We stayed for 3 nights mid-August and left wishing we had booked more! Another family was coming or we would have asked to stay longer. Highlights included: the spacious bedrooms, pool table (my kids played at it for hours!), expansive breakfast table with gorgeous view, multiple outdoor seating areas (especially the one on the back porch to look at stars at night, and the incredibly gracious host Michelle. She was SO helpful! Great location in terms of getting to and from the valley as well. Highly recommend. And we hope to return someday!

We had a great stay at the property. While there were a couple of amenities we wished for, the space in the house was great. There were nine of us and so much room, we were always able to spread out comfortably.

We had an excellent experience on our hiking trip to Yosemite. The Lodge had a wide open kitchen family area that allowed us to cook and watch our children play games and have fun. The first floor is very spacious and opens up to a large outdoor patio that allow us to enjoy, beautiful evening sunshine after our long hikes in Tuolmone Valley. The location is close to the tunnel view entrance into the valley, which made it very convenient. Staying inside the park gates made it easy to enter into the park without long delays. Believe me, that is priceless. I would highly recommend this place for larger groups because of its spacious design, I would rent this place again

We enjoyed your spacious home and the location was perfect! Thw peace and tranquility there were much-needed. There were two falls with in a short drive. I enjoyed the NO Wi-Fi however my teenagers struggled..

Everything on our trip was great! Location was wonderful. Michelle was very helpful throughout the process and during our stay. We would highly recommend this location if you want to be close to all the Yosemite activities.

We had the best family weekend staying in this home! We originally had reservations in the valley that got canceled and we wanted to be as close as possible without being in a hotel.
The layout and cleanliness of the house could not have been more ideal. Our kids are older and the house was big enough to accommodate us + significant others. We actually had a very intimate wedding ceremony at the Tunnel View and we celebrated with an amazing dinner and celebration at the house afterwards.
I would love to stay again someday. Thank you Michelle!

This is a great property for a large group. Our family reunion/birthday celebration was large enough that we rented two houses in Yosemite West, but because of the large outdoor area, kitchen, and bar pool room areas, we used this house as the main meeting area. The kitchen if fully equiped with everything you might need. There is plenty of parking. The location inside the park is perfect and centrally located from Wawona, Glacier Point, and Yosemite Valley. We loved this property! The other house that we rented could hold a candle to this property. The bear wandering through the patio was an added plus!

Great house and you can’t beat the location inside Yosemite, close to the valley, Glacier Point and Wawona. I would have given it 5 stars except that it lacks internet and was a little short on towels and light bulbs. Michelle the owner was extremely nice and I definitely recommend it.

Absolutely loved out stay! Michelle was a great host and was nice enough to provide some local intel. House was great for a large family and we really enjoyed the saloon and extra large kitchen.

This place was a great place for a group retreat. It’s hard to beat the location close to the park, amenities, etc. The only issue we had was that the trash dumpster was not accurate as described or from the pictures sent. The code didn’t work on the dumpster lock, so we had to figure out how to dispose of our trash, which was a bit of a hiccup.

This is a great place to stay to explore Yosemite with family and friends. The home is very spacious and can easily accommodate 8-9 people. During the day - you are easy distance to all that Yosemite has to offer. In the evenings we enjoyed cooking meals, play pool and general time hanging out together (No wifi is a bonus with teenagers).
The communication was top notch - super responsive and helpful.
We hope to stay here again on our next trip to Yosemite -- would be a great spot for a family holiday get together!

Great location, thirty-five minutes from the Ahwahnee. Michelle, the owner, was very nice, helpful and answered all questions quickly and efficiently. The house is large and the Kitchen and living area for gathering is a great space! The pool room/ bar is a fun. The patio off the kitchen for BBQing and enjoying sitting outside is also nice. The house is older and needs some maintenance but is overall functional and nice. For a laid back vacation in the park it works well.

We had a great time in the house! It had enough space for us to spread out. We enjoyed playing pool and sitting at the bar the most. Michelle was very pleasant to communicate with and her instructions were very helpful.

Hughes Family Yosemite Vacation 2022
This house was perfect for our family. It’s a beautiful home with plenty of room for a large family and a perfect base for exploring Yosemite. If you get an opportunity to talk to the owner, do it. The house has a very unique and interesting history in itself and also she’s a great source of information on and some traditions of the original inhabitants here. I highly recommend staying here and the whole family wants to come back!

Yosemite vacation
Great location only 30 min to Yosemite Valley. Not biking distance but no traffic. Beautiful house very cosy with huge kitchen & dining area for large groups. Nice for meals & game time. Loved the bar & pool table. Very popular room for my family. Excellent communication with property owner with helpful recommendations. My adult kids hiked all of the strenuous trails/falls in 5 days. Very busy week but they loved it. House details were right on spot…bring propane. Lots of kitchenware, linens. Only thing not so perfect was the lack of air condition & no internet service. We really enjoyed being together though without cell phones. Lastly, we saw a bear close to the house so listen to the rules and don’t leave food outside or in the car. That was exciting. Would definitely recommend this home. Thanks for a great vacation.

We loved Yosemite. There were just a few things were different regarding the bed situation .
We had a very good experience. Some things in the house could be updated but it is still very functional. Michelle thank you very much for all your help.

Will definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing time in this house. Michelle was very good at communicating with us before and during our stay. We had a little bit of a problem figuring out the trash dumpster code, but it wasn't a big deal because we were going to the valley every day so we just brought the trash with us every morning. There's a lot of dumpsters scattered all over the valley. We love the wood fireplace. We made all kinds of s'mores from it. There's no wifi, which is the most perfect feature for adults who just want to disconnect from the world. Parking is plenty. We brought 4 cars and it looks like it can accommodate 2 or 3 more. We love the big table right in front of the big kitchen. We have a few cooks in the family and there's still plenty of room to move around. The kitchen had everything we needed. Baking, cooking, grilling. Doesn't matter what we needed, the tools were there. This place is quite accessible to elderly even though there's a few mini staircases. My grandma who is 88 yrs old had no problem moving around the house.

1st Yosemite Trip
We were searching for a place close to Yosemite that could easily accommodate our family of five. We especially liked the open kitchen dining area which is where we spent most of our time while at the house. The house was very clean, lots of towels and basic supplies, and also had an enjoyably quirky feel to it. We would definitely return when we’re next at Yosemite.

Perfect location and house
The listing is accurate. The bar and game room was a great place to hang out after hiking in the park. The house is well stocked for making meals. The beds were comfortable. Michelle was super communicative and you’ll enjoy an impressive VHS collection.

A wonderful place for a family reunion
Our family of 3 adult daughters, their partners & a grandchild all joined us at this beautiful retreat home to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday. The house was perfect - there are fabulous spaces for all of us to gather, and enough separate spaces if anyone wanted some time alone. The house is well situated inside the park, so no time spent in lines to get in, and no reservations needed. The house is very well stocked, the beds are comfortable & the showers have good force. Michelle is very responsive, and welcoming. She even left us a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine to add to our celebrations. I can't say enough positive about this home. I'd recommend it for anyone. This house has become the model for what we will look for at any future vacation destination. And of course, Yosemite is a fabulous park, which we enjoyed everyday. Thank you so much for everything!

Fun, Fun, Fun!
This property has so much to offer! Great gathering spot for a large group or several families. We had 10 total including 4 kids and there was plenty of room to enjoy each other’s company and also have some private time if needed! The BAR is so classic and I’d say 80% of our time was spent there playing billiards and partying! We drove into the park every day and couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Michelle (the host). She was extremely responsive to all of our questions (there weren’t many) and you can feel the decades of great times the minute you step through the front door. We hope to get back there one day soon!

Wonderful place to unplug from the world!!
We had two families stay in the house, and we had a wonderful time. Lots of common space and different areas to socialize. The first floor interior decoration is wonderful!

Great location and space for a group of adults
We had two families with adult children. There was space for everyone for sleeping and spreading out to play pool, watch TV, read, or play games at the awesomely huge dining table. We cooked all meals in the big kitchen and served from buffet style from the island counter. Of course the location was the best - easy drives to Mariposa Grove and the Valley. Fantastic amenities, very clean, nice bathrooms, bedrooms, wood burning stove, and living areas. Thank you!

Awesome House for a Family Yosemite Vacation
This house was perfect for our multi-generational family of 9 who gathered to celebrate a special birthday. The kitchen and dining areas were spacious and provided a great place to cook meals (we didn't eat out due to COVID), prep picnic lunches and gather for meals altogether at one table. The sunken bar and game room kept everyone occupied: the grownups enjoyed playing pool every evening and the 2 five-year olds in our group loved playing store behind the bar that even included a working cash register (they had a blast using poker chips for money). The bedrooms were large and comfy so individuals had plenty of privacy when they needed a peaceful place away from the group. We also enjoyed the large living room as another gathering spot for quiet conversations and games. The kids loved exploring outside the house and "hiking" around the back area. The only hitch was the empty propane tank for the BBQ but we had brought our own propane so we were OK. Thank you to the host Michelle who gave us great suggestions for fun activities in Yosemite! We would definitely come back to this fabulous house!

Highly recommend this property
The property is large and really nice. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. There is one room that is amazingly big with a large master bath that my mom loved. My 8 year old enjoyed the outdoor space and the board games. My 15 month old niece also loved walking out in the back patio area and the super cute path around the house. The men had fun playing pool and grilling. The kitchen is very spacious and wonderful to cook in. There really was something for everyone to enjoy and it made our stay wonderful and memorable. We all loved the house and definitely recommend it for families with young kids. Thank you!

So much to do in the house and outside, not enough time for all of it.

The property is quite "old school", funky and fun. The place needs some TLC and attention, but that wouldn't stop us from going back. Our visit was for family, brother, daughters, and grand kids. Great separation of bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy and large rooms for family fun and gatherings. Great times in the dining-kitchen area having meals together, great stories and lots of games. The rental contact was great and really guided us through the whole process.

A true gem inside the park
The pictures just don't do this property justice. I wasn't expecting very much based on the photos, but when we arrived, I was pleasantly suprised. The bar/billiard room is really cool and fun. The sitting area/tv room is fun, but the room where we spent most of our nights after our daily hikes was the kitchen at the big picnic table. That picnic table could seat our 3 families and more. We had an amazing time. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Big house with cool rooms. Very responsive host. No wifi I'm the house. Download your maps and music! There is some network access outside the house, Maybe 1-2 blocks away. But who needs internet anyways? Enjoy the valley without your black mirror for a bit.

Fun, fun, fun
Our family had a great time in this unique and fun cabin located in a very convenient location. It wasn’t too far from the valley or Glacier Point. Working with Michelle, the owner, was great. She had great communication and was so helpful. The kitchen was big enough for the whole family and the back yard was so fun. We had fun, fun, fun!
