About this cottage rental

THE BEST VIEWS IN THE AREA, GUARANTEED!! This property is located on the gateway to Mount Marcy, the High Peaks and McIntyre Range. Check out the sunsets over the mountains from most rooms in the home. It can accommodate a max of 6 people in its three bedrooms all with queen size beds, in accordance with the NYS Fire Code. It has two and half baths. The master bath has a tub and a shower, while the upstairs bath has just a shower. Fully equipped kitchen, dining room, great room with a gas fireplace, washer/dryer. Huge wrap-around deck with a grill and an outdoor fireplace. It also has TV and WiFi. We are pet friendly but requires a pet deposit. As mentioned above, this property sleeps 6 and that number includes children and infants.

This vacation home is just what we were looking for on our short trip to Lake Placid. Our friends from New Zealand were hoping to see some beautiful Adirondack scenery during their visit to the states, and this was the perfect place to stay. The home was exactly as described and communication with the host was excellent!

This was the perfect property for our weekend in Lake Placid. The house was spotless! They need to give their cleaners a raise. The home was cozy and cutely decorated. We plan to come back and would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful house in a peaceful natural surrounding. The house is very clean and beautifully furnished. I recommend it hightly as a getaway. There were many thoughtful touches that made us feel taken care of.

Beautiful family-managed updated and modern rental with a great sunset view within sight of the Olympic Ski Jump facility. Very clean and well maintained! We enjoyed the large deck and comfortable living room. Beds were comfortable and the rooms had fans and window A/C units. Owner was very responsive to minor issues via text. Definitely bring ice and bottled water.

Our stay here was perfect from the moment we drove onto the property. The views and location of the property were ideal for us. Far enough outside the village but close enough to conveniently drive in. The house itself was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. Our 13 year old daughter fell in love with the house and really loved the upstairs bedroom she slept in and demanded we stay here again. Wish we could have stayed longer but only had 3 days to visit, next year will try to stay longer if we can. Thank you Carol for a wonderful stay.

We loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 4 (plus our little family dog too!). Each adult child had their own room upstairs, and we had our own suite downstairs. The living area was comfy on the very cold nights when we curled up as a family and watched a movie. Everything was modern, clean and the detailed decorations made it feel very special. Loved it!

We enjoyed a quick trip to Lake Placid and enjoyed a mini-snowstorm while we were there. We go to Lake Placid often and usually stay in a hotel. This time we chose VRBO and it was the right call! Everything about the house was as described, if not better. My kids were happy and so were we! We will definitely stay there again!

This is was our second time gathering friends at this property. Everything about the property is cozy and warm. It’s Adirondack theme can be found in every room. You’ll find everything you need for your time there. Just bring a Keurig for pod coffee. A traditional coffee pot is provided. The camp is very clean and well kept. Minutes to Lake Placid mainstreet. Mountain and ski jump views right from the front of the property. We will return again for sure.

Perfect Hiking hub

Just a short drive from a bunch of trail heads and the City of Lake Placid, this was the perfect spot for us. After a long (or short) day of hiking, having a place to sit out on the deck, watch the sunset and relax. Would have worked well to hang out if the weather hadn't been perfect during our stay. Will plan to stay here again in the future.

The home was very clean and decorated beautifully with an Adirondack theme. Had lots of essentials to use (sheets, towels, pots/pans, appliances, etc.) Great views from the deck, got to see several beautiful sunsets. In a great location, on a quiet street, but only about 10 mins to downtown. We happened to be there during a rather hot week in the spring and there was no AC. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Lovely house

First off, Laura has been super helpful in accommodating all our changes of plan over the course of the pandemic. It was wonderful finally to be able to stay at the house. The house is very comfortable and really spacious. It is well decorated in I suppose an Adirondack theme, but especially bears, including one sign that has a hilarious (and true) update on an old saying which I won't repeat here and spoil the surprise. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality tools and is a pleasure to cook in. The view to the west is spectacular and we saw one of the most amazing sunsets over the meadow. All in all a wonderful place to stay, great house, great location. We will definitely return.

This property is everything advertised and more. The floor plan opens up the entire first floor. It’s airy and has plenty of natural light. The decorations are uniquely Adirondack. All bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The house is very quiet. We could not think of one thing the house doesn’t provide. It is spotlessly clean. Our only complaint is that we didn’t have more time. We will be making a return trip in the fall once we coordinate schedules. We highly recommend this property.
