Welcome to Mandie's Fetching Family Home, a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom property located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the hills above Pacific Beach.
Mandie's Fetching Family Home is a great place to enjoy the outdoor California lifestyle! This family vacation home with pool and spa has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, central AC, a beautiful pool, hot tub, and outdoor living area! The house is set back from the street with a grassy fenced in yard where kids and dogs can safely play. Enter into the spacious, open living area with comfy seating for the entire family. Watch movies, TV, or enjoy your favorite sports team on the 55 inch flat-screen Smart TV. Directly off the living room is the dining area with seating for six. A gas fireplace lends a cheerful glow to the entire room.
The dining area leads into the fully-equipped kitchen where any home chef will be happy to cook. Off the other side of the living room, the hallway leads to the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King sized bed and TV. The adjoining bathroom has a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and TV. The third bedroom has a Queen bed and a bunk bed with 2 singles, and a TV. Those two bedrooms share the second bathroom which has a tub/shower combo.
The large outdoor patio and pool area is an oasis complete with fire pit, wood cabana with lounge seating, Bluetooth enabled speakers, Smart TV, BBQ, dining area and lounge chairs. Beach accessories for family fun include 4 beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, and other beach toys. The beach is a short (1.7 mile) bike ride away! Garage includes parking for 2 small to midsize cars, and a washer and dryer. Aside from the driveway, there is plenty of street parking for any additional or larger vehicles. If you are staying in the summer, the SeaWorld fireworks can be seen from the front yard!

What to expect after booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents.
In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days.
Property Appearance:
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)
Property Responsibilities:
If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.
With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management, Replacement of keys/fobs/remotes, and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!
ALL OF OUR PROPERTIES ARE NON-SMOKING.
Many buildings are also managed by HOAs who will fine guests for misconduct.
Noise:
This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!
Starter Kit:
We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and co2/fire detectors.
Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours - give us a call!

6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.
To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.
This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

We absolutely loved this little home and the neighborhood. We walked to lunch, walked to PB, had guests over for a graduation brunch, had groceries delivered, swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tub, and wished we had more time there. We are admittedly, a bit particular, would have appreciated a solid deep clean prior to our arrival but again, that is a personal opinion. Would for sure stay here again, without hesitation. The home is well appointed, comfortable, and the location was super quiet in a welcoming little neighborhood. A BIG thank you to the rental agency, we needed an iron and they delivered a brand new one, in record time! Thank you!

From check in to check out everything went smoothly. Nancy’s Vacation Rentals was easy to contact and answered all questions. The neighborhood is in a perfect location to explore North or South. Felt very safe! The pool and hot tub were perfect, loved that we were able to add heat. The kids swam every single day and night and so did the adults! The beds were comfortable, tons of towels and pool/beach toys available for use. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved the homey decor. Overall, no complaints! We would stay here again.

The outdoor areas of this house are fantastic! The hot tub was amazing, and we used the fire pit area, hot tub, and grill during our stay almost every night. The location is in a nice residential area, and since we had a rental car the distance to activities was reasonable. There isn't much within an easy walk, so maybe not great for those looking to explore on foot. The house itself was adequate and had potential to be great. Surfaces and linens are clean, but house could use a deep clean (grout, inside cabinets, windows, doors, etc.). There was an "old house" smell in some areas, and when we pulled back the curtains on the patio door to let some light into the master bedroom to see if it helped the smell, there was quite a bit of mildew on the door grids and glass. It is well stocked for cooking, eating, and plenty of pool towels, but there are not a lot of extra bathroom towels (no big deal because there is a washer/dryer). We ran out of toilet paper on day 2 (one extra roll for two bathrooms, plus partials on the holder). This is managed by a rental company, and much of their communication is by phone so if you aren't a phone call person - fair warning! They require a phone call along with a rental agreement, photo id, selfie in order to book - then called two to three other times for check-in and check-out information which was also texted and emailed. No big deal, but I HATE talking on the phone so it was a bit much. Overall, a fine stay and we enjoyed the amenities!

We had a fantastic stay at this property to celebrate my 40th birthday! Adorable neighborhood in a great location, the property was clean and true to the photos, the pool and spa were both lovely. When we accidentally blew a fuse after running 1 too many hair dryers, they were fantastic about helping us get everything back up and running. Our only (tiny!) gripe was that we were 4 gals desperately searching for a full-length mirror. 😝 Other than that one minor nitpick, this property was a fantastic place to spend a week in sunny San Diego. Would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit SD. Thanks!

Great location! Super Cozy home with a fabulous backyard. Hot tub and pool was great to enjoy when we returned from our adventures from the day. We did pay extra for heated pool. We’ll worth it! Only thing I’d recommend they have is a full length mirror. Lol! Us ladies need to see what we look like. And would be perfect if we had recommendations from the host for local restaurants and beaches, etc. But everything was wonderful!! Checkout process was pretty easy too. Which I appreciated. :) Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay with our adult children and spouses. We came to an event nearby and this suited our needs well. We also were able to visit the dog beach and a few dog parks which made it enjoyable for our sweet pup as well! Pool and jacuzzi were great to relax in and watching football with a beer in hand made it a 10 for the hubs!

The house was exactly what we needed and wanted. Three bedrooms with at least queen-sized beds as there were 3 couples in our party. We also wanted a pool so we didn't have to go to the beach every day. Amazing location for everything we wanted to do: restaurants and sports bars, shops and stores, close enough to downtown San Diego to do the touristy things. Honestly, we spent every morning on the patio drinking coffee, and every evening in the hot tub which was perfect. Most vacations end and I feel ready to go home, I would have been more than happy to spend a few more days. I would love to come back! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay here. The house was so cute and clean…had everything you could need as far as kitchen, linens, beach stuff, pool toys, bikes, etc. The pool and hot tub were especially welcome after a day at the beach or out exploring. Very much worth the extra fee to heat the pool. Hot tub heats up quickly. Location is great! Close to Mission Bay, Mission Beach (tho La Jolla Shores was our favorite and only a short drive away). There’s a fun park with a great view within walking distance to the house, grocery store within biking distance, lots of restaurants close by. Check in and check out were easy and good communication throughout the week. Stay here, you won’t want to leave.

Got away for a long girls weekend. Nice quiet area and close enough to the beach for a walk. Pool and hot tub were great. Only thing I would say is the place needs a full length mirror.🤣 No other complaints. Would definitely and will go back ❤️. This place is great for girls weekends and small families

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this property and owner are! From the first day to the last it was by far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed on a vacation. Fantastic location, clean, wonderful entertaining area out back and inside! The best part is how responsive the owner as well as the Nancy’s Vacation Rental were. Every question was answered extremely promptly. They went above and beyond. Will definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this North Pacific Beach property. It is ideally located to get to most of San Diego's attractions. The property itself is nicely appointed with the pool, spa and outdoor grilling and dining space. There were plenty of supplies to begin our visit with cleaning supplies, soaps and shampoos, coffee filters, spices etc. The instructions for entry and use of tvs etc. were easy to understand. The beds were comfortable and the towels were plentiful.
We found the rental company responsive and easy to deal with. When Christmas Eve and Christmas Day brought the surprise of a short-lived neighborhood power outage, the property owner stopped by to reset the pool heating equipment and make sure everything was alright.
We would definitely stay here again!!

The pool and the hot tub are the crown jewels of this property. It also has AC which is a huge plus during the hot summers. We would stay here again. Wish the Ac unit was located behind the house and not next to the bedroom window it gets noisy. Lots of outdoor space and garage with washer dryer and beach essentials. Quiet side street and neighborhood. The only thing I would change/fix are the squeaky mattress bases/pads- Especially on the bunk beds.

Great, affordable family home
Overall, we loved our recent stay. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and centrally located to all the activities we enjoyed in the area. The pool, hot tub and outdoor seating are were a bonus for spending quality family time together. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Gathering Pre-Deployment
This house worked out perfectly for us. There were 5 of us who traveled from Massachusetts to see our daughter/sister. Wr spent the extra for heating the pool. Best decision and worked out perfectly weather wise.
Everything was as described and communication with property management company was no problem. They checked in twice to make sure everything was good.
Plenty of space for our family as well as some of our daughter’s Marine friends to pop in and visit and hang out with us.
We will definitely come back when we can. Maybe post deployment.

Wonderful Oasis great location
We came for a quick trip and stayed for 3 days in
San Diego. The property Manager was great and contacted us prior during and after to make sure all was good and if we needed anything. The house was clean the bed were soft and the Hot tub was delightful! Will definitely stay here again.

Family holiday in San Diego
We had a great time at this property and all the communication with the property manager before and during the booking was good. The weather was chilly with some rain but we still managed to enjoy the pool (which we requested heated), hot tub and BBQ. They kitchen was well equipped enough for our needs for a few dinners at home and the massive couch in the living room provided a nice place for our two families to hang out. It’s also within walking distance of grocery store, restaurants and bakery. Only one thing we noticed is even though the house accommodates 8 people, the dining table only has 6 chairs (we were 4 adults and 3 kids). Probably not a big deal for most folks. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Paradise for Christmas!
We came to visit our son for Christmas and had a great time in San Diego and utilizing the house. Plenty of room for 6, in a quiet neighborhood, and the pool and spa were perfect!!

We had a fantastic stay. The property managers were great, accommodating and accessible. The house has everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and the pool/spa was a treat. We will definitely come back to this home in the future.
