The Game cabin was spectacular! Clean, comfy, cozy, well stocked, and games galore! The property is so beautiful and peaceful tucked away in its own piece of paradise. Check in was super easy and communication with owners was excellent. We really enjoyed the outside property including trails to river. Inside fireplace was so welcoming on chilly nights. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will definitely be back.
Thank you for sharing the Game cabin.

Location to multiple places and things to do in Ashtabula & Geneva made Rustic River ideal. The added experience came from the variety of Fall colors which varied from North, South, East & West.
We, however, found the beds to be noisy.
Overall, very happy with our stay and the uniqueness of the property.

Fun and friendly cabin. Full of activities. We most enjoyed sitting by the pond and watching hundreds of tadpoles while listening to the frogs croak.

We had an amazing time - the cabin was so comfortable and roomy. The outside has a patio which we used when it started to rain and a dock we sat on and enjoyed the pond. Very quiet and beautiful landscaping. The location is perfect to all the wineries, and the beautiful country roads.

Coming from Arizona back to Ohio where I grew up was a great experience and the green all around this magical property left my wife and I anxious to book our next trip back. My son loved the floating dock on the pond. Yes, we will be back soon!
Thanks for a wonderful stay

We stayed here while attending a swim meet at the Spire Institute. Worked out perfectly as a place for the girls to hang out between sessions. The classic pinball machine was a real hit!

Great Time
We went to 15 wineries this weekend and stayed at the Game Room, all within 15 miles. There is no oven or stove but there is a hot plate. Big firepit, alot of outdoor sitting, walking trails and pool table.

Great Cabin!
I will start with the negative but it’s a short list. The fireplace smoked terribly, and the pinball machine doesn’t actually work. Because the fireplace and pinball machine had been selling points for us we were disappointed. But I have to say, the cabin quickly made up for it. Between the games, the trail, the pool table, the wooden raft?, the outdoor firepit, and the plethora of activities on the patio, there’s no way a family with kids could get bored or even make it through all the activities in less than a week. We plan to return and rent all three buildings (the 2-person cottage, the game room, and the main cabin) and fill the rooms with family and friends and just let the kids have a blast playing. My husband and I enjoyed the pool table and time outdoors, and the kitchen was just big enough to comfortably cook meals. All in all a great stay and I’d recommend it to anyone with kids maybe 10-teen.

Family retreat
The game room was awesome. Teens spent most of the trip playing pool, pinball and cards. We also rented the main cabin. Thank you Brian for a great vacation!

Nice place, but mosquitos were terrible
The property has everything listed. The rooms are very clean and the games were so much fun to play. It is about 20 minutes to anywhere you want to go. The only downfall of the property was the mosquitos. Growing up our house was about 100 feet away from a large pond and surrounded by woods, so I'm used to some mosquitos and well water, but I've never seen mosquitos this bad and the well water was nothing I've ever seen before (buy water to take for drinking like the owner suggests). We tried several time to walk around the property and go hiking in the woods, but each time we were swarmed and running back to the house, even when we wore bug spray. Even just getting out of the car and going into the house there would be several mosquitos trying to bite in the short 50 foot walk. We actually just started running from the car to the house to try to dodge the mosquitos. It was very disappointing because we were looking forward to hanging out outside by the fire pit, going hiking, and just seeing what the property had to offer. All in all, it was great little house to stay in, but I'm still undecided on whether I'd go back just based off the mosquitos. I feel like we missed half of what the property had to offer.

We have stayed there before, and were happy to be able to make it back. Love the property and it's setting!!!

The main area of the cabin is very large with an open floor plan--great for hanging out with the family. The pool table is great. There is a full size refrigerator, contrary to what other posts say. It is behind a curtain in the kitchen, which could be mistaken for a utility area. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful. The cabin is a cluster of 3 on the property. The property would be nice for a summer gathering of multiple families. There are covered porch areas, fire circles, a pond with a dock, etc. The cabin was clean. The bathroom is small, but was clean. We live nearby, so we returned home to shower. We would definitely return. The area is nice in the summer with Lake Erie, Geneva on the Lake, local wineries, etc.A few cons: The pinball machine is "vintage" -- from our Google search it is from the early 1970s. It works and is fun, but is not arcade quality. The fireplace smokes and is basically unusable. There was a note to "crack open the window next to the fireplace for better draft". My husband taught outdoor ed for 10 yrs and builds one match fires all the time. We have a fireplace. It was not our technique. The cabin had a smoky smell when we entered. We tried to use the fireplace without the window open since it was very cold. The smoke set off the fire detector. This was a big disappointment because we had even brought our own wood (wood is no longer supplied for free by owner). The fireplace is the main reason for giving the property 4 stars instead of 5.

Perfection!
We had a fantastic time! We had originally made plans to visit a few wineries and do some hiking but the cabin was so comfy cozy we only left for a few hours out of our four day trip! Definitely planning on visiting again!

Excellent
We stayed in the game room. The kids loved pinball, pool, and floating on the wooden raft. Enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and even heard what sounded like a coyote in the distance. No luck fishing in the nearby river. A great change from the boring hotel stay and cold breakfast buffet.

Nice and Relaxing
My husband and his friend said multiple times that they want something like this place to own in their future. It was nice and relaxing. On the first night we went to Geneva on the Lake and came back to the Rustic River. We played pool and darts and then sat by the fire. The second day we walked the trails on the property. Then we went kayaking down the Grand River. We came back and had another fire. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Cozy fun
The game room provided proximity to area wineries and covered bridges. The pinball and pool table were nice entertainment for the evenings. My friends and I are planning to return next year.
