The location is on a place where you dont expect it. Very nice houses, friendly staff and members. The restaurant and breakfast are very good. I come back when we are in the area. Good place to be.
To find the Kings grant is a little bit difficult but we called the reception and they pick us up by car. Well done

It was clean and in a good location although the sandy road wasn't very good.
Not geared for the extremely cold conditions. An electric blanket would have helped although a heater was provided

Wonderful stay, very accommodating and the breakfast was amazing đ
No cellphone signal, so I couldn't make business calls.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Kings Grant has quaint old world charm with beautiful gardens to walk through, and benches perfectly situated to sit and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the property. My husband had excellent bass fishing in the large dam. I am a keen birdwatcher and between the two dams and the gardens themselves, I managed to see 65 species of autumn birds in little under 48 hours (excluding the warblers and cisticolas which I'm not advanced enough to ID). It felt safe and secure on the property as well as walking to and from the dams.
The restaurant is a nightmare. They are understaffed - less than the handful of staff running between serving in the restaurant, running reception and cleaning the property. We both ordered the "special" for dinner on night one. My husband (who has eaten Durban curries in Durban for 40 years) was served a "Durban curry" which consisted of one chicken wing and one drumstick. Not a single piece of potato. I ordered the butternut and feta fettuccini pasta. Not one speck of feta in sight and the butternut pieces were so small they might have been garnish. Breakfast was just as bad. No bowls or spoons for the cereal/yoghurt on both days. No milk for the cereal. One small dish of melon on one day, no fruit on the other. No spreads for the toast. We had to ask for butter. We had to ask for milk when our tea and coffee was served. A muffin or two put out with the cereals might have been nice. The poor staff were completely run off their feet, although very helpful. If management doesn't step in to provide better support, they are going to burn out. The spa was closed, and it was a long weekend, so if a spa treatment is a dealbreaker, make sure you call ahead first, so you are not disappointed.
2.5
Nice location and staff.
The restaurant and food were worth the money.
The rooms are very out dated for the amount of money paid.
5.0
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure that you are satisfied. The food is delicious, it's definitely worth returning even if only for the restaurant. My room was extremely lovely and comfortable.
I liked how remote it was and the sound of the animals in the background was so relaxing.
You will not be able to do any work as there is zero connectivity, their 'wifi' is no help. This place is meant for total relaxation.
3.5
Exceptional service from the reception staff and the food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very big. The scenery and location was well suited for someone seeking to refresh and relax
The room was a bit old looking with squeaky old furniture. Most importantly it could have been cleaned better i.e. ensuring that the floors are cleaned and the towels are fresh.
Accessing the facility was a bit of a struggle especially if you not driving an SUV, the road is a bit rough and muddy when it rains.

The breakfast was very good.
The poor Wifi reception was a problem as I had to do work. If not for that It would add to the peace and tranquillity.
