The property was close to everything we wanted to visit. Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Manitou Springs and was close to shopping and parks in Colorado Springs. Was a great trip.

What a beautiful area. Anybody going to an event at the Broadmoor should book here instead. Deer at my doorstep, a babbling brook to ease me to sleep, and a lovely patio!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this property. It is a great location that is close to everything you want to do in Colorado Springs. The brook running just outside of the back porch is a real plus and made for a relaxing ambiance during our visit. The condition of the home is accurately represented in the photos for the listing, and our stay fully met our expectations.

They need an outside trash can or a way to get into the storage area in the car port to discard trash. TV in living room was difficult to figure out. TV in bedroom did not work. I picked this spot for the river being right outside the deck of the home and it was very soothing to listen too.
Overall I give it 5 stars for that reason. If not for the river I would give it 3-4 It is close to the Golden bee and the Broadmoor area along with the Zoo and many other attractions. 😍😍😍

Nice place in South Cheyenne canyon!

Neat, fully equipped little place over a lovely brook. The patio was awesome! It was a lovely place to decompress after a year working in rural Alaska.
But.. We were not aware of this VRBO being a part of an HOA and that there would be look outs! We felt our privacy was invaded. Loved the place but HOAs are NOT for us.

Can't beat the location. Tree-covered streets, enjoyable walking to the Broodmoor and nature trails. For deer-lovers.
The property itself is disappointing. Pretty clean inside, but the outside is pretty bad. Upon arrival we see dirty rolled up carpet in the carport, dirty door mat below a screen door with torn screen. Just dirty/dingy everywhere. Others have made similar comments.
Front porch is overgrown, dirty, cobwebs, screen door with broken closer. Rear porch is better, but the fabric is giving way on one chair.
Backyard view is of the stream and homes across it. The stream is very active, lovely sounds thru open windows.
Upon arrival we couldn't get the key lockbox to open. It's old, maybe some corrosion on molded aluminum. Other VRBOs we've stayed at have modern electronic door locks--no key needed--programmed to our cell phone number. Unless the code on this lockbox is changed after every renter, anyone who has been there can access the key and enter the property. After 10 mins of trying it finally opened.
Inside had been recently cleaned, towels folded on beds like in a hotel. A bit dark and several lamps either did not work at all or were missing working light bulbs. Again, a shame such simple things are not fixed. Limited electrical outlets, maybe bring multiplugs.
I found Dustin polite and informative, but contact was slow. He does not use phone/text like other owner we've met, prefers to use the VRBO messaging which means wait and watch for email.

We loved the creek in the backyard - peaceful sound of water helped us all fall asleep.
There were plenty of mule deer around the neighborhood - all times of the day. It was relaxing just walking around the neighborhood. Plus, there were great hiking trails down the road at Cheyenne Canon. Fantastic views.
The location was close to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (awesome), Garden of the Gods, Broadmoor/Pike's Peak Cog Railway, and Manitou Springs, and free Netflix!
We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

This is a comfortable place for a getaway and a pleasant location. We were disappointed in the outside areas, however (deck and patio)--both dirty and uninviting. We spent some time in Manitou Springs and found an open space with nice views to walk our dog. Overall, good location on a quiet street and near lots of places to eat and things to do.

Great place to relax yet feel at home. Delightful home nestled in a wooded area with a babbling brook just outside the door. If you want comfort and quiet yet only moments away from natural attractions, restaurants and shopping, this is the place to hang your hat and rest your feet after a long day of sight seeing. Two thumbs up!

Loved our stay. The California King bed in one room and Queen in the second room were both comfy. Towels were laid out on each bed for the guests, and the Belgian waffle maker was a huge hit. No oven, but the stove top worked for our needs. Beautiful neighborhood. We woke up to a 5 point buck right outside the window. Truly majestic. Highly recommend!

What a cute little place. Had pretty much everything you'd need. Very quiet neighborhood. It fit us perfectly. Plus animal friendly. Close to all kinds of stuff to do. My only wish was for cable TV. Other than that it was a great get away for first timers. The snow was awesome. The host dustin was great at getting back when you had questions or concerns. Def go back to this place!!!

We loved the location, the house overall was decent, but the master king bed was very worn, undesirable. Two big dips on each side, smelled a but musty, old. The mattress REALLY needs to be replaced.

There were several housekeeping problems, however the host was very gracious about reimbursement. And I do not want it to be a reflection on them. I am sure future problems will be addressed

The area is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We only had one issue and that was the fact that the propane for the grill was empty and we were really looking forward to grilling on the back deck by the babbling brook! But Dustin was quick to offer a little bit of a refund in exchange for the inconvenience!
6.0 / 10.0
Upon check-in the front courtyard was overgrown and I spent the day pulling weeds so when company came over and we wanted to sit outside it would be pleasant. Then we had multiple lights with burnt out bulbs. When I contacted the host he asked if I could go buy them and he would reimburse. No screens on bedroom window over looking creek. Glass in kitchen window cracked. Front screen door ripped. Microwave door about ready to fall off. Patio furniture on deck over looking creek ripped and torn. The worse was the bugs in the tree on the back deck. It was gross they just kept falling out of the tree and as soon as you would clean them up they would fall again all over the decking, umbrella and BBQ. Not property owners fault as it was a heavy rain year and the tree was full of Afids. But they were notified immediately and no one came came out to spray until our last week there and we were there a month. We never could enjoy the back deck with the creek. House was extremely dark and depressing.
Mainly, the reason I am writing this almost a year later is that I am appalled at how much they are charging people post pandemic to stay in a house that is so run down. And obviously for what they are charging they could put a little back in. The only positives are that it is a "GREAT" location and the Host was responsive with the emails, but nothing other than they sprayed the trees for bugs, probably because the had new guest coming in.

Close to things to do and places to eat. The place was quiet and the babbling brook very appealing. Do to the fencing and all the trees it was private and very comfy. Enjoyed the back patio and wonderful weather everyday. It was a wonderful vacation.

Basic rental
Neat area with multiple trails/parks/open spaces close by. Fifteen minute STEEP walk to conference space at Broadmoor. Had everything I needed and was a clean space, but this is really a basic rental when it comes to quality of bedding, cookware, etc. Served my purpose just fine though.
