About this house rental
This well-furnished and architecturally unique two-to-three bedroom house is located on 2.5 secluded acres in Aquinnah. The house has gorgeous 180 degree water views and the private beach is just a two minute walk away on a grassy path.
The house has 2 bedrooms on the second floor: The master has a full-size bed with an adjoining bathroom & shower; the other has twin beds plus an adjoining bathroom. There is also a small office located upstairs between the bedrooms. The house will comfortably sleep 4 persons.
Televisions /DVD (Comcast cable) are located downstairs and in the master bedroom. Wireless internet is accessible throughout the home.
On the main floor there is a lovely kitchen with lots of light and great views that opens into a small dining area, sitting room and corner study.
A small semi-circular deck is right outside two large sliding glass doors. There is a second large living area with a dining table that seats four, but opens to seat ten. A third bathroom containing a full bath with tub and shower also is located on the main floor.
The house is equipped with a washer and dryer, dishwasher, electric stove, and efficient gas heater for chilly nights (rarely needed in summer). Because it is a private home and the owners love to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with blender, food processor, mixers, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, bread maker and lots of pots and pans .There are lovely dishes as well. The house comes with all linens, towels, table linens and lawn service. There is also an outdoor shower that overlooks a small garden. Lawn care is provided.

The property was ideal for our needs. Perfect location to the beaches and a small store.
Daniel was the perfect host, always only a text away to answer our questions. I highly recommend 11 Pilots Landing if you desire privacy up Island and a short walk to the secluded beach.

Beautiful views
We really enjoyed staying here for a week. We loved cooking and eating in each night with the beautiful views of the water and lazing around on the porch in the AM drinking coffee. We ended up using Lobsterville Beach (5 min drive, allows dogs, beautiful, mostly empty, felt like a private beach in mid June) instead of the private beach bc there were a lot of ticks in the area and they kept getting on our dog when we walked in the grass on the trail. Important to do tick checks each time you go out as we found a few crawling on our shoes too! Danny was very responsive. We utilized the chilmark general store a lot for food and all the local farms w amazing produce!

I’ve vacationed in Martha’s Vineyard 15 times and this location with 500 yards of private beach in a remote private location takes the prize! We loved our stay and Danny was immediately responsive to any questions that came up. 100% returning.

We frequently vacation on the Vineyard and spend our vacations up island. We have rented several properties with views but none has come close to this. There are three decks, one off the master bedroom upstairs. The other two are on opposite sides of the house from each other allowing for a choice to be in the sun and the shade at all times. A private beach on the Vineyard is always a luxury. The outdoor shower is contiguous with a full bath downstairs.
Overall this is an "outdoor house". It has an open floor plan with lots of sliding glass doors and windows with panoramic views. Ideal for summer, you can't do better on the Vineyard. The feeling imparted is one of being outdoors with sea breezes and panoramic views with the comfort of a roof over your head. We weathered a tropical storm with windows and doors fully open in total comfort and security.
Owner could not have been more responsive and patient despite his "high maintenance" tenants. emails, text messages, etc were responded to within the hour (at the very most).
We rarely stay at the same place twice but this is a definite keeper.
The place is fine for a family, perhaps two couples, but maybe a little small for two families. Also, the open plan is particularly suited to the summer. A fireplace or stove would make this place gezellig in the fall.

We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, and very well equipped. You can see how much love to detail was used in each room. The location was incredible, with ocean views from most windows and a 1 minute walk to the beach. The host was always available and very helpful, responding to emails/texts right away. We definitely want to come back!!!!

Location, location, location ! No better get away than this charming cottage with access to private beach. Two decks and both of them provide captivating panoramic views of the water. Every morning our family was waking up the sounds of the ocean and wildlife. No neighbors... no sound of cars, no trace of civilization...literally a 2 minute walk down to the private beach on a path one of a kind... decorated with bouys on each side, found on the shore over the years. Picturesque private beach and if you love walks within 10 minutes you will reach famous Aquinas Cliffs. At night the light from the Gay Head Lighthouse sweeps across the property. This lovely house has a real home feeling and features a private collection of great books in the library. House easily accommodated our family of six and had everything we needed, the kitchen was more than fully equipped. Oversized outdoor shower is to die for! Minutes away from the bike ferry, which was an adventure for the kids and provided fun access to Menemasha shops, ice cream, and of course great restaurants. Walking distance to arguably the islands best restaurant! If your lucky enough to find an open week…grab it and experience an unforgettable vacation on this awesome "up island" property!

Upon disembarking from the ferry we began an adventure of wonder and delight. As we arrived at this house and started unpacking we immediately felt ourselves relaxing. The view, the sound of the waves and seabirds, the smell of the ocean all welcomed us. The house was clean and well prepared for our visit. The house is interesting as it has grown over the years with additions. There are multiple decks with outdoor seating and tables. Indoors there are several comfortable conversation seating areas, two eating areas, three bedroom options, three bathrooms, a well-supplied kitchen and for the workaholic- several workspaces with wireless internet service. We used the outdoor shower daily. While it was just the two of us, this house can easily accommodate a large family or two small families. For a week we basked in doing as little as possible, often just staying in all day reading and relaxing. The sandy beach was a short walk from the house offering amazing sunsets and a visiting seal! If you want privacy and quiet, this is the house to rent. This house in Aquinnah is the ideal retreat we needed. We are already looking forward to our return next year.

We just completed a stay at this lovely secluded waterfront home. It has great views, is very comfortable, and is a quick 2-3 minute walk from a beautiful small beach. We spent several afternoons walking on the beach to the Gay Head cliffs and watching beautiful sunsets. This home is perfect if you want to be off the beaten path, with peace and quiet and eat in. It is not for you if you want to run into town every five minutes. House is very comfortable and well equipped. Deck is great for lazy evenings grilling out fresh seafood. The large outdoor shower is fantastic! house is well maintained. I would definitely come back here again.

My husband and I rented this cottage in May and love it, it was exactly what we were looking for ( A private romantic vacation). The house was fully furnished with everything you could think of, it is practically on its own private beach, in 5 days we only saw 2 people on the beach. Also it is a short walk away from some amazing clay cliffs. The owners were great and very helpful throughout the booking process. I would recommend this cottage and look forward to visiting next year!
