The staff at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. They welcomed us very nicely. They were available whenever we needed anything. Perfect location. There is a lot of activities to do at the resort.
At the restaurant orders were taking time during breakfast.

Some foods were cold on two occasions.

All was great, no complaints.

The location was amazing and the self catering chalet had everything we needed.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We'd highly recommend Little Switzerland to others travelling to the northern Drakensberg.
Nothing.

The view. The helpful staff. Convenience. Cleanliness good.
Couldn't start fire. Stove and toaster need replacing. Couch uncomfortable. Light switches confusing. Should be more things for adults too do like pool/snooker/table tennis. Putt putt course should be larger. Zip line was not challenging.

Dinner was good ad a room for improvement for breakfast.
buffet breakfast or more variety, however it was not bad at all.

It’s quiet and a peaceful place to relax. Hiking was great. Love the view .
The cutting tiles from the contractor and constant noise from the chalet being refurbished which was one chalet away from us. After one day we asked to be moved to another chalet far away from the noise. The internet was down in our chalet for one day.

The staff and place was amazing. The self-catering unit we stayed in was comfortable and clean. My kids absolutely loved the kids club and the various activities that were planned throughout the day for them. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious.
Absolutely nothing...loved everything.

The view from our apartment was amazing, we loved it!
I would say an upgrade to the go karts will be nice. Seem to be old and warn out. Howver the staff were very pleasant.

The view was beautiful, the staff were professional and helpful, the breakfast and dinner buffet were exceptional our compliments to the chef. The rooms were clean and smelled divine. The mattress was so so comfortable. I loved everything about this resort. Will be coming back again for sure.
I just would have loved a extra 2 point plug in the room and maybe a small fridge to keep our water and coldrinks cool but those were small minor things.

Good location
Chalets desperately need updating. Only a few have been updated and the rest are very worn. Lawn is mowed but gardens aren’t well-maintained as one would expect at this price. Even outside of chalets is in urgent need of maintenance.

The resort is clean and beautiful, but not ideal for a toddler. The play area is nice but better suited to bigger kids, although the lady in charge did make many efforts to entertain our kid, she was very nice.
The problem wasn't the place, it was just that we had a toddler and he couldn't run around too much because of the slopes etc.

The location is only 3.5hrs from Jhb making it a quick drive to. Amazing views with a backdrop of the Drakensberg. Child-friendly with quite a few activities (horse riding, go karts) to keep them entertained. Exceptional breakfast with vegetarian options.
The unit itself was also comfortable and spacious. We did not utilize any of the kitchen equipment although everything seemed to be available. The chalet was very clean upon arrival and maintained during our stay. We stayed in chalet 119 which is yet to be renovated but we certainly would like to visit the next time and stay in one of those.
Friendly staff at all points from the reception through to breakfast and also extending to the facilitators at all the activity points.
We really enjoyed the pizza at Tower of Pizza and made this a dinner option twice. The road going to and from there is damaged and caution is required when driving at night.
Hiking trails available at the resort which we were only able to enjoy the one to the Cascades.
Thank you for one of my best yet very short vacations.
As mentioned above, we would love to experience one of the renovated chalets the next time we reserve our stay. A minor problem but still worth the mention. There was one trail of ants that seemed to be leading towards the day bed in the lounge from the kitchen window. We were not bothered by it, however, its worth fixing any cracks at the window to avoid entry.

Exceptional location of the resort. The chalet we stayed in was beautiful and came with a fantastic view. The facilities at the resort are ok. Staff is friendly overall. There are a variety of hiking trails that one can take that will take one through the breathtaking scenery.
Housekeeping did not clean under the beds in our chalet before we moved in. There was a lot of dust and even some used tissues under the bed.
On the morning of our checkout, the maintenance team started working on our chalet before we had checked out. That was unnecessary, they could have just waited until we had left.

People next door to our unit played very loud music almost to 23h00 - so loud that everyone in the resort could possibly hear it.

Catered for our tastes. Variety of options. Fresh fruit was excellent.
No communication about the power outage. Alternate power source not in place. Although it was an Eskom problem, the management should have apologized to the guests for the inconvenience caused. The ensuite sink is not user friendly. The showerhead needs replacing. No one to assist with luggage.

This was not the first time I've stayed at Little Switzerland but it is my first stay since the change of ownership to Dream Resorts. I was concerned that the change would impact on the quaint nature of the place but I am entirely pleased to say that it has not. In fact, I believe Little Switzerland is even better than my previous stay. We were given Chalet 122, one of the recently - and elegantly - renovated chalets. It was perfect for our stay with the indoor fireplace being a welcome addition. The kitchen is well appointed and the upstairs bedroom large, with very comfortable beds. The resort itself is clean, charming and welcoming, as is the staff. Leonard, a waiter in the restaurant, and Bongani, a barman, get special mentions for their excellent hospitality. The real star of the show was the food in the restaurant, however. Our dinner on Friday night (the a la carte menu is different every night) and breakfast on Saturday morning were superb - we were thoroughly impressed and even thought about abandoning our plans to have a barbecue at our chalet on the Saturday night in favour of eating in the restaurant again! We decided to barbecue to be different. We visited the Vultures Retreat bar which is a marvellous pub and felt very homely. We will certainly be back to Little Switzerland!
Chalet 122's location means the view isn't as spectacular as the other chalets facing towards the Drakensberg mountain range but we did not spend much time in the chalet so this was not a dealbreaker. The old-school green fittings in the bathroom in the chalet could be replaced with more modern ones but this is a small gripe as everything was functional. The shower head could use a clean or replacement, though!

Beautiful views and setting.
Definitely recommend the easier hike to The Cone.
Grateful to the restaurant staff who catered to our "complex" dietary requirements and prepared a great birthday cake on top of it.
Excellent customer service from Reception to Restaurant to Karting.
Chalets were clean but out-dated. I realize they are being renovated though so will be great once done.

A spectacular location with beautiful mountain views in a romantic setting. Lots of activities to keep you busy. Friendly staff and good faciliteis.
Housekeeping could do a bit better. We found 2 dead flies on the window sills.

Beautiful location, nice kids play area. The units are spacious and well equipped.
There's no safety rails at the back of the unit, between the garden/grounds and a sharp drop. Because of this, we couldn't use the braai/dining area with our toddlers around. This really limited the time spent outside which was a downer.
The decor is a bit dated.
