About this house rental
Located in the heart of the traditional coastal village of Heacham, Little Bunting is a very spacious, semi-detached brick and chalk hideaway within easy walking distance of the North and South beaches, and just ten minutes from the village pub. Dog-friendly with a fully-enclosed garden, this property also offers a sofa bed for the option of sleeping six guests.
Thoughtfully curated, Little Bunting makes a charming family holiday home-from-home, a grown-up base for two couples, or a relaxing couple's retreat. Situated a mere short stroll from the lovely village shops, delightful cafe, play park, duck pond, and two friendly village pubs, guests can also easily access exhilarating beach walks, countryside strolls, excellent cycling routes, or enjoy the many coastal attractions along this stretch of Norfolk coastline. For golfers, Heacham Manor Golf Club and Spa is a less than a ten minute drive away, Hunstanton Golf Club is a twelve minute drive away, and Sheringham Golf Club is less than an hour away.
Set over two floors, this deceptively generous property draws natural light into the open plan living environment. Comprising of an inviting sitting room, dining area and a well-equipped kitchen, this space is the social hub of the property. With ample comfortable seating in the sitting room, guests will enjoy nestling in and relaxing after a day spent exploring. French doors open out to the good-sized enclosed garden, inviting the outdoors in on warm sunny days. The dining table with bench seating is a delightful place to come together to plan the day ahead over a coffee, or share a meal made from the area's delicious local produce. Keen cooks will love making the most of the plentiful worktop space in the kitchen. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms are presented. The light and bright master bedroom hosts a king size bed, with bedroom two offering twin beds. A family bathroom with walk-in shower cubicle serves both bedrooms. Outside, the private garden is mostly laid to lawn. A picnic table with space for six guests sits on the patio area that can also be accessed from the sitting room. Being fully enclosed, the garden is safe place for dogs to roam freely. Off-road parking for to two cars is provided on the driveway.
Part of group of only three properties quietly tucked away from the village high street along a private driveway, Little Bunting boasts a bus stop right outside. The Coasthopper bus service traverses the length of the coastline stopping at many attractions, including stunning sandy beaches, picturesque villages, fabulous pubs, and more, meaning the car can be parked up for the duration of the stay. Heacham has many footpaths to discover, and a great beach side promenade that stretches all the way to the iconic carrstone cliffs of neighbouring Hunstanton. Look out for popular Bordoli's pizza truck that visits the village on a Wednesday evening, and be sure to sample the gooiest of treats from Breakfast and Brownies on the high street. There is also a great antiques shop and cafe to be found next to the Tesco Express. For a larger supermarket, Lidl is located on on the road to Snettisham, and there is a big Tescos in Hunstanton, which also has EV chargers in the car park and a fuel station. For a special culinary experience, head inland to the village of Docking to sample the delights of the Nest Farmhouse, run by a Michelin star award winning team, or head further along the coast from Heacham to Old Hunstanton to find Michelin restaurant, The Neptune.

Great location
Warm, clean, modern house in a good location for the tourist attractions of Norfolk. Provided you have a car, it is easy to reach Norfolk Lavender, Langham Glass, Hunstanton, etc. The kitchen could be better equipped and the house is about half an hour's walk from the beach. They could provide milk on arrival, as there is tea and coffee. Nearest shop is Tesco, about a 15-minute walk. We had a successful weekend as the weather was lovely and we ate in the garden (enclosed, if you have a dog).

A cosy home in Heacham
We stayed in Little Bunting in August.
The house was well located about a 10 minute walk from North Beach, 10 minute walk from Tesco express and close to the park and duck pond which was great for our toddler. There is also a pub across the road.
The parking was handy as it is right outside the property and there is enough space for 2 cars. There is a bus stop outside the house too which takes you directly to Hunstanton, further around the coast and also towards Kings Lynn. The secure Garden was great for our dog too!
The property was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were some basics provided such as toilet roll, washing up liquid and a couple of dishwasher tablets to get you started.
We would stay again.

July 2021 stay
The property was spacious and mainly comfortable. The parking and location was fine. The TV has lots of channel options like Netflix, which was useful, as it rained a lot when we were there. The fridge-freezer is a good size. We were happy with the pressure of the shower. The garden was useful although the garden furniture has seen better days (as mentioned by other people in the guest book).
The main bed mattress is very soft and the bed has a slatted headboard and only one squiggy pillow each so you can't sit up comfortably in bed and read etc. Almost all the reviews in the guest book in the house from other guests over the years have complained about the lack of pillows etc.
To help with packing for future guests...the property is missing some basic items like scissors and bin bags in the kitchen. The towels that were provided were a bit bigger than hand towels but not bath sheets. Only one toilet roll and no kitchen roll was provided. We also needed to buy our own fairy liquid and antiseptic cleaning spray. Washing machine tablets, dishwasher tablets (although we didn't use the dishwasher) and a couple of jay cloths were provided. There was no welcome pack of teas, coffees etc.
It cost a lot compared to what we have paid in other years for similar UK properties - but everywhere seems to have raised their prices recently.
The property is run by Norfolk Hideaways and not the owners. I had some queries about what was in the property in terms of cleaning items etc in order to do a Tesco online shop before I arrived but they were unable to confirm. Norfolk Hideaways did answer the phone and were polite when I called them during office hours.

Home from home
Really pleased when we arrived with property and ease of parking. Secure garden for our springer. Beach within a 15 minute walk, 2 very good pubs within walking distance ( 1 within 2 minutes just across the road and the other about 10/15 minutes away) local Tesco express and fish and chip shop quite close and walkable. lots of local places to visit, a very good place to stay well recommended.

Wonderfully comfortable
Such a lovely place to come home to after a day at the beach. The open plan space worked so well for cooking and eating our evening meal. The small garden was a super private space to relax in and a god send with having our cocker spaniel Maggie. I would highly recommend this property as a base to explore the North Norfolk coast.

A comfy hideaway
I Really pleasant accommodation , very spacious and clean. We would certainly stay here again Just a tad expensive but in current climate understandable. Initially hard to find as tucked away in a courtyard named Jones’s Court which was not on the address . But thats a minor quibble le . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and holiday there

A great place to stay!
We had a great week in this cosy house which had everything we needed for a great holiday.
It was clean - comfy - and with a nice garden which our dogs loved!
The location was excellent - near a variety of takeaway shops and a well stocked Tesco within a short walking distance.
There is a pub opposite but this was not open due to covid restrictions - due to open the week after our holiday.
The beaches at North and South Heacham were a short drive away. We opted for the South beach with our dogs as it was Sandy/ shingle and the North beach is more pebbly.
We would definitely stay here again! We loved it!
