Fancy hotel in bland location

Very nice hotel attached to a swanky restaurant. From the comments and instructions about a code to access the key, I was worried we would have trouble checking in and/or there wouldn't be a reception. But there is a reception staffed normal hours, though not 24/7. So if you are arriving before 11pm or midnight, someone will be there to check you in. They are very professional and make the place feel very high-end. Room is comfortable, though ours faced the street and so had some street noise and also noise from groups leaving the restaurant and talking amongst themselves as they said their goodbyes. Overall, though, it was quiet enough at night. The complimentary fruits in the room were a nice touch. The bathroom is more roomy that you usually find in Europe.

The location is pretty bland - there's not much in the way of any shops or restaurants in the immediate area except for the spendy restaurant attached to the hotel. It is walking distance to the very large, woodsy "English Garden" though, so that is nice. If you want breakfast in the restaurant, they charge 26 Euro which seems crazy expensive. We didn't do it, so I can't say how the breakfast is if you want to pay for it.

Schönes Hotel mit exklusivem Frühstücksbüffet

Das Komfortzimmer mit Blick zum Englischen Garten war sehr schön und hatte eine kleine Terrasse, da wir im EG waren. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das tolle Frühstücksbuffet, bei dem es an absolut nichts fehlte.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und bequemes Bett

Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und das Zimmer entsprach absolut meinen Erwartungen- klein aber fein. Obwohl zur Straße hin, war es sehr ruhig, einzig andere Gäste hat man auf dem Flur gehört, damit muss man aber immer rechnen. Toll waren auch die Clarins Produkte im Bad. Ich würde wieder kommen.

Parkplatzsituation draußen sehr angespannt, dafür gibts es aber eine hoteleigene Tiefgarage

Superb

Excellent staff, great location close to English Garden, we loved the food in the restaurant. And not to forget the breakfast, included everything you could think of.

I was happy with the comfort of the beds, but our son said his bed was too firm

Very cute hotel with warm and friendly staff located just outside of the hustle bustle of Munich.

Hotel was very charming and located in a nice neighborhood with a park. Easy access to public transport into downtown Munich. The restaurant attached was excellent.

We loved Hotel Freisinger Hof!

This hotel is charming, well run and very comfortable. I would stay here any time I come to Munich! Truly pleasant staff, rooms, beds and breakfast was delicious. The sun room and terrace are delightful, and the attached restaurant was delicious.

I honestly wouldn't change a thing! The underground garage was a surprise at first, but we quickly got used to it, and it was so nice to have attached, covered parking in the rain and cold.

Lovely property in a quiet location, staff could be more helpful.

Charming decor, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was really good, in a nice area, with a great selection of delicious foods. The kitchen & waitstaff were very helpful and polite. They provided gluten free bread as requested due to my allergies.

The front desk staff was not as helpful as expected. Maybe a few were in training. One woman seemed very knowledgable, so we had to wait for her to help each of the clerks. We weren’t able to get a reservation for dinner either night. I had requested extra pillows upon making the reservation, but they were not in the room when we arrived. We asked twice before the staff brought them up & when they did, they knocked, but didn’t wait for us to say ‘come in’ and I was not decent at the moment she opened the door.

There are needed perks to pull me to pay this price again.

- it’s location near the English garden. our room was lovely, roomy, and functioned relatively well.

-I need a small fridge for medication. we didn’t have one although I thought a 4 star hotel would. The staff kindly made up ice buckets for me daily, which was okay yet not as consistent as a fridge. Our room was in “the other” building so treks back for breakfast were chilly but not far. The location of the hotel was okay. I found it to be a bit far from some of the downtown venues and we had to walk about 20-25 minutes at 4 a.m. to catch the S-bahn to the airport. it was dark and a bit of a hike with luggage. Considering the cost of the venue and the meals (breakfast, then supper), I would have liked a complementary shuttle (perhaps one tied in with another hotel to accommodate the numbers?). The staff, mostly, were very good.

Exceptional

This hotel is amazing! The breakfast is delicious and varied. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well appointed and quiet. The restaurant is very good. We had the best meal in a long time there. The hotel is close to the metro station and you can be in Munich easily. It is walking distance to the English Garden and a wonderful place to walk. The staff is friendly and helpful. They work well together and are very professional. I would highly recommend. We ended up extending our stay.

Our stay was perfect. Wouldn’t change a thing.

An authentic German hotel. Like an old fashioned Inn.

The outside is pretty and very charming. Nice dining room. Bedrooms a bit to rustic for my taste. But a good basic hotel. It costs 20 euros to get to Marienplatz - city Center. Nice place to walk in the English Gardens
