About this apartment rental
This is a high end two level, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo designed for larger families, families traveling with extended family or friends who travel with friends! This condo features private elevator access that opens into the unit itself in order to accommodate a wheelchair for the lower level and the accessible bathroom/shower on the lower level. This condo sleeps up to 9 people.
Features include an elevator, accessible bathroom and shower with bars, a grand staircase, open design full kitchen with granite counter tops, a dining area that seats 10 people, grand double doors leading to bedrooms, a large den and lounge area on the lower level. The main floor bedrooms include and one king sized bed, one queen sized bed and one twin extra-long bed in the three bedrooms. The lower level two couches in the den area are pull out beds with memory foam mattresses (2). There is a full bathtub in one of the full bathrooms on the main level, a feature all mothers with young children can appreciate. The second full bathroom on the main level features a stylish walk-in shower.
The Altamont Condos is located on historic Church Street in the heart of downtown. The street is tree lined and full of beautiful old buildings including three historic churches. The location is ideal, being close to everything downtown and the street is off the high traffic streets, so it is quieter than nearby Patton Avenue.
This building was originally constructed in 1895 and renovated in 2010. The historic character of the building was preserved so it continues to fit in on Church Street while adding modern features to make the property environmentally friendly, convenient and extremely safe.
A second renovation in 2019 created a pair of two-level condos that are ideal for friend groups or families. These two units have connecting doors to create a space for larger groups.
There is high-capacity internet coming into the building and extensive Wi-Fi coverage so you can work remotely during an extended stay. For entertainment we provide a smart TV with Sling and local TV channels, and the Wi-Fi has enough capacity to stream on personal devices.
The building features a large elevator that makes getting luggage in and out extremely easy. There are solar panels on the roof that are behind the original parapet that preheat the building's hot water and electric water heaters in each unit are only used for backup. Heating and cooling are provided by high efficiency heat pumps that automatically bring in fresh air from the outside so indoor air never seems stale. The building also meets the same safety standards as a hotel. There is a sprinkler system, emergency lighting and fire rated emergency exits. You can enjoy the charm of an old structure on a historic street and know that if there is an emergency in the middle of the night you can safely exit the building.
Parking is available in the new Buncombe County public garage on Coxe Ave, it's behind the church across the street and a very short walk. There is another public garage under the A-Loft hotel on Biltmore Avenue.

This condo is great. Our group of college friends tries to get together every other year and we love Asheville. This year, we wanted to stay in Asheville proper, where we could park once and walk to everything. The location is outstanding--a quick walk to everything in downtown Asheville, but located on a quieter side street. The condo had plenty of room for our group of six women. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great, we had no complaints and the location can't be beat!

The condo was beautiful. The location was perfect. Ashville is very easy to walk and this location is central to everything. Parking is a problem as it is in any city but there is a public lot 1 block away. We enjoyed it very much.

Property is in a perfect location, short walk to everything. We had trouble locating extra linens and Kelli personally stopped by to make sure everything was good. Our party was 6 adults and it was an extremely comfortable space

This is the second time we stayed here. The location is unbeatable (there are dozens if not hundreds of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk), and the fact that our two families could go back and forth between this unit and the one next door meant that it was easy to coordinate meals and games. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Asheville.

Spacious and nice. Great location. Good experience, but curious obsession w coat hangers. Vrbo online photo showed scene from high up in building. Actually, the place is half in basement and other floor is street level requiring closing blinds so people dont look in. Both lamps in master bedroom needed new lightbulbs. Wine glasses would gave been nice.

St Partrick’s Weekend Geataway
Location - Property is in a central location where you can easily walk to most places in the city. However, many homeless individuals hung out and slept right outside the building on the sidewalk in front of the unit’s kitchen/dining area.. Constant drug use visible from the kitchen and dining area of the facility, where we hung out to socialize throughout each day. Had to keep blinds closed because 5-6 people sat outside our windows and a few kept constantly peering into the kitchen/dining area. Wasn’t a back exit to the building so a couple members of our party did not feel safe.
Cleanliness- Rugs and floors were extremely dirty. Bathroom floor in basement had a pile of dust, dirt and debris in the middle of the floor at checkin. However, kitchen, showers, and bathroom counters were clean. Floors were main issue when comes to cleanliness.

We spent two days in Asheville with our family of 7. The apartment was so clean. The linens were new and clean. Comfortable beds. Brian was a great communicator. The location to shopping and eating was convenient.

Excellent Downtown Location
Great large downtown accommodation, very quiet inside the unit. Easy walking access to all downtown shops & restaurants.
Slight inconvenience if you don't find a spot out front is parking.

Great condo, but the city felt unsafe. Our three night stay in the city had more than six very unpleasant experiences with homeless people tripping out on drugs, defecating on the grounds of the church across from the condo and overall aggression from them. I was more than a little surprised to spend that much time in a city that size without ever seeing a police officer on any of the city streets. They have overrun Prichard Park which is why I’m guessing that the drumming circle didn’t happen when we stayed there. Definitely not a family destination. Asheville has some work to do!

Asheville condo
The location of the property is great. Right in the middle of everything! It's was very clean and fully stocked with everything that we could need. It was a bit noisy both from the hallway outside the front door and on the lower level. We had someone sleeping on a sleeper sofa on the lower level and you could hear very loud mechanical sounds all night - either from the elevator or heater, not sure. That being said, it was a very good experience.

Condo is amazing but wished for more TVs. Only TV was downstairs. I had to park down the street at the church and leaving parking hazard lights on while we walked luggage back to the condo. Parking deck not far away although had to walk past several homeless camps to get back to the condo. While walking around the downtown area, homeless men would approach my daughters yelling and really scared them. Main area down the street from the condo is base camp with homeless men. Condo is amazing but didnt feel safe in the area.

Location, Location, Location!
I would highly recommend this property. Walk right to get to shops/restaurants and left to get to breweries. Loft was very spacious and clean. As other reviews have mentioned, it was tough getting live TV. We also had an internet issue which was inconvenient because we were working/schooling remote, but the property managers were super responsive! I don't think you could find a better spot to be right in the middle of everything Asheville. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful property
This unit used to be a business store front that has been renovated into condo units. Very cool property and was very happy with the cleanliness of the unit. We did have a lot of homeless people around the outside area because I think the church next store attracts them. They seemed harmless... we stayed clear of them.

Loved our stay! Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Lots of space for all of us. The only glitch was the tv. We found it impossible to log in and watch. Suggest some instructions in the apartment.Highly recommend.

Very cool place, plenty of room, the beds are new and comfortable. The sheets and towels are of high quality. Bathrooms are all newly updated with great water pressure in the showers. Tons of space to sit, and hang out with your people. Very nice new comfortable furniture. We were there on the weekend and parked right next to the condo Saturday after 5 pm till Sunday. The parking garage is about a block away not too expensive. The wifi is fast and modern. Some in my group were having issues with getting football on the television. Maybe they should look into that. One of the toilets ran and needed the handle shake thing. I cant think of really any other negatives. The best part is easy walking to all of downtown breweries, bars, restaurants and shopping. The condo is on a side street between 2 churches so the street is mostly quiet. They are doing some extras with covid-19, all the bedding goes in plastic bags when you leave and they want you to wash the towels if possible. They provide Tide pods. All reasonable stuff, and the place was spotless when we arrived. I would just allow for a few extra minutes on your check out day to strip the sheets and put the towels in the washer. Book with confidence this is a great place

PHENOMENAL STAY!
This condo is FANTASTIC. First, the location could not be better; quiet street of the main thoroughfare in downtown Asheville. Easy and abundant parking around. The condo itself is not only absolutely lovely- it is also IMMACULATE. I was nervous traveling in the middle of the pandemic, but once I was there I was completely at ease. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the set up of the condo itself. Spacious and excellently appointed, generous kitchen and table. Enough room for a family game of hide and seek when it was raining outside! So many great places walkable right from the location. Really, you can't do better than this place. I hesitate to put all this out there because I want to keep it for myself, but these owners deserve a shout-out! THANK YOU for sharing your place with my family! We will be back soon!

We so enjoyed our weekend in Asheville. There was tons of room for 6 of us, and we walked everywhere - for coffee and pastries in the morning, breweries in the afternoon and restaurants at night. Great condo on a quiet street in the middle of it all!

outstanding location, nifty architecture
fantastic place to stay in Asheville. We were concerned about noise from bar next door based on previous reviews, but even on new year's eve we didn't hear a thing. Place was clean and very well stocked. would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was the perfect spot for our family weekend in Asheville. The condo is perfectly located for walks around town and also had easy access in and out of town as we were visiting relatives in nearby Weaverville. Very clean, well stocked and comfortable, surrounding neighborhood is quiet at night. Highly recommend !
