We l8ved here historic building with modern amenities. Located right in the heart of town, walking distance to everything!

Cozy little condo within walking distance to anything in Durango. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Jarvis.

Perfect location to anchor your Durango vacation. Walking distance to amazing food and breweries. A few blocks from the train too! The parking is a huge bonus as you don’t need to worry about finding long term parking or feed meters. The unit is nicely equipped in a historical building. It was clean and Vacasa was responsive to text messages. Being right in the heart of Historic Durango, you will get to enjoy the evening bustle, especially on weekends. Weekdays it becomes a quiet town. Definitely would book here again

The location was convenient to shops and restaurants. However, it is across the street from a bar and the music was really loud. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. I won't be returning.

We stayed two days in this lovely condo in The Jarvis building. The place had everything we needed and was right in the center of downtown.

Accessible to everything in down town Durango. Very convenient.

My wife and I just spent 3 nights in this charming and recently renovated condo, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's location right down town made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and was very convenient to both Highways 160 and 550 for out of town excursions. The condo is well appointed, although we would have liked to have a luggage racks to put our suitcases on. Several other reviews mentioned the noise coming from the bar next door, but we didn't have any problems with it...however we were there on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.
Our only issue overall was that the instructions to get in the unit were poorly written and as a result, we had to call management to have them help us. The phone connection was horrible, so hearing (and understanding) the agent made for a frustrating check in experience.
My wife and I agreed that we would definitely stay in this delightful condo the next time we are in scenic Durango!

In the heart of downtown Durango, the Jarvis is a great place to stay. This property is just steps from Main Street and all the bars, stores, and restaurants you could possibly want.

The only problem we had was with people above us. I contacted vacasa chat asking if they had the ability to reach out to bldg owner to ask renter/tenant to please stop stomping truly from sun up to late late evening. I was told they could not and I needed to talk to them myself. We chose to tuff it out except the last night it went on all night long. Sounded like remodeling or something, loud bangs thumps and heavy foot steps all night. This was only down side.
Other than that the apt was clean, quaint, and close to historic dist. Walk to great food, drinks and shopping.

Condo was fine. Sink in bathroom did not drain properly - very slow all 3 days we were there. Biggest issue was check in. Location of the property and how to get into the room was explained well and the 10 digit code to open the unit door was accurate. What was not mentioned AT ALL was that when you first entered the building, you could walk through a set of doors, but you needed a fob to get into the actual building. Nothing was explained that there are lock boxes on the framed area of the first set of doors (to your back when you enter) and you needed the letter of the lock box and a 4 digit code to open it to obtain the fob to enter the building and keys to open the dead bolt to your room. This was about 5:30 on a Friday night and fortunately someone answered the 800 number we were provided. The anxiety that went along with improper/incomplete instructions certainly could have been avoided. Also, if you stay on a weekend, know that the bar across the street doesn't close until 2 am and music is blaring right up to closing!

The apartment was so cute and very well laid out. The bathroom was beautifully done. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great.
Some people complained about the train noise in the daytime, this did not bother us and we thought it was neat to see it. The other complaint about the noise from the bar on the weekends is true, but it wasn't that bad. To have such a great location that often comes with it. What we did not like was the outrageous fee by Vacasa, I should have looked at that fee closer when booking it or we would not have booked this.

The location is excellent. Directly on Main Street where you can walk to restaurants/bars, shops and the Durango Silverton narrow gauge train station. The unit is well appointed and updated. The ceiling/walls are not well insulated for sound (it is a historic building). You can hear the trains, people above walking around and the bar across the street can be loud. If you go to bed early that could be an issue. It was not for us because we enjoyed late nights in town. The one problem we had was that in all the Vacasa communications they only provided the electric door code for the unit but did not provide the four digit mechanical door code for the lock box to get into the building. We tried calling Vacassa but after holding for an excessively log time we hung up. We were lucky to have run into the cleaning lady entering the building who had the lock box code, otherwise we would have been stuck outside the building. If you rent this unit, make sure you receive the four digit lock box code.
In summary, you can't beat the location and we would stay there again.

Can’t beat the location! Comfortable and well-appointed. Wouldn’t stay there with more than two people though.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, comfortable and the location was great for downtown. . I would stay here again in the future.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. We had some rainy days and some lazy days. So after walking Main Street and visiting Mesa Verde, we were perfectly happy and content with a quiet night in, eating pizza from a nearby restaurant and sampling various local brewery and distillery offerings. This place is perfectly located for downtown Durango if bar hoping and window shopping is how you like to spend the day. The room is very nice and comfortable so we were also happy spending a quiet night in as well.

the property was wonderful and the place was so well organized and had supplies and pans etc....the only problem is the noise. The bar across the street is incrediblly loud.

Durango is great with lots of friendly people and things to do.
Our only difficulty was needing to leave our suitcases somewhere safe before we could check in. No one responded to my message.

The location is good. The parking is good. It is way too small for 4 people. The noise from the train and the people upstairs was annoying at times.

Place was incredibly well appointed, clean and updated. Location incredible. But if a good nights sleep is high on your list, you might reconsider. The cacophony from the street and the bar just across, was a regular disturbance. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place and I’d stay there again.

This cozy one bedroom condo is located on the 2nd floor of the old Jarvis building. Easy access via a stairway or elevator helped with bringing up our bags. Decorated comfortably with useful features include a rolling small table for the sofa. Easy to recommend this condo!

Excellent location, easy walking distance to the Animas River trail and all the restaurants and other businesses on Main Street. Very well equipped apartment. Good Internet, but not so good if you plan to work while there, as there is no table or desk, just a countertop with stools. But the Durango Public Library is nearby and offers plenty of space for working comfortably -- with great views of the river and mountains.

Great spot
Close to everything, people complaining about noise must have a low tolerance. We liked the location and the unit was decent but a little cozier than pictures showed.
