About this house rental
Nestled at the base of Bois Mountain in Northern New Hampshire, our shingle style house has a commanding view of a spectacular mountain range. Originally built in the 1800s as part of the mountain resort community as a retreat from formal city living, this grand house is one of the few historic buildings left from that era. With 150 acres, Boismont offers land on which to hike and cross country ski. It is also within 30 minutes of major ski areas (Cannon, Wildcat, Attitash) as well as cross-country areas (Great Glenn Trails in Pinkham Notch, Mt. Washington Hotel). It is an ideal location for weddings, business retreats, and gatherings of family and friends.
The property includes enough bedrooms to fit the extended family or group. It also has a large living room with a fireplace, a screened-in porch, tennis court, swimming hole, barbecue, and laundry facilities. We also have a new electric car charger for those guests with electric cars!

We spent maybe our best experience in the Carter's house. We were 4 families with kids and it was more than enough big to enjoy the quiet, sturdy to not always prevent children from touching things and delightful to give a good spirit to the week end. I highly recommend for family gathering. I was especially surprised to notice how much it was clean for an old house. Landlords are very nice and chilly regarding our stay. The location is also great, with a wonderful view on Mont Washington. Thank you very much!!!

This beautiful property was the center of our family reunion for the past 3 days. With some of us staying down the road at a nearby motel, we totaled 29 people (plus 2 very little ones) enjoying the comfort and spaciousness of this amazing home. The games building saw some friendly pool and ping-pong games and the many seating areas inside and on the wide verandas were perfect for socializing and meals. Apart from the sometimes noisy traffic, it was perfect in every way. Thank you!

This property was beautiful and had ample room for our group of friends. House was very well stocked with kitchen supplies.

Exactly what we hoped it would be….clean, spacious, obviously cared for with pride and love. We were a party of twenty including 10 grandkids aged 1-11….joyous chaos from the owners’ private pond through Santa’s Village! We’ve done a few of these week long gatherings and Jefferson property by far is the best

The house is a great place to gather a large group. With eleven bedrooms, we were able to fit all of our friends in one home. Debbie was great at communicating about the house and it was a fun space to relax and use as a home base to explore the local area, which is full of waterfalls and beautiful mountains. The property is also huge, with lots of outdoor space to explore. We hope to return sometime soon for a ski trip!

Great place - tons of space & spaces, a lot of character, views, hiking nearby, and great hosts!

We stayed for a short family gathering. Everything was exactly as described. The host Debbie was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this house for other large families or groups.

A very memorable weekend with friends and their families. We were a big group of 6 families including many teenagers. We had a blast!! Very well maintained and kept house. The owner is very responsive and good. So is the custodian! Great stay! One small improvement suggestion is to have a fire-pit near the house rather than on the other side of the road.
Would love to go back there again !

Perfect property for our bridal party. We all loved we were in the same house-made bathrooms to get ready as well as sinks in the room. Old home charm is what I love and this house had it. My dads in construction and he loved looking at all this house had in it as well as my uncles also in the trades. Perfect location for our wedding as well.

We enjoy the stay. A lot of rooms for our large group. A small sugeetsion, if they can have a firepit close by instead of on the other side of the road, there will be perfect.

This was our best stay in nh so far, (we visit often the white Mountains). The hous is huge, clean, welcoming, lots lots of space for every one, the property is beautiful, it was all we asked for and more, if you looking for a place to get a reunion or big family gathering this is the perfect place for you, the owner debbie was very kind, and very eizi to communicate with. Thanks carters for the opportunity you gave us to enjoy your piss of haven in the white Mountains.

We packed 19 people aged 14-86 into this wonderful, stately home for a family reunion, and to celebrate our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. Everything about this house and the grounds worked well for us. There is more than ample space, and we were able to spread out as needed, yet all fit around the dining room table for evening meals. The house is a comfortable, inviting mix of informality and formality - mostly the former, but with an eclectic collection of early-mid 1900s furniture and fixtures. Many of the bedrooms have their own sink and small wash area! It is definitely a step back in time - the sense of family history and multi-generational love for this home is palpable, and we all relished that. We spent a lot of time outside on the open front porch and screened side porch. The front lawn is large and hosted several lively family games. Most of us hiked the easy 1/2 mile trail (or so) up to the ledges above the house - a worthwhile outing. The pond was wonderful, although only a few us swam. The caretakers next door were very down-to-earth, friendly and helpful - they clearly care a great deal about the property and family. The house was clean when we arrived, the kitchen is well-equipped, and everything is well-ordered. The only down side to this special place, but one which doesn't detract much at all, is the fairly heavy traffic on Route 2. Many trucks ramble by at all hours, but one becomes used to and can mostly ignore it. Our entire extended family, from youngest to oldest, loved our 3-day experience and would return without hesitation!
