but bathroom could use some work. Original shower head didn’t work and moveable shower head was difficult to adjust for height.
Everything just seemed a little worn in need of some TLC.
At check in, staff made a big deal about the fact that I booked through Expedia. The tone made me feel a little unwelcome.
Asked for recommendations on hiking trails (I had already done research online but was looking for some local insight). They simply handed me a copy of a page available on the hotel website.
Our 2nd night, we decided to have dinner at the pub downstairs. There was a small event upstairs in the breakfast dining area. Apparently, they did not have adequate staff to accommodate both an event and diners in the pub. We ordered 2 burgers and a cup of soup. The soup came out immediately but then we waited more than an hour for the burgers. The burgers were cold, appeared to have been reheated, and they forgot the bacon on one burger. They comped us for one burger and offered us a free dessert but we didn’t want to wait another hour! If you didn’t have staff, should have closed the pub or not agreed to the event.
Continental breakfast without any hot food all three mornings. Presentation was nice but quality and options were what I’d expect at a chain hotel. Breakfast started at 7:30 (very late for hiking)

Very cosy and charming hotel nestled in the woods, a nice antidote to chain hotels. Lovely vibe but could use a refresh in the basement area. Beautiful porch and grounds. Friendly staff and the horses are fun to see. Comfortable beds however I found the air conditioning to be on the loud side. We loved staying here.

We were only there for a quuck overnight but the space was very clean and suited our needs perfectly. The inn is very peaceful and comfortable.

Charming, great service, fireplaces restaurant. Noise level high on room level w young kids. Limited snow meant limited skiing on bac trails.

I loved so much about the hotel. The one negative is there wasn't a TV in the room. I need TV on to sleep so I didn't sleep well but everyone was so nice.

A very nice stay in a classy hotel. The restaurant was a bit overwhelmed when we were there but they still managed to feed us a good meal. Neat hotel!

My third stay at the Inn with my 2 grown daughters and my sister. The Inn is very comfortable is in a beautiful setting. It's very close to many local attractions and a quick drive away from the sweet town of Littleton. The restaurant and pub have excellent food and nice cocktails. I highly recommend!!

I want to especially give 5 stars to Jay, who took such great care of us for breakfast today. Inspite of being the lone server in the dining room, he efficiently and warmly
provided our breakfast. He was so kind, inspite of having his hands full. Gave me a very generous helping of fresh fruit to for my French toast with real maple syrup! Thank you Jay! You rock!

Great place for activity, mountain bike trails, riding stables, tennis courts and glider port essentially on property. Franconia Notch State Park down the road. Also a great place to chill.. pool, hottub, downstairs lounge w/ pub and restaurant open most nights.

Just a relaxing place to stay indeed. Pub downstairs with great food and then leads out back for a pleasant walk on the grounds.
Old cemetery across the street for some great reading as well as head stone art from back in the day.
Gliders taking off and landing all day was some great watching on the front porch. Horse back riding will take part next time out as well as your tennis courts!!
Great stay for us and hopefully be back soon..

Pros: great landscape, lovely entrance, courteous staff, breakfast was good.
Cons; carpeting in rooms, spider webs and spiders in the room, poor ventilation in bathroom and room. Musty smell, slow drain in bathroom,
Bubbling paint on ceiling suggests water damage, and tub needs a reface or better yet replacement.

Charming New England inn. Everything you can think of- chairs on the front porch-restaurant, bar, pool, bikes, horses, xcountry skiing, tennis-24 hour coffee

Beautiful place! Lots of hiking around the area and Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch SP was super close!

Lovely place to stay. Area around the inn is stunning. The inn itself is classic New England. Woody paneling, big stone hearth, cozy spots to lounge. Food was great.

Historic inn in a beautiful location. The staff and owner were efficient, friendly and helpful in giving information about what to see in leaf season. Just sitting on their porch with a view of the mtns was a treat.

We stayed at the Franconia Inn in mid-November and it was a perfect stay! This area is very rural and the inn offers one of the only restaurants in the region, which made meals very easy. Thank you for offering take out to our room!! Our room itself was adorable, not at all a stuffy B&B, and it was relaxing hanging out by the multiple fireplaces and in the game room. The property is gorgeous and you feel a million miles away while still being in the center of everything. Will be back again!

I booked this hotel as our trip splurge since I paid over $200 for one night, but we were very disappointed in our stay here. First of all, the picture on hotels.com makes it look like you will have a beautiful mountain view behind the inn and be out in the country. Instead, we were right off a highway and our room faced the highway with traffic noise starting in the wee hours. Also the floors creaked badly so we could hear every sound coming from the room above us. We had looked forward to eating a nice meal in the dining room, but it was closed with no advance notice that it would be due to "end of the season". The pub had a very limited menu, so we had to drive 25 minutes to town to get dinner. For the price, you would think breakfast would be included but it was not. The hair dryer was broken, the wifi didn't work, no one answered the front desk to help us figure out how to operate the antiquated heater, the room was advertised as spacious but was the size of a small hotel room. I typically never post a negative review, but I wish someone would have given me a heads up before I booked this inn.

Old fashioned but not antiquy and pretentious. Very comfortable. Onsite dining. Staff was very nice.

I was quite disappointed to learn the pub and dining was closed for 1 of our two nights there.
1.5
The hotel was very run down. The wallpaper was falling off the wall, the shower head hissed and sprayed mist, the service at the pub and in the dining room for breakfast was slow (it was obvious they were understaffed). It was sad looking.

We had breakfast and dinner twice during our stay and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was dated but bed and pillows were very comfortable.
2.5
Charming country inn. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant and pub. Lots of good hiking nearby

I like the old New England charm. I didn’t like the fact that we asked for a queen bed and got a full. Also, the rooms were VERY small
