House was great. Easy access and plenty of on street parking available. Location was good, right next door to the Mercer-Williams house (you know, from the Garden of Good and Evil). Inside house was very clean and nicely decorated. Very cozy living area. The outside patio, which I thought was on the second level, was ground level and not inviting at all. It needs a good cleaning. We were a group of four woman and each having our own bedroom was wonderful. Only two baths so sharing is caring. Just some things for future guests to be aware of. It is on a busy, highly trafficked corner so it can be noisy while trying to sleep. This is not for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. The upstairs (3rd flr) bathroom as a claw foot tub/shower which is very narrow and difficult to climb in and out of. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It is spacious and well decorated and had everything we needed. Great location right across from the Mercer-Williams mansion and a short walk to Forsyth Park. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful property with perfect proximity to Forsyth park! Just a block away! We loved our stay and would recommend this home to anyone looking to come to Savannah ❤️ the beds were comfortable, I felt safe, it’s right above a cute little boutique and next to many more! Check in and check out was very easy.
Thank you for letting us stay in your home

This Savanah house was right in the middle of everything and was beautifully decorated. We cooked most nights in the house and it went well. I cannot recommend this house highly enough.

This house was perfect for the 5 adults and one 6 month old that is not crawling yet. There are 2 sets of steep staircases that wasn’t a problem for us , but might be an issue for others. The living room was spacious and had a big comfy sofa that was perfect for all of us to visit in! The house was in a great location for coffee shops, restaurants and cute specialty shops all within walking distance. We would definitely come back!

What a great location! In the center of pretty much everything in Savannah and just a short walk to nearby squares it was a perfect spot for my family and I. Very cool and unique spot that had plenty of charm. Communication with the property manager was top notch and we look forward to staying here in the future!

The upstairs air conditioning was broken, they rented us the property anyways and never came to try and fix it. There were very large cockroaches all over the house... terrible experience

Beautiful townhome in fantastic location.
Great location, clean, well-organized, lots of room for multiple guests to spread out, be prepared for a lot of stairs, street noise may be bothersome to some. There were four of us - one in each bedroom. That worked very well. More than four people would have felt too crowded. I would have liked to have seen more hangars in the closets and more luxurious towels. Overall, great experience.

Girls trip to Savannah
The rental was in a great location walkable to all the sites in Savannah. Large space with nice living room for gathering. Lots of stairs as other reviewers noted. And there’s a lot of street noise!! The kitchen was well stocked. Overall a good central location.

Great place to stay in Historic Savannah
I want to start off with the property management already knows about all the issues previous renters have talked about. Whitaker St is very busy and this beautiful house was built in 1870. If you want better construction go stay at a hotel in Savannah. It was pretty loud because of traffic and night life on Friday and Saturday but we were aware of it so it wasn’t a shock. The staircase is beautiful but difficult to navigate. My family just adjusted and the younger kids and my mom were were on the first floor. Tub in the upstairs is difficult to use. It’s an old tub. Once again, go stay in a hotel that’s newer. My only complaint was the outdoor patio space. It would have been very nice to use but was not kept up. I actually went and hosed it off myself but the mold on the floor was very slippery so we did not use. House is absolutely beautiful in a wonderful area of historic Savannah. Close to all things you want to see. We walked to River St, albercon, and broughton and Forsyth park. It is very convenient to anywhere in historic Savannah. It’s large and roomy and the rooms are furnished nicely. Kitchen was great and we were pleasantly surprised with all the essentials that were there for us. Most VRBO’s only leave you a few things. There was enough toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. Easy process for check in. Will be back!

Great location in historic district if you want lots of bedrooms
We loved the kitchen, dining room and escpecially the living room. The large mirror and high ceilings and decor were fantastic.
Two items to note: 1. There are two bedrooms on the second floor and two on the third floor. Whomever is staying on the third floor needs to be good with steps and balance. It's an old wooden spiraled staircase and several of the steps are different heights, so as you go down and turn it an be a big problem also 2. two of the bedrooms are on a street with city traffic noise. However, this should be expected when staying in an urban location and we didn't mind it too much.
We appreciated the washer and dryer and the historic charm is just what we were looking for. We give it a definite 5 stars.

Great location and time for all our family.
Great location, clean, safe, everything was awesome.
The only negative was the street news with traffic.

Perfectly Savannah
My husband and I enjoyed the stay at this home with two other couples and a friend. This house is in a great location to bike or walk around the many historical neighborhoods and parks. The steps can be challenging for some guests, but the house is beautifully decorated and very clean and full of amenities.

Beautiful property with bad management
The property itself was beautifully furnished and the location was great. However the management company, Tybee Vacation Rentals, was horrible. To start with the place was advertised with a full kitchen and appliances including a dishwasher. We got a text the day before check in saying the dishwasher was broken. This was a big problem for us because we were traveling with family and children and staying for a week so we planned to cook quite a bit. As a concession, the management company offered us extra dish soap and paper plates. That was ridiculous to us as we were staying for a week. We finally got the management company to agree to a monetary concession but it was very difficult to deal with them and they were extremely rude. Then when we arrived at the property we found out that the dishwasher had been broken for over a year and the kitchen was very basic and had nothing you really needed to cook with. We ended up having to eat out for many of our meals, making the trip way more expensive. There were other maintenance issues with the property, like a broken stair railing, that clearly hadn’t been fixed in a long time.
The check in process was also a problem. Check in wasn’t until 4pm and then we found out that we couldn’t access the property until the management company sent us a code, which could be after 4pm. So basically we were waiting in the car with a small child to check in. We never received the code in a text like we were told and eventually I found a code that worked on the management company’s website. Additionally the air conditioner had issues keeping up with cooling the entire property. This was not a place for families or a place you would stay for more than one or two nights. It’s a shame really because it’s a beautiful property in an ideal location. I would suggest the owners get a new management company. I would not book a property managed by Tybee Vacation Rentals again.

Beautiful house in the historic district
The house was very pretty, centrally located, fully furnished and equipped. The only thing we didn’t like were the upstairs bathroom: the bathtub was so tiny you couldn’t stand up with flat feet and the bathtub curtains were too long and you had to step on them in order not to wet everything. That bathroom definitely needs a redo.

Wonderful home for our little vacation.
Loved it all. Only thing I would change is the shower upstairs. All of us used the one down stairs.

Great location and gorgeous home
This historic home is redone beautifully with very comfortable living spaces and space to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of room to store bags and food in the rather large laundry room. The outdoor spaces are also quite nice. The only downside to this property is that the stairs are the original style and therefore very steep and turning. They were fine for our group but if you had small kids, clumsy people, or those a little unsteady this property would not be for you. If your group is steady on their feet, I highly recommend staying here!

Great location, lots of space, very comfortable
We rented the property for a week and really enjoyed our experience. The location is perfect and walking distance from everything. We were working during the day and wifi was great, supporting two of us on video calls all day. It's definitely an old building and the walls are thin, so you can hear a lot of noise from the street, but we didn't mind it. Beds were super comfortable, as was the living room couch. We loved Savannah and would definitely come back.

My own and my friends expectations were highly met and satisfied. The house is located in the center of everything, Forsythe park, Chippewa square (Forrest Gump’s bench area), the Mercer house ( midnight in the garden of good and evil), 15 min walk to the river, 15 min to the city market. The house itself was beautifully decorated, had a humbled southern architectural charm. The kitchen in top shape and very well equipped and organized for cooking or entertaining. Outstanding! A small balcony to the outside cord yard a plus when u have dogsor just enjoy a morning coffee. I loved my green room with the fireplace and comfortable beds. This house is big enough and comfortable for a big family or 4 couples or more. Large couch and extra dining room...never to crowded and great for diversity in the house. We all loved it and had a great time. Highly recommend.

A great vacation!
This is a beautiful place. Just like in the pictures! It is a charmy house and very well located. We had a great time. The only suggestion is to do a reno in the tube upstairs, it is very unconfortable, however, it was not a surprise for us because as I mentioned above, we saw it in the pics

Loved how spacious this listing is. It’s usually hard to find a dog friendly, large listing in downtown Savannah. This property checked all of our boxes.

Was OK but would not book again
We have always been lucky w our selections in the past w VRBO. This was not our best. Location is great. Think it needs to be noted no baths en-suite. The stairs are historic beautiful heart pine, but long and steep w winders so not great for certain age groups. Bedrooms are small for the size beds. We booked through VRBO but property is managed by local company. Communication was not good for us because I kept trying to contact VRBO and ended up calling or texting for information which looking back and understanding set up did not work. Take note of local company and use their site. Disappointed that we did not find cushions to outdoor furniture until packing to leave. Would have loved to sit out in courtyard which needs some attention for this price. They are under the stairs on the lower level by the way. I think this house is best suited for a large young family that doesn’t mind sharing the two bathrooms, one of which you have to walk through public spaces and the kitchen to get to. Would not book again. Sorry to be critical but not what we expected.

Great location, tons of space!
This is a great location. Very close to Forsyth Park and the beautiful historic district. It’s an easy walk to River St or very short drive. The rental has 4 large bedrooms and plenty of room to spread out. It was very clean and easy to access. We recommend getting parking passes from the city during your stay to avoid feeding meters routinely.

May 2020 Stay
I rented a place off 424 Whitaker Street in Savannah which was a beautiful clean property for my 4 kids and husband for a celebration to the end of home school from covid19 and my sons Graduation! Unfortunately we did not have any AC the entire time. We tried working with the rental company and were extremely patient. We were given two box fans for an entire kitchen, living room, dining room a master bedroom and a guest room and needless to say it didn’t do the job in May in Savannah. In the end we were only refunded $334 when the trip for two nights cost us $1115. I requested at least one full nights refund (fees included) for the inconvenience of being in 84 degrees and higher indoor the entire time. But I was strongly told no that they will do nothing more. It was very sad to be so kind about it with them and for them to just say they have done enough and they will give us a good rate another time. Just disappointed as it was the air conditioning that did not work, not a broken coffee pot or TV. Took our$
