The owner was very nice and responsive, so the communication was great, but the house needs a lot of work and cleaning! Sheets and towels were a problem with not being clean or having enough. It’s a catch twenty two bc the beach access and location are GREAT!!!

This is our second time to Casa Neptuno and we absolutely love it. The first time we were here in April with 3 of 4 of the kids, this time just the 2 of us came down for some R & R and to get away from the cold. The property is only 1/2 hour from the airport and easy to get to. If you want things to do, there are plenty; if you want to just relax, its the perfect loaction; you are a 2 min walk from the beach with beautiful views. The next door neighbor's dog can be annoying but otherwise nice and quiet. We will be back!!

Overall good experience, just wished we had access to washing machine. Close to the beach, and centrally located to east of the island.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW AS WELL AS OTHER REVIEWS LEFT BY OTHER PEOPLE.
First of all, I couldn’t keep count of how many things were broken and/or not in proper working order when we checked in. Lights in bathrooms, bed frames, clogged sinks, to mention a few.
The place has a terrible bug problem. We found bugs on our beds, bathrooms, kitchen, and even inside the iron (beats me).
We rented this place to have a small wedding and the owner waited until we could no longer get a refund (we prepaid for the whole stay in full) to tell us we needed to pay an extra LARGE FE out of which allegedly 30% would be refunded. At this point we had no choice but to pay.
Apparently the location of this property is notorious for power outages and this property is NOT ready for them. While staying there (2 adults and 5 kids) we lost power for about 20 hours. The water is linked to the power so NO WATER EITHER.
When we contacted the owner all he said was “that’s the government’s fault, I can’t do anything about it”. But he could. BOTH our neighbors had generators, they knew what’s up, they knew this happens often.
This was just terrible, the place quickly became a brick oven. I’ve never felt so hot in my life. No one could sleep. Food spoiled, the bathrooms were full of defecation because they could not be flushed, and there was no buckets or water source to do so. They have one of those blue tanks sitting outside with some water, but the faucet is so close to the ground that you could not fit a bucket and there were no hose.
The front gate is electric so we couldn’t drive anywhere. A “property manager” was supposed to bring water and open the gate but he/she never showed up.
There are a few other “amenities” that are “not listed” which is his excuse for them not to work properly. The house also has a washer and dryer that you’re NOT ALLOWED TO USE so if you’re planning a week visit for you and your family you better pack a LOT of clothes!
In the end, the owner had the audacity to question some broken toy (literally a cheap toy) that I had no knowledge of and an outdoor rug that was in the grass and only refunded 20% of our already unfair fee/deposit. In our minds he should’ve purchased a small generator with the fee just to run the fridge at least.
Please don’t be fooled by this place. Read other reviews. Don’t make this mistake like we did.
Worst experience ever with a renter who simply could not care any less!!

A coral paradise!
We had the BEST time in Puerto Rico and a flawless stay at La Casa Neptuno… the location of this house could not be much better; it is on a quiet road with beautiful views of the island and quick access to a beach that is a hidden gem; a short shallow snorkel out and you are on top of a beautiful coral reef with brain coral as big as 3 feet in diameter. The house was clean, well air, conditioned, and handled our family well when we weren’t exploring the rest of the property and the island. We were delayed from flying home and fortunately Tinno was able to accommodate us for 2 extra nights… He was extremely helpful and readily available. We fell in Love with this island… we’ll be back Tinno!! Thank you !!

Let's start with the good. The beach is awesome. A minute walk from the property through a private path. The beach is very calm or you can walk 10 mins down the beach and opens up to an area with waves if you like that. The house was clean and welcoming.
The bad. The owner failed to tell us there was a demo/construction going on next door. Very loud starting at 7:30am. We had to leave the property during the day to avoid the noise and dust from the work. Afternoon, back to peaceful and beautiful. It definitely ruined the mornings, but there is plenty to do around the area.

An amazing getaway in paradise!
I love this place!!!!! This was my third stay before sharing a review, and I have to say that it never disappoints! Just a 35-40 minute drive from San Juan airport is this beautiful beachfront house with 360 views of nature. Fully equipped and impeccably clean. You just need to bring your bathing suits and voila!
And the host is super friendly and accommodating to your needs. My whole family loved it. I will definitely return!

Christmas Holidays
We had an amazing stay at Casa Neptuno. Plenty of space for our party of 7. Loved the back yard and the private beach. Host was quick to answer any questions. Would definitely return in the future.

Read before you book!
No door in “3” rd room which in more like a dinning room with beds in it. On the third day of five day stay the shared toilet flooded causing all users to use outdoor toilet. Backyard was over grown which not safe for kids or adults to use. The owner asked us to wait for two separate mornings for the gardener to come, they never came.
No driveway, so you had to drive over a swamp. Electric gate continuously malfunctioned. Pots and pan are outdated and rusted. I had to go buy a pan and spatula to make the kids breakfast. The roof top was infested with mosquitoes and could not be used.
I had booked the place for a second week for three couples. I had spoken with the owner and hopes the situation would be remedied. Upon our arrival we discovered a sign on the toilet indicating the that it was “out of service”. It remained that way for our entire stay. So Two of the couples had to use the outdoor toilet including in the middle of the night. We spent one morning waiting for the gardener to clean the yard. I have been using VRBO for many years including Europe and must say, this has been the worst ☹️.

Bad timing or real need of property care?
Just a few minutes from arriving to the property, administrator informed about one of two bathrooms available for 10 persons was broken and the shower hadn’t water heater. Also, asked for an excuse because the garden was a mess. He didn’t warned us about that the area was mosquitoes friendly; the mosquitoes were intense!!! So, bring your own OFF and Citronella’s candles if you want to enjoy the terrace. The Last night of rental, electric power went out, and no fan was available to, at least, sleep without being bitten by such plague! So, at 8pm we left the property. Electric power returned next morning @ 9am… 2 hours before the authorized rental period ended. The property has potential!!! But should be cared more often and /or have available plan b to respond to such weaknesses or temporary situations.

Great location near the beach and good space for the family.

Good value in good location
Good value and had a lovely stay, though not as luxurious as a resort. Good location close to rainforest and other great attractions. Waterfront/beach was lovely and private. Note there’s no door on the third bedroom, as it opens up directly to dining room, and the second bathroom had no hot water.

Great Calming Escape
Casa Neptuno is a quiet, clean, and calming place. Its location is excellent. The beach is almost in your backyard. The whole place made us feel at ease. It is comfortable and has everything you could need. We had a great time I️ would 100% recommend a stay here.
Our host Tinno was extremely easy to talk to and very friendly. He was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions or situation. He is also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful.
I would definitely come again!

Beautiful Oceanfront Paradise
We booked very last minuet due to a last minuet cancellation of another host. We were so lucky to find Tinno's place last minuet. He was soooo helpful with communicating and coordinating everything with me in a very short timeframe. Manny, the house manager Manny was fantastic when we arrived. They made sure to show us around the property can beach. There are nice size bunk beds in the middle room. There are 2 other king as queen bed rooms as well. So it's good for 2 couples and children or even A group of friends. There were 7 of us and super comfortable. We spend most of our time in the back yard and at the beach.
We had a chef come out and cook a brunch at the beach. It was February so the weather was perfect. The beach is basically private, only really shared by the neighbors. The water is shallow enough to swim in pretty far out. We absolutely loved it and will be Back.

Not quite as advertised!
We were 3 couples staying at Casa Neptuno for 6 nights beginning valentines weekend. This property is NOT private beach! It’s a fenced beachfront property with beach access appx 100 yards away. We wondered why there were no pics of the 3rd bedroom. It’s a walk thru bedroom w/ double wide door opening to living space and no door or curtain which was way less than ideal for couples with lack of privacy and anyone needing to use the bathroom. This was one of several undisclosed or misrepresented items about the property. There ARE 3 bathrooms with showers. The outside bathroom was disgusting and smelled like a dead animal and had not been cleaned well in a long time and unusable to us. The ONLY hot water in the whole house is in the master bathroom which meant everyone had to parade thru that bedroom to shower. This wasted a lot of our time taking turns. No hot water to the kitchen either so you must heat water or do dishes in cold water only. The kitchen pans, utensils, fridge etc need a good cleaning or replaced and are limited. Limited linens for our group meant we had to go buy hand towels and wash cloths as there were none. Washer/dryer didn’t work and no effort to repair was made. We wasted more time of vacation at the laundromat. Property mgr told us he had warned owner this property isn’t ready for renting yet. There’s 3 large barking dogs in the adjoining property so napping/sleeping in daylight was challenging. Trash, broken down furniture and glass litter the property. Drink bottles and trash fill planters. There are several safety problems such as many glass panels on upper deck broken with sharp edges, the light switch INSIDE the only hot water shower, sockets/outlets falling off ceiling or walls. There are several undisclosed security cameras around the house. For a day or 2 this place wouldn’t be bad for a small family or an event venue. We have stayed in many VRBOs worldwide. This one was overpriced and misrepresented. We attempted to find another place to rent but as it was Valentine’s weekend we couldn’t find lodging to accommodate our group. Those things aside, the location was good as well as the beach nice. Listing needs corrected. With some effort and a 2nd hot water heater this would be a decent place to spend time!

Wonderful location
Super easy access to an essentially private beach with little to no waves making it great for our 8 month old! Huge yard, lots of seating options. Air conditioning in all the rooms kept the temperature very comfortable. Well cared for home with more modern updates. 2 private bedrooms, 1 with a private bath and hot water, and the 2nd sharing bathroom with a 3rd bedroom that is open to the living/dining area. Wifi was fast and reliable for 2 people on zoom calls. House manager is very responsive and helpful even bringing us a blender.
