Das Bad war der Hammer!
Die Lage war ansich gut jedoch gibt es keine Lichter bei der Strasse und am
abend braucht man Telefonlicht.

I liked the space
It was pretty run down, walls were in bad condition, carpet was dirty, windows couldn’t be opened upstairs making it stuffy, récord player was not working, no washer-drier, no stove or cooking utensils and no change to order breakfast or any meals… it wasn’t a good deal overall, staying at a hotel or ryokan would have been better and cheaper

this was super comfortable house and loved the open door onsen. fairly good location to cool spots in kyoto.
a bit far from the nature part of kyoto

Very comfortable. Gives you that feeling of a traditional Japanese house. Staff was attentive and friendly whenever you needed help. Open air bath took a little getting use to but it was very pleasant.
Saw some spiders in the bedroom area. Although it didn’t bother me, it can be concerning to others.

This little house was a gem - full house for the four of us which was a pleasant surprise! Spacious for Japan with all basics you need - onsen, tea kettle, refrigerator . special attention to toilet products as well!

This home is beautiful. In the winter months be sure to turn on the heat as soon as you arrive. The private hot water bath with a screen door to the small garden is so lovely, especially when it rains. Great that the dual head shower is in the same room as the bath. Top notch toiletries and comfortable bedding. Easy in-and-out pin-code lock on the door.
We didn't know that we couldn't use the stove, but it wasn't an issue as we ended up eating at several of the very well-rated restaurants that are steps from this home. The hosts also give recommendations in the in-home guide for meals any time of day.

I likes the location, it was just near a Lawsons grocery store, a short walk to the train stations and close to the bars and restaurants (10 minutes).
The property was not as we expected. Not suitable for 5 guests (a couple and 3 friends). Only had 1 room upstairs with 2 single beds, the other beds were futons which were not even set up for us on arrival we had to set them up ourselves, not very happy with this. One futon was to fit upstairs and then 2 in the lounge room which provided minimal privacy and discomfort when others would want to use kitchen/lounge room which sleeping.
The kitchen was not fully functionally which is understandable as it says in the advert it is just a kitchenette, however it only had a microwave and kettle that we could use. Large kitchen with a build stove (as seen in picture) however is not attached and not able to be used, no toaster. Was looking forward to this property to use to kitchen and cook some meals to save some money however was not able and was quite disappointed.
Bathroom was great and enjoyed using the spa h/e not like picture. Picture looks as though it is outdoors on its own with whole door opening. In the property it was in the bathroom next to the shower that a sliding door opened to the garden however only half of the door opened so not the same as the picture which we were a little disappointed about.
