The definition of pastoral. Quaint 1BR cabin nestled in a tree lined valley on a horse farm with a goose-filled pond. If you need some peace and quiet this is a place for you. Oh, and Guntersville Lake is right across the street! Give it a try - Anita, the host is great!

This was more amazing than the details listed. We will definitely be coming back.

Pastoral setting. The screen porch and outdoor BBQ area overlooks horses grazing on the same property. Mike checked in on us as we were unpacking and gave us information and offered help if any need arose. For the 2 of us the cottage was the perfect size and had all the boxes checked for a comfortable 2 night stay (that was ours) or longer. We enjoy quiet and less crowds and this was the right place for us.

Short stay due to volleyball tournament but was everything we needed! Very close to the sport courts, quiet, clean and comfy. Walked the property, visited with horses and walked across the street to the lake too. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. Only minor complaint is to update the cabin window box A/C, as it took until about 5 am to finally get comfortable to need a blanket. Would definitely stay here again!

1. The cabin was musty and smelled
2. The little air conditioner didn’t cool enough
3. The beds were not comfortable and the headboard in the bedroom smelled like a rancid armpit
4. The stove was non functioning
5. Tons of cobwebs on the porch
6. Cabin manager did not answer phone and voicemail was full
7. Not enough toilet paper for our six night stay
8. It smelled like CAT
We left 2 nights early

Our cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. Our host left fresh potted flowering plants on the screened in porch. We enjoyed relaxing in the peace and quiet. The view of the sky, pond, horses and barn was nice. The location is the perfect combination of privacy and convenience. We observed a herd of deer, a heron, toads, lizards, song birds and butterfly's around the property. Great spot for nature lovers. The horses were curious and welcoming. Plenty of outdoor seating around the grill. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend!

This small cabin was beautiful on the inside with good enough A/C and comfortable beds. The parking was great for our truck and bass-boat. The host gave us great advice on nearby boat ramps, restaurants, and fun things to do. We will be back to stay again.

We loved our weekend getaway. We had a great time enjoying the property from fishing, petting the horses to seeing deer at night and in the morning. We even enjoyed the frogs in the pond. Only issues was the spiders and the mattress needed to be replaced. But those things still doesn't keep us from wanting to return in the fall. We highly recommend Char Burger for any time of day.

My family and I stayed in this rental for a brief trip to Albertville, AL. The property owner was amazing to work with. We will definitely rent from her again on future trips to the area.

We loved everything about our stay... except the brown recluse in the sink when we got there😆....other than that we wouldn't change nothing. It was so peaceful over looking the beautiful horses grazing in pasture....and peace is what we come to get..thank you!

I wanted to love it here. The property is beautiful, the horses are amazing. The cabin itself was a little bit of a let down. I kept my expectations low as I knew it was going to be on the smaller side. The screens on all windows including porch were old and falling off allowing bugs to continually enter. Because the windows were unable to be opened there was a musty smell in the cabin. This might be solved if there was another air conditioner in the cabin. Preferably in the bedroom as this room was the hottest in the cabin. All could be easily fixed with small updates. Including the mattresses. The mattress in the bedroom and the pull out sofa were unbearable. Also the toilet seat did not fit properly on that model which was a big problem considering I was staying with my 3 small daughters. I appreciated the good hospitality and the extra towels. I feel like I would even revisit again if these small things were fixed.

The cabin is neat and well-appointed and has a view across well cared-for pastures and horses and a pond to the big water of Lake Guntersville. Perfect spot to catch your breath and read a book, and perfect for my husband and I with our adult daughter - she had great privacy in the bed off of the family room, even though it is listed as one bedroom.

Rustic little cabin in a great setting. Had a rocky start to our stay, as we arrived at night and it was cold and dark. We struggled for several minutes trying to find the controls on the gas heater (hidden behind a front panel) but it warmed the place quickly. Things appeared clean, although the ceilings & fixtures had some cobwebs and the porch furniture was dusty. I’ll give this a pass because we booked only 1 day before arriving and there probably wasn’t time for a deep-clean. Appliances are mini-sized, which was fine since we didn’t plan on cooking. Limited space for luggage, but there was an armoire for hanging items. Lots of natural light except for the sink/vanity area. I’d advise an eye mask if you plan to sleep late and a makeup mirror to use at the kitchen table.
On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, linens clean, the WiFi & cable worked, the shower had great water pressure & plenty of hot water! The sleeping alcove in the den is a unique feature and the gas logs make things very cozy.
Although this cabin is a little rough around the edges, I would definitely stay here again. It has more character than a hotel, lots of privacy, and beautiful surroundings!

Beautiful property and a quaint, comfortable cabin. The property and cabin were clean, quiet and inviting. Anita is very nice, and attentive to her guest’s needs. The cabin is cute, but I can’t say enough about the property. Located on a small horse farm across from Lake Guntersville, the property is pristine and beautiful, and also located within minutes of Guntersville. I was sad to leave, and plan to stay again. Thank you Anita!

The Cabin smells really bad and the towels smell like cigarettes. I was never able to get WiFI, and when I called Anita to get help, she said she would help by sending a link, but I never received anything.

This was a quaint cabin with a pasture out front full of horses and lake view. The hospitality was great with an easy check in. We appreciated the privacy and enjoyed our campfires and morning coffee in the screened in porch area. This was our first time visiting Northern Alabama and it did not disappoint. The scenery is beautiful with mountains, valleys, and the lake. We went to several parks, hiked, and enjoyed Sunset drive along the lake.

The cabin was cozy and comfortable for an impromptu trip. The kitchen is compact but we knew that in advance and planned accordingly. We enjoyed the screened porch and the lovely peaceful view across the horse pasture. There is a bedroom, a sleeping nook and a pull- out couch, so we each had our own bed. We had a great time. Thank you!

Quiet, peaceful setting on a horse ranch across from the Lake. This was the perfect little getaway for my family. My youngest son is a cowboy at heart so he found this little place to be Heaven on Earth.

What a darling cabin in a beautiful setting! We had such a wonderful stay here at the ranch. Anita was wonderful and attentive when there was a little mix up in our reservation and made us feel welcome right away. We enjoyed seeing the horses and spending time at the state park swimming. We had a gorgeous night grilling out and star gazing in the hammock. We will definitely return to this special place!

Very cute cottage with excellent decorations facing a pasture and pond on beautiful horse ranch. Lots of space for our boat and truck and could easily park multiple boats. Cottage has a window unit A/C. It was more than enough to keep the entire cottage comfortable. We hope to stay there again soon.

The cottage was cute and nice in a quiet area on a farm. Only cons was the bathroom shower had no pressure and barely any hot water, the fridge in the kitchen was small and had no ice so we had to go buy a cooler, and it was right next to another cottage and stables which we thought it was on its on. Overall we had a nice stay for a short weekend.

My husband and I took our two girls (11 and 6) to Guntersville for Thanksgiving. We just wanted some quality family time and fun. This cabin was perfect for that! We loved that it wasn't far from town but felt like it was out in the country. Our girls absolutely loved the open area to play in, the great fire pit, and the horses. The farm manager and his wife were so so sweet and even brought the girls treats for the horses. They loved getting to feed and brush the pony, "Pumpkin." Inside the cabin was so cute and inviting. It was the perfect space for the four of us. We had a blast and made many wonderful memories. Can't wait to come back! P.S. We highly recommend making the drive to High Falls Park to see and explore the gorgeous waterfall there! That's where we had our Thanksgiving picnic lunch! :)

This was the perfect location for a relaxing weekend getaway. The cozy cabin, breathtaking views, pond, horses, just completely beautiful. Anita made the whole process a breeze and so welcoming. We definitely look forward to staying again in the very near future!

Perfect. No real walking access to Lake Guntersville but a short drive to beautiful walking paths that follow the perimeter of the lake.
Lots of parks and scenery nearby. A very serene and quiet horse ranch.
A perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

Great camp-like atmosphere. Beautiful property. About 10-minutes away from all of the restaurants, town center, city park, city harbor and about 15-20 minutes to Guntersville State Park. Quite a few horses on the property and the owner encouraged us to go and pet them whenever we wanted to. No lake access but a slight view of the lake; but that was ok because we drove to various different places for access to the water, fishing, etc. Great camp fire set up out in the field in front of the cabin. We also used the outdoor grill to cook on the first night. Weather was beautiful and the kids thought it was awesome to wake up on a farm and go and out and see the horses. Cabin was cozy. Fun horse and ranch décor. Screen porch was amazing for coffee in the morning and just relaxing out front. Queen bed, fold out sofa bed and a full size bed/ nook which was perfect for our little ones. Nice little pond out front with a canoe that we enjoyed. Overall a much needed, convenient and fun get away. Hope to stay there again soon.
