This was out 2nd stay at this location and we love it. The property is beautiful, clean, quiet and full stocked with everything we needed. The location is perfect with a beach and rental kayaks within walking distance and a fabulous snorkling location a short drive away. We will be back again soon.

This was our first trip to the Big Island and the house was perfectly located to explore beaches and volcanoes. The house itself is beautiful and a short walk to the small but lovely Manini Beach. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time. We would love to return again.

Elizabeth is a great hostess. Enjoyed our stay very much. We loved staying at Manini Point House.

Beautiful home beautiful location but neighbors had chickens and roosters so if you don’t mind the noise from the roosters then you will love this home. It’s too bad as the owner can’t do anything about this issue I’m sure.

We had a wonderful stay. I love the Captain Cook area, and this home is beautiful. The hosts are helpful and friendly. We will be back!!

This is a great location for the more active travelers. If you like being close to snorkeling, kayaking, and historical parks, you’ll like it here! The welcome fruit basket was incredible.

Elizabeth was so helpful and the house is stunning and beautiful. Roosters around fyi for light sleepers. Mahalo for the lovely stay!

This house was one of the very best places any of us (six adults) have ever stayed. The proximity to many things to do was really nice. 2 minute walk to Manini beach with really good snorkeling (snorkel gear to borrow at the house) and incredible sunset views. 2 minute walk to kayak rental. Short drive to a National Park, Two Step Beach, Painted Church and coffee tours.
The binder on the counter was full of instructions for wifi, laundry machines, suggestions for local shopping, eating and touring.
We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Hawaii.

Manini Beach House was a beautiful place to stay and had wonderful amenities, but we spent most of our time outside enjoying the lovely lanai. A charming spot to relax and listen to the coqui at night. The house has everything one could want and is a great place to stay with family - plenty of room in the kitchen, even if there are multiple cooks! A fantastic location!
4.9
We were here for a Zen retreat at a nearby home and on Manini Beach. We did yoga every morning at the beach! This couldn’t have been a more convenient and lovely place to hang out between times. The host was superb with the information and instructions. The water and snorkeling - delicious.

What a wonderful place to stay and what a wonderful host. We really enjoyed the location, the amazing kitchen, the walks nearby, and the farm tour provided by the warm friendly host.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect for a family of 6. The location was amazing, 1 minute walk to a beautiful snorkling beach. Elizabeth was a great host and let us tour her farm which was so beautiful. Your about 20 mintues away from Downtown Kona. I highly recommend this house for your place to stay on the Big Island.

We enjoyed our stay at the Manini Beach House. Great Location! Awesome view of the ocean and mountains.
Thank you Elizabeth for the nice welcoming basket of fruits. 😊

We recently had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful home in perfect location with our family of four. We had visited Big Island before and had fallen in love with this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, so we explicitly looked for a house in this area and found this gem! The house was the perfect oasis to relax with a perfectly equipped kitchen. We loved the open windows in the house and waking up to the sound of waves and birds! Another highlight was the outdoor shower which was just perfect when coming home from the beach! The small beautiful beach, which is really less than a minute walk, was never crowded and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and viewing the sunsets! You can rent kayaks and watch the dolphins and Manta rays that reside in the bay!

This is a wonderful home in a unique forest setting yet only a short 2-4 minute walk to the beach and great snorkeling.
The home is as advertised. With comfortable furniture and a complete kitchen. The beds were comfy.
If you stay here and are a nature lover the birds singing in the evening will certainly meet your expectations
We would certainly consider returning to this home.
The host was great. Responded quickly to our requests and needs and was very friendly.

We’ve stayed in this neighborhood several times and Manini Point House is a favorite. We love everything about it: beautifully decorated, wonderful vibe, everything we need. Elizabeth is a fabulous host and we can’t wait to return.

This is our second stay at Manini Point House. The home is beautiful and in the perfect location. We walk to go snorkeling every morning. Thank you Elizabeth for such an amazing experience.

What a lovely property. It was great for hosting our adult kids in our group holiday. Snorkeling at both Manini Beach and Two Step was close and convenient. Kayak rentals too. We’d walk down the lava path beside the house to watch the sunset and crashing waves each evening. The main suite on the top floor of the house is over the top lovely. The two extra bedrooms beautifully furnished. The kitchen had all we needed and the lanai was a great hang out space and perfect for family dinner. Elizabeth was easy to reach. What a lovely authentic Hawaiian vibe.

This house was very nice, clean and equipped. However, it was horribly hot, making it uncomfortable. There were 8 fans available which we had to move around to whatever area of the house were were in. Aside from not having A/C, the house and location were awesome.
4.9
A friend who previously stayed here recommended this house to me. I wasn't totally sure after looking at the photos, but took the gamble and found the property terrific! The house has a great vibe, a lot of room, a fully stocked kitchen and (the best part) it is a 2 minute walk to a snorkeling and swimming spot. Snorkeling isn't at a "beach," it's more a park with an ocean access point. I also wasn't sure about this, but there are chairs and mats in the laundry room that made the park hang perfect for us. I also saw a turtle right at the water's edge. Mattress was comfortable and the host, Elizabeth, was easy to get in touch with. There are lots of towels as well. Would stay here again for sure!

Pictures & description of Elizabeth’s wonderful home are accurate. Home was relaxing and comfortable for 2 couples & 1 seven yr old. Beds were comfortable, decor as pictured , & kitchen fully stocked. We knew August would be hot in the house without AC (& it was) but for most of the time the multiple fans were adequate . They kept us cool at night for sleeping & most days we were out snorkeling or touring Parrots in Paradise, Seahorse & Octopus Farms or Volcano. We snorkeled with Ehu & Kai Adventures & at Mahini beach , both barely a 3 min WALK away. Also less than 10 min drive to “two step” beach. ( WEAR PADDED NEOPRENE BOOTIES THAT SLIP INTO FINS so that walking on lava rock at all beaches will be easy) Snorkeling together daily was our primary focus & all of us found Elizabeth’s home, location & garden PERFECT. The basket of delicious fruit & Kona coffee were a welcome treat! We can’t wait to return & highly recommend.

Manini Point Bay View
This is a beautiful house, while not directly on the water, close enough that you can walk to the shoreline very easily and there is a fantastic view of the bay from the master bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the boat launch, Manini and Ke'ei beach and just hanging out on the Lanai. The house is tastefully decorated and the host Elizabeth was easy to communicate and helpful when we had questions. I especially enjoyed the view from the Master bathroom shower! And nice touch with the 2 shower heads

One minute walk to Manini Beach or Kayak Rentals.
Plenty of beach equipment, chairs, mats, snorkels, etc.
Well stocked kitchen, linens.
This is not a sterile resort environment. You will be living in a neighborhood, so it is more of an authentic experience. If that is what you are looking for, this place is great. Owner was very responsive and helpful.

What a fantastic hideaway! A couple minute walk to great snorkeling or kayaking from a very beautiful home. It has a well stocked kitchen that’s great to cook in, and not too far from restaurants if you want to go out. Elizabeth was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Sadly we were too busy to take their organic farm tour, but there’s always next time! I highly recommend this home if you want to unplug and enjoy the beauty of the island.

Wonderful property with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Six in our party (3 couples) and all were very comfortable. Beautiful property. The owners are super nice and willing to answer any questions but also gave us total privacy. Property does have close neighbors but is landscaped in a way that you feel very secluded. We would certainly stay there again.

The house is wonderful - the location is just a short walk to through a park to the beach, and you can see the water from two sides from upstairs. It’s a gorgeous house, with everything you might need to enjoy yourself and prepare food. Elizabeth (the host) was super helpful. An excellent place to stay - I would definitely go back again!

The place was as lovely as I'd hoped from the pictures. The view from the upper room is amazing, you can see hints of water on three sides.
There's a rocky beach a 5 minute walk away, which is amazing for snorkeling and has a lot of nice fishes. It's one end of Kealakekua Bay, which has the best snorkeling on the Big Island. I wouldn't recommend going to that beach to just splash around in the water though, as there isn't much sand to speak of.
I wasn't completely sure from the pictures, but there are 3 bedrooms so this is a good place for couples, not necessarily for a bunch of single people.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. So many positives to mention about this property and Elizabeth, the property owner.
First off, the location is amazing and the view stunning, especially from the upstairs balcony. Nothing like waking up, sitting up, stretching then opening the eyes to one of the most serene, beautiful views ever.
The Manini House location was ideal for our family as it's literally around the corner from the kayak rental company we return to every time we visit the Big Island. We made a wonderful new discovery; Kona Kays. Walking distance from Manini House is what looks like a fruit stand but offers so much more. Homemade breads, pies, cookies, jams, dried fruit, the most amazing macadamia brittle, and so on. We became repeat customers of Kona Kays and she's just a delightful lady. I'm hoping she'll ship to the mainland! :)
Elizabeth was very helpful from day one. We arrived to a plentiful bowl of fresh fruits and Kona coffee!!! YUM!
The house is spacious and comfortable for 5 adults. Especially nice was having our own bathrooms. LOL
We look forward to our next visit to the Manini House.
Mahalo, Elizabeth!

Manini Point House
The home is beautiful and spacious and was stocked with everything (including boogie boards, beach chairs and snorkel gear) you need for an amazing Hawaiian stay. Kitchen is huge, functional and fully stocked. Lanai is great for all meals. It is about a minute walk from Manini beach park which has wonderful, easily accessible snorkeling and a gorgeous lava/coral point for reading, whale watching or just gazing at the waves. Captain Cook is a short drive for provisions and getting to all essential sites (North Kohala Beaches, volcano) is easy. The only downside is that you will be sharing this paradise with neighbors who are quite close and not always so quiet. This is a locals neighborhood, which is great for getting a feel of Hawaiian life, but the sound of surf and frogs was often encroached upon by music and power tools. If you're out doing activities all day, this isn't an issue and night time quiet rules are observed. Overall, this is still a magical place. The hosts are extremely helpful and available and have a local farm from which they provide guests with fresh fruit and delicious coffee.
