This apartment is well-located in the Historic Centre of Nimes, and the host is very knowledgeable of the area and very friendly. Martin was extremely helpful with our efforts during our month-long stay as we were making long-term plans to stay in Nimes. The apartment has been updated and is well furnished including the kitchen. It's close to public transportation stops for when you want to venture further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this VRBO and are happy to have met Martin.

We had a fantastic 5 five day stay in Nimes and this was a great base. 15 minutes walk from the rail station and everything we wanted to see within an easy walk. The flat is comfortable and well equipped. Very close to some great places to eat, but also has what you need to make meal. Spacious enough for two. Our host, Martin, provided a great welcome and was available for any queries. Would certainly recommend.

As background, I travelled to Nimes alone for the purpose of seeing the various Roman artifacts, ruins, and intact structures. I have interest in the Roman Empire and Nimes did not disappoint. I really enjoyed staying at this property. I would say it is just right for 1 person or a couple who would be spending most of their time outside. I did not need the bed in the small living area so I can't attest to that, one way or the other. The kitchen and bathroom appear to be quite new. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and it was quite easy to prepare a meal, which I did for breakfast and a dinner or two. The bathroom is also new, large, comfortable and the water was hot. The bedroom was large and mattress was firm. The air conditioner was in the bedroom and it did the job. Note that when I was there temperatures outside where around 75F during the day. I never watched the television so I can't comment on that. For me, the best intrinsic characteristic of this property is it's location. It is situated a short way down a small alley, which is off a one-way street, mostly pedestrian. When you exit the alley you will literally run into 2 small, pleasant restaurants, Turning left you will send you to a main street with restaurants to your left and right (L'Accent Bistrot on the right corner is outstanding). Turning right will send you on a wonderful winding walk through the Old Town with many stunning sites to see.

Good apartment and well equipped. Great location in the historic centre with some great little restaurants , cafes and shops very nearby, the historic monuments and parks all very accessible. And a really good indoor market for excellent regional produce across the whole range of foods/produce. Stairs are a bit difficult as we have limited mobility, but the concierge, Martin , was very helpful. Would recommend it to both family and friends. David and Geraldine

We wanted to visit Nimes for the historic start in France of La Vuelta a Espana. We found this apartment which was located in the area we wanted. After booking, the owner Martin contacted us immediately to confirm all was ok. We agreed to meet at the property around 10.30 - 11.00 am directly after our arrival in Nimes. Martin showed us around the property and left us with the keys. He had already given us his mobile number in case we wanted to contact him. The property is suitable for a couple and perhaps two older children. It is very clean comfortable and well equipped. It is within easy waking distance to all the main sites, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. We found the location to be very central and was easy to return to several times a day for refreshment and a rest! Thank you Martin.

We enjoyed our week in this comfortable, newly renovated apartment in the pedestrian zone of historic NIMES. It is nicely furnished with everything you need to sleep well, make simple meals in a modern kitchen, shower with plenty of hot water and relax after sightseeing. The excellent food halls and shopping area are nearby as well as the classic attractions, the Arena, Maison Carre, the beautiful fountain park and more. We had good communication with Martin, the owner, while planning our visit. We highly recommend this apartment.

The flat is located in a very quiet and safe cul-de-sac at the heart of Nîmes city centre, close to Maison de Carré, Jardin des Fontaines and La Coupole shopping centre. The banks, chemists, post office, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants are all around. Sunday flea market is on the avenue nearby. The flat itself was completely refurbished to a highly artistic level by the landlord and his younger brother. It is well equipped with all modern facilities, including broadband internet. It is warm, clean and well maintained. The landlord, a young French intellectual is a very cultured gentleman. He is courteous, kind, approachable, and above all very efficient. I would recommend the flat to everyone, and certainly will be back to stay again.
