Was what I expected
For $100 for a private single bed room with shared bathroom it should have felt more secure. Felt like the only female on site. No toilet paper. Was lucky I’d packed a box of tissues.

Great location in Fotzroy, funny nun theme (memes all around and fun decor), AMAZING staff
7.0 / 10.0
Room was comfy and close to amenities. TV however didn't work. The heater did though
Just a bit noisy through the entire night. I'm older though

shower facilities on first floor one had no hot water

Reception and cleaning staff are very nice. Once or twice a day there is a cleaning in the common areas and bathrooms. Location is not too far off from the free tram zone
The kitchen is incredibly small, only 2 stoves, cooking in there is like a warzone. Rooms aren't clean at all. Wifi is bad and disconnects constantly. Very few showers with warm water. It's too expensive for what it is

Nice staff and nice common areas. Bed and matress were comfortable.
Thin walls so you could hear a lot of noise. Not a lot of showers and toilets.

Location
Really cold, dirty and small

I really liked the people! It was a great community atmosphere with the other boarders. I also really liked the Free Soup Night, and the lounge room with space to relax, chat to people and play games.
The showers were not very good (on the 2nd floor main bathroom)

I didn't know there was breakfast included. Fantastic location. Lovely old building and comfortable rooms.
A bit noisy in my room above the street.

a great location close to Brunswick St. A friendly vibe and very clean.
The noise. Expected so close to the action on a weekend with travellers, but I was woken overnight from the party loud returnees around 1am, 2.30am and 4am!

location
very unclean, untidy and mould on ceiling fans
5.0 / 10.0
I’ve stayed here many times before. The staff have always been super friendly and although budget accom, it always seemed clean and well maintained. This time staff were unsmiling, showers were poorly maintained, missing doors etc. toilets overflowing with garbage. Normally get a bigger bed too! Surely as repeat customer they coulda shared more love?!

The staffs are very nice and accommodating. Tram stop is right outside. Reasonable price.
Some showers seem to be dripping.

the location is great and its such a nice building.
- only one shower and toilet for like 8 rooms
- the bed is super old and makes a lot of noice when you turn around
- it is a very small room and does not even have a sink

The hostel is certainly unique in ots atmosphere. It has a nice downstairs lounge to hang out. The quiet time after 10-11 in the evening was generally very well kept and it was possible to sleep no problem. There are plenty of breakfast / lunch / dinner spots nearby. The transport connection to the coty center is very good as well.
On my floor the showers got warm only episodically. My bunk bed was coming apart and making horrendous sounds. That was finally replaced in the last day on my stay. There is no breakfast / coffee / tea provided.

The location is great!
The room was full of dust and the corridors in common areas were stincky.
5.0 / 10.0
decent location, nice neighborhood, close to CBD, beautiful park across the street
no air con
no working shower in en-suite female dorm
messy kitchen
creaky beds, if you’re on the top bunk and the person below you tosses and turns, it feels like you’re sleeping on a boat (had trouble sleeping well)

Nothing
Stay away. Poorly organized, not clean at all. Rooms are all disorganized with rubbish, no control or cleanliness. Also, I tried to upgrade to a private room and they have an outraged rule that to upgrade you need to pay for the new room while also paying for your original reservation. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, never seen such a nonsense rule.

Beautiful building, very quiet, fabulous location.
There was a lot of old tissues and bottles etc under and around my bed.
