Last minute booking for 2-nights over Easter. I read the reviews said it was old, but clean - very true.
The room and beds were comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms were very clean.
Very central, across from great coffee at Beans Cafe, the I-site, and central town area. Not far from the waterfront. 1950 across the road was great for a Good Friday pint & food.
Karaoke out front of the Hotel on Saturday was quite entertaining, and finished by 10pm.
It is a bit noisey - you can hear doors closing and people talking in the hallway. We were in Room 6, and the room at the end next to it (potentially owners?), had a tv on and could hear through the wall (even til 3am). There is light from the corridor coming through the glass at the top of the doorframe - not for those who are light sleepers.
The pub downstairs stopped serving main meals by 7:20pm on Saturday, and then we got told the kitchen were having a break until snacks were being served. We had to go elsewhere for a main meal.

Our stay was sufficient for why we booked room, just to sleep overnight.
It was smelly, carpet was dirty.

Very Comfortable stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and night life.

The location was terrific could walk everywhere. The staff were very helpful and Friendly.
The showers were terrible they were practically down to a dribble. We had two different rooms and the other shower although the water pressure was fine but the wall where the hot tap was got very hot where you could get burnt if you pressed against it or accidentally touched it.

location was in town, also nice building decor, good common area
Showers, hot water didn’t really work

Staff was friendly and the room was simple but comfortable.
The shower was a trickle. There was no way I could have washed my hair. Hostels of the same price would have better water pressure.

Location good. Did not have breakfast
Leaky roof was raining and husband had water leaking from the roof. Wet pillow

Our trip happened to land on a very wet stormy rainy weekend, but the view from the common room balcony was amazing, from first thing in the morning at b.fast time to the last cuppa before bed at night. It was a very relaxing atmosphere.
It could have been better if we were allowed access to our vehicles via the back door exit, rather then going down to the main bar entrance, especially with so many trips to the car on a rainy weekend.

Clean room, very friendly staff, walking distance to restaurants and shops, comfy bed.
My second stay in the hotel and I enjoyed it. The hotel could need some updates on the furniture, but it's far better than the reviews on here.
I don't know, who installed the shower heads in the hotelrooms, but they are for hobbits 😄
