My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Secluded Chalet. The layout of the house was perfect for the four of us, including two kids. One of our favorite features was the large slate deck where we spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful mountain setting. Communications with the owner, Kathy, were seamless. The location provides easy access to much of what the Catskills has to offer. Highly recommend this property and would stay again.

We had a superb time here, the house was beautiful with everything you could ask for. Children loved playing in the yard and creek nearby. Grilling on the patio was a wonderful way to end a busy day. A really nice place to spend a few days with family.

Long Weekend Family Vacation
Among our two families we have five kids 6 and under. Accommodations were well suited. The toy room was an awesome bonus. Lots of fun on the large patio. Aside from the heat wave, which we managed with extra box fans, our stay was quite enjoyable. Very clean, nice amenities, good communication with the host.

Lovely place
Lovely place for a relax family get together for us. Good amount of space with a beautiful stream right by the property. Kids had a blast trying to figure out how to cross it.
Well stocked home with everything you’d need for the stay and a super responsive host.

Just what we needed
This property was exactly what we were looking for. It was well stocked, from providing toiletries to even having kids dishes and utensils. It’s close to good food, good travel destinations (Woodstock and Livingston Manor), and good hikes. Kathy was very responsive, and we all had a great time thanks to her.

Hidden gem in Catskills
We really enjoyed our stay at the Oliverea. The outside play set and swing were perfect for the 3 children aged 6 to 7 - hours of fun on those, and they loved the bedroom with 3 beds.
We enjoyed exploring the creek, and sitting round the fire pit with s’mores.
The Peekamoose Restaurant, just 10 minutes drive up the road, was excellent- we visited a couple of evenings. Some great hikes in the area.
A great spot - would recommend.

Long weekend winter trip
Beautifully renovated with modern amenities, this secluded chalet provides everything needed to enjoy a trip to the Catskills. 4 bedrooms (2 up and 2 down) could easily accommodate two families traveling together, with a large kitchen and dining area, fireplace, patio, outdoor fire pit, grill, large lawn, basketball net, playscape and more. Our family of 5 plus dog used the home as a base for skiing at Belleayre, which was a quick 10 minute drive away. Our favorite aspect of the house was its location - woods with a hiking trail in the backyard, and a creek running along the border of the property led to hours of exploration both before and after skiing for our kids and dog. Communication with the owner was very easy.

Great winter getaway
We stayed here for 12 days and really enjoyed it. The layout of the house is cozy and perfect for 2 families, with a well-appointed kids' bedroom upstairs that doubles as a play area and three adult bedrooms that are all quite comfortable. Really nice kitchen/living/dining open plan on the ground floor, perfect for after-skiing leisurely meals by the fire. The hiking trail right in back of the house doubled as an excellent sledding trail for the kids to keep them entertained. Owners were great and super communicative for any questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just as advertised
A very beautiful home in a quiet secluded town. The house was immaculate and had all necessary amenities. The kids had a great time on the playground while the parents hung out by the fire pit. I would highly recommend this property to anybody.

The property was on a tucked away road. Beautiful space. Privacy (one neighbor a few hundred feet away). I think I saw a trail in the back. Outdoor deck with fire pit and a lot of wood = fire & fun. We rented to rest up for our outdoor hiking trails on the Catskills. The house was perfect. Great living space area, open concept next to dining area with a nice round dining table (perfect for board games or Texas Hold Em). Kitchen and counter was also well situated for the group to spread out, have their own thing going, while still in ear/eye shot for bonding. Rooms were nice, with welcome set of towels and things. Nice decor and modern renovations with tasteful appointments. Easy to control heating for each room of the house. (6) total beds, but can easily sleep 9 if you sleep 2-up on each queen.Host (Kathy) was very amenable and worked with us to solve our needs. Easy to communicate with. Easy instructions for coming and going. Thanks Kathy!
