We had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed our stay. David and Teri were our hostesses and were very accommodating and helpful even though we checked in earlier because I was still in Texas’ time!
I traveled with two teens and was a bit skeptical about staying in an independent rental, but it was very safe, cozy and family oriented. We can’t wait to come back!

Dan was a helpful and kind host who made me feel right at home in his studio for an extended work trip. The windows and wrap around porch were perfect, the bed was comfortable, and the landscaping was beautiful. I wish that I had more time to enjoy the place after my long work days, I will be back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at the "treehouse" - a studio garage apartment nestled in trees. The listing was beautifully decorated, reflected the Taos architecture, equipped as described and close to area attractions.

The isolated studio apartment was designed and built by the owner, above their free standing garage. The pictures are accurate and the large deck is on two sides. This overlooks their four acre estate, consisting of mature Aspen and Oak trees. The southwest architecture is accented by flower beds. Dan and Ulma are consummate hosts, and are very respectful of your privacy, and will go the extra mile. I hope to return someday.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay. Close to Taos square and very private. The garage apartment has all you need—and the owners are wonderful. They were so helpful one night when I accidentally locked my phone and the door keys in the house apartment. They were so responsive and quick to help us. Rent it! You’ll be glad you did! We plan to go back again.

Beautiful and Relaxing Place to Stay
We really loved staying at this property. The location was perfect - very close to the center of Taos, but very secluded. We especially loved the outdoor areas with all of the tall trees, beautiful flower, and chirping birds. The indoor space was beautifully done with a great kitchen, cute bathroom, and very comfortable bed. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back!! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a cozy , secluded, and quiet location.

The studio in the trees had everything we needed and was conveniently located for everything we did in the Taos area! We had our own private place while parking lots were full at local hotels! Uma and David were great hosts and got everything ready for us. They provided all the instructions we needed for a contactless yet accommodating experience.

A Great Escape
Loved every second spent here! Sunsets were magical, milk prestocked in the fridge for coffee, and that in-ground trampoline is 100% worth it. Loved feeling like a kid again in this charming treehouse

Weeklong Art workshop attendee wanting privacy
Uma and Daniel are wonderful hosts. They made me feel welcome immediately and they didn’t hover although I knew they were accessible to answer any questions. A very clean, private, safe, comfortable and zen environment with an automated gate. Great garden, big shade trees, private balcony (mosquito repellant was provided)and parking. Away from downtown traffic. Although located near a busy-ish local backroad intersection it was secluded enough that it didn’t bother. I’ll stay again if they’ll have me!
Great for a single person, 2 friends splitting cost, or a couple with a kid. Convenient 10-15min drive to everything.

An inspiring retreat
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Daniel and Uma’s studio treehouse. The quiet beautiful countryside setting was the perfect retreat for me to get some needed writing time. Sounds of nature and beauty abound here, and the studio with its wrap around porch and gorgeous detail is both comfortable and inspiring. Thank you for sharing this special place. Namaste.

Like home away from home! Quiet yet excellent nature sounds at night. Lots of trees!
This is a very attractive guest house inside and out, surrounded by beautiful trees and flower shrubs. The queen size bed was so comfortable we slept like babies and never awakened each other upon rising. The interesting art, furniture, linens and warm hardwood floors made for a cozy setting. We were so glad we decided to stay here instead of a hotel with our friends. We enjoyed the natural setting which was close enough to downtown Taos to keep all our plans for dining, shopping and abundant nightlife. The owners take good care of this place. Best,
Mr. & Mrs. S.

Just the right distance from town - private and quiet
This studio apartment provided the perfect location being close to town yet secluded. The apartment is above a detached garage with the main home about 75 feet away. Vish (Daniel) was a wonderful host and very helpful in answering questions. All amenities provided, plus some unexpected organic toiletries. Very clean and deserves 4.5 stars. One-half star deducted for some annoying ants in the kitchen area (merely annoying, but pesky). We would be honored to stay here again!
