The staff are very accommodating and the resort is absolutely beautiful.
The description of the upgrade room being 200 meters needs to be clearer. It should not state ocean view as that is deceptive as it makes it seem as you are closer to the waters. It should also say those rooms are away from the resort and where everything is located and the only way to access all the accommodation is to have the resort to pick you up by taxi or walk on the main road up to the resort. All which is very inconvenient.

It liked the scenery a lot. The hotel overall was really beautiful with a nice bar, beach bar and pool. A nice restaurant nearby as well for the non-all inclusive customers.
The toilets didn’t have fully closed doors. It was open in the ceiling and on the floor witch was a bit strange just as it was but our toilet also had an issue we’re it keep’t flushing non-stop. We asked for help in the evening when it started but couldn’t get any because it was “too late”.
Because the toilet door was not closed in the ceiling or on the floor the flushing made a very loud sound all night and we couldn’t sleep. We weren’t angry about this at first but when we then called for help the day after they said that they would “come soon” but soon never came and we called multiple times.
After a couple of hours we went to the reception and asked for help there and the lady seemed to be bothered by us. She seemed to be angry and annoyed because we wanted help with this issue. After awhile we finally got help and then the flushing started again but this time help came quicker.
Overall it was not good service, it was really weird to be meet with anger instead of help when you haven’t gotten any sleep because of a toilet flushing all night in a room you paid a lot to sleep in.

It was fully booked but did not feel it
Taxi price, they overcharge you and force you to pay at the reception, so the driver gets only a portion of what you pay. They tried to charge me EUR 20 for 950m ride… did not agree to reduce the price, hence I walked.

The location was perfect for me. Several restaurants close by that were ok. There is a town not far that had some of the best food on the island. The beach was small but the sunrises were spectacular. The sun rises right in front of this hotel. One of the house keepers was AMAZING and one was not. There was only two that I saw.
I got a private pool ocean front but the view was of other guests laying out in their bathing suits directly in front of my pool everyday. Which makes it not private. That is not what I wanted to see. All of the oceanfront suites were like this. The lawn was overgrown. The walls to the private pools aren't as private as they look in the pictures. You could hear every bit of conversation of the neighbors. One of them smoked the entire time they were there and it just blew into my pool area the whole time. Some of the staff were amazing and some were CREEPY and would stare like they were planning their next sex trafficking kidnapping. The breakfast was almost the same everyday and not the best. It was included in the booking so we ate it anyway. If I could sum up in one word how this hotel was run; would be, ghetto. I would not stay again for the price that I paid. The reason I chose was for the private pool on oceanfront and I got no privacy. All of the lawn chairs to lay out are in front of all of the private pool ocean front suites. There were a lot of "rules" that made it almost uncomfortable to stay there. When I originally booked this hotel I could only book it with 4 people through booking.com. 2 adults 2 children. When I arrived and told them I had another 10 yr old child with me they charged me $400 extra we stayed 5 nights. For what I already paid up front for the room to charge FOUR hundred EUR to add a CHILD was sickening. It ruined my stay! Was not worth the money! a normal cot fee is $30 a night and breakfast fee $20 a day that would be about $50 a day. Would have been $250. I could have reasoned with that. But $400 felt they took advantage of me knowing I didn't have a choice and there for make me think grimy management!

Lovely hotel although a little remote. A car would be useful even to get to the local supermarket. The rooms were amazing with everything you would need and they were cleaned every day. The staff were very friendly. We chose a room looking out on to the sea, with a private pool. This was amazing. The weather was fabulous when we went in June this year.
Although the food was really fresh every day, we found the food quite repetitive. The we had no problem with the breakfast, it was always very good, but we found ourselves eating out in the evenings, more than we would have liked. Great restaurants in the area. The Fish Taverna and Porta Del Mar were exceptional. We were very disappointed to find that The Bottega restaurant was not al a carte, as described on many holiday websites. The photos on the Cavo Orient hotel website are a misrepresentation of the food. They did not serve anything like the dishes photographed. This was a big disappointment to us, as we had booked this hotel on the basis of al a carte restaurant food. This needs to be addressed as this is very misleading.

The pool and the beach are beautiful and were making sure we could totally relax during our stay in the hotel. Above all, all the staff is just amazing. They were helpfull and always kind and friendly. During the day we could order drinks and cocktails at the bar from the swimmingpool. The room was really big and comfortable and the housekeeping always came by on the time that we were leaving the hotel. At the breakfast the staff was very welcoming, they were making sure to start of your day with a smile. Our holidays in this hotel made our stay in Zakynthos really special. Thank you guys so much, we would love to come back again to you soon.
Everything was perfect.

Excellent view from room. Room terrace was great and quiet. Pool size was bigger than expected. Good welcome wine and fruits.
Pool was cleaned only after 2 days of stay, on first day we asked to clean it. When we arrived it was really dirty. Most of the time shower did not have hot water, some times hot water was only for few minutes. Housekeeper was not motivated to not forgot to change all towels and leave water. When we arrived, room was free, but we needed to wait 3 hours to get it.

The best thing here was the staff. Everything else was a lie. The pictures and views was misleading.
The view where we were on the same floor as the people outside. They could view us from our balcony window. We had little to no privacy. There were also bed bugs on our bed!!! We got bitten all over our arms and face.

The hotel was located just next to the beach (hotel has a private beach!). We had the room with a shared pool, which was amazing. The room was clean, convenient and just beautiful. The airconditioning was regulated by a touch screen panel from LG and the room had all the facilities (fridge, water boiler, cups etc). Every day new beach towels were placed in the room as well, which is very nice since you'll spend most of the time next to the pool or on the (private) beach.
The breakfast was also very good! A lot of choices and the breakfast area has a sea view as well.
All the staff were nice and helpful. Would totally come back a next time and I can recommend this hotel to everyone!

bed mattress not good - uncomfortable

we loved our room with private pool and the location of the hotel. Maria from the reception were incredible and the only good thing
breakfast was the worst of my life. We went out for breakfast every day. unfortunately, did the cleaning lady rather watch tv on their phones instead of cleaning. Except making the bed nothing was cleaned for a week. Also some of the staff members did not even care to greet. the common pool was very dirty that’s why we upgraded to a private pool suite

very nice room , very clean , the swimming pool and the
beach are amazing. good meals for vegan .
There is a long distance from the room to
the pool / dining room - we chose to drive it all the time .

The rooms are just amazing - one of the best I ever saw
I liked the "little " size of the hotel, which makes it cosy, quiet, exclusive, with delicate, tasty decoration and elegant piano music in the lobby, away from mass tourism. No monster concrete building (the reason why I had picked it up)
Disappointed by poor, rocky beach front
Disappointed by gym situated in the darkness / underground (artificial lights, no fresh air)
Disappointed by buffet breakfast - having to pay extra for cappucino or fresh pressed orange juice - When paying 300€/ night this is more than surprising !!!!

the hotel was clean throughout, staffs are very attentive. foods are good quality 👍👌
some rooms are 5 min drive away and you need transfer all the time to come to main building/reception/restaurant/pools etc.

the food was very bad

The room was spacious, modern and clean with a wrap around balcony and a very distant view to the sea. The room was located in the “annex” which is about 150m away from the main hotel. I enjoyed the walk to and from the main hotel so that was fine.
The breakfast was quite good with an abundant selection and efficient staff.
The layout of the hotel is not well planned. There is a disconnect between privacy and room pools.
The front desk staff were always agitated. There seems to be a poor culture here as there were frowns and discussions between the staff and therefore a lack of attention to the guest. I asked about the tour to Kefalonia and was told it only ran very Saturday and Wednesday when actually there is a local tour company that runs daily. I asked if there was a tour to see turtles and the blue caves on different days and I was told no. I booked all these tours online with Dali Tours who were outstanding. I requested a taxi from Cavo Orient to the port and was charged €55. The taxi if paid directly would have been €40.

Great location, just in front of a wonderful sea. Staff very kind and pleasant. Very rich buffet for the breakfast. Being in the center of the long side coast, it is perfect to go all around the island of Zakhyntos.
